What angers me is that Dr. Mate and Professor Finkelstein are looked down upon by their own people for just saying the truth and having a conscience.

You're right. A trial in The Hauge, as one example, would see him violating Protocol III (on the use of incendiary weapons) of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCCW). There is clear evidence that white phosphorus has been used in heavily populated areas in Gaza inflicting casualties and immense suffering to a predominant under age civilian population in that area. Video documentation and witnesses would have him sentenced in Day 1 if needed. This is just facts.

The UN resolution gave 50% of the land of Palestine to 6% of the population. There is no way under the sun that this is just. The indigenous Jews and the Palestinians are both treated as second class citizens by the European based minority. There should be a one state solution, with all citizens treated equally. The European based minority would be free to stay or leave as they please. But they would no longer have political power.
Dr. Mate is such an admirable person, he manages to disolve anger and evokes understanding of the situation. That's a rare quality in the world where most people think the highest achievement is to shout over one another and inflate their egos.

I am glad to hear Dr. Mate’s opinion on this subject, I respect this wise man whose work helped me overcome awful lifelong trauma. I visited Israel in the Spring of 87, during a truce of an entifada, and was able to observe and learn first hand everything Dr. Gabor is describing. My opinion of the state of Israel was forever changed after that trip.

As a Jew growing up in Sweden I was subjected to a lot of racism. But not for being a Jew. Just because I looked like a foreigner. I told my friends we need to leave and that was it. Nothing happened.

It's rarely asked "how should a people respond to 75 years of dispossession and occupation?". Self-defense does not apply to an occupying state’s wars against those it occupies. This is almost never stated.
It's a bit more complex than that though, what if the occupying state doesn't actually want to occupy but feels it has to only to protect itself, because whenever it starts to deescalate its occupation horrible attacks begin to happen? Because the organsiation governing the occupied state has its stated target to completely destroy the occupying one, and has never been interested in peaceful coexistence? Does self-defense also not apply in that situation?

Most of Israel is currently very much uninterested in coexistence as you say, and the exact same applies to most of Palestine. But 20-30 years ago things were very different on the Israeli side, there was a strong left and many, many more of us wanted peace and a two state solution, at that point Palestinians refused multiple offers of going back to the 1967 borders and started the second intifada and suicide bombings, and then both the peace process and the Israeli left died 😥 if you're not aware of that maybe you should read some history books?
Your claim the land was "stolen" is also a one sided and very oversimplified way of looking at it. Please have a read about the 1947 resolution and the 1948 and 1967 wars and try to see things from both perspectives, any hope we have of peace depends on being able to come to a mutual understanding of the situation rather than each side digging further into their one sided reality (which is currently happening on both sides)

Where's the evidence that the Palestinians have been mistreated prior to Oct 7th? Why was the state of Israel proclaimed in 1948 by the US and UK? Wasn't it the diaspora after the end of WWII? Didn't they say those Jews had no home? What are you supposed to do when a flood of people want to go back to their original home? How was the confiscation of Palestinians' properties justified at the time? Did the Palestinians at that time have a government of their own? Palestine was a ?protecterate (like a colony?) of Great Britain? Now I hear that the Palestinians have representatives in the Knesset. To understand what is really involved there boggles the mind. What are you supposed to do with avowed terrorists? War is Hell - can it be made nice? They say Nice Guys don't win ball games. I seem to recall that in ancient times, the people of conquered nations were made slaves, and for people to be made freemen, they had to fight for the nation that had conquered them. How it all applies to what is happening today - I don't know.
There is no justification for October 7th. They killed innocent children and raped women. These are civilians that have nothing to do with the conflict. It’s unacceptable. However Israel’s response in my opinion is even more unacceptable cuz they went even further with the whole Palestinian population.
Trying to justify October 7th is never a good point to make cjz it’s horrific what they did. HAMAS makes things so much worse for the Palestinians. The point is that Israel went a step further and did worse things. Two wrongs don’t make a right. They’re now commuting a genocide
Both are equally as bad, but not every Palestinian is Hamas and not every Jew a warmonger it is just a select few disciples of the Devil.
I am Coptic, my wife and her family are Coptic. They’ve visited Israel, because they are pretty religious and they want me to go some time. I said absolutely not. The way they described their trip it was as if the Palestinians didn’t exist. They encountered some rude Israelis while there, but for them it was pleasant. I told them I could never enjoy being there knowing the oppression and brutality going on in Gaza and the West Bank. I’m also a heavy bearded dark skinned Egyptian man, I can only imagine the bigotry and dirty looks I would get.
