Larry & myself just got back from vacations, and our brains were just not all there.
My brain couldn't put together that gypsum is a mineral, and that it's on our soil recommendations, and Larry zoned completely out when I said Trichoderma.
We questioned remaking this video, but this one is pretty authentic because, we are far from perfect.
Also, this is the 3rd video where something went wrong with Matthews mic. Ours were perfect, but his was on the wrong channel the entire video. I tried to up the gain on the sound to compensate.
That being said, Matthew had us literally crying because we are laughing so hard. I hope that makes up for us being out of it a bit. :)
Would totally watch a video more about biologically complete compost. Also would like to know if there’s a certification when searching for it?
You have to get it tested for it to be considered biologically complete. A soil food web consultant can do this certification.

Hey guys, enjoying the content from Tulsa. We will be doing some business soon. I’m having to manage an outdoor grow for a guy that has a budget of almost nothing. Bare minimum to just harvest, cure and test. But once we get some money rolling. I want rigorous soil testing and really dialing in on both the outdoor next year and hopefully a small indoor facility we want to build for this winter. Keep up the content.

I just picked up an Irrometer, first grow, and it’s definitely validating my over watering, lol. Look forward to dialing it in!
Why do you think these devices aren’t talked about more? Maybe because how useless those other sensor types are people are afraid to drop $100?
People are stubborn. They show real quick that you jave zero idea how to properly water though, and it shows how much the need for more or less water changes. Very valuable tool.

Okay! I saw there is another one for sure, how do we enter? Since Chris is a vegan, does he grow his own veggies or microgreens? I recently got a gift of a lot of soil and bought a 4x4 bed and now I’m literally trying to grasp everything and you guys are honestly great!
You can email your questions and we can see of we can get them in a video. I grow food and sprout seeds when I have the time for it. I actually use to grow about 1000 pounds of my own food per year. I had a lot of time on my hands then though.
Side note: do you think i'll see consequences if i keep my irrometer rocking between 20-25? I'm not sure if my calibration is off, but my plants seam to have the best turgor around that range and the top of the soil stays pretty moist. Thanks for all of the great info.
We've had issues with plants that stayed in that range. That being said, I think there is plenty to learn and if it's working for you go with it. It would be interesting to scope your soil and see the microbial life in that range though.

I found online humic acid can neutralize the chloramines in water, would this be acceptable to replace having to use a filter
We talk about this specifically. A filter is always the best option. Why risk it?
