Hi! No problem :) As for the adaptations after updating the new version, some units will turn on after the update, but you will have a bug in the 5F module SVM B201A!
If the car is under warranty, they will update it for free.

Hej, pytanko: jednostka nie była aktualizowana od nowości, czyli około 5 lat. Czy bezpieczne jest zaktualizować od razu do najnowszej wersji? Mam problem z charczącymi głośnikami (problem występuje tylko w ciepłe dni) i rozważam aktualizację bo wygląda na to że to nie problem fizyczny z głośnikami. Może słyszałeś o takim problemie i masz jakieś rady? Będę wdzięczny za każdą wskazówkę. Pozdro

The unit which you have is MIB STD2 ZR + Navi, app connect is a function that is written in the FEC / SWaP code table, if you only update the firmware, it will not add or delete any further of the unit table in FEC / SWaP code table. For activation disabled function you need patch the unit by the PuTTY SSH Linux shell program on USB to RJ45 to PC, latest firmware update for your Unit is MST2_EU_ZR_P0478T.

If you have a car from the USA, and a unit that is programmed under the US, to have access to the language versions for Europe, including Russian, you need to convert from US to EU, for this you will need OBDeleven or VCDS and D-LINK DUB-E100.

Hi! Do you format the SD card on FAT32? Put all files from 7zip on root folder at SD? You're Brother has basic MIB, update is not available, you can change the unit at MIB2.5 3Q0 035 874C 😉

My unit is patched and VOICE and App-connect is activated (not in originial VW service center). If I update SW from P0867D to P0891D will the unit loose applied patch and then app-connect and voice control will get locked? I have also found FW P9122D_MU0842 but not sure if I can update to this one since this FW starts with 91 not 08. Thank you for your reply.
Hi! If you have a Delphi unit, the latest version is 0891D, the armpit in these units is done by loading FEC / SWaP codes via SSH, and these are not updated when uploading a new firmware, so you can update safely.

The App-Connect service (MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, Android Autoplay) can only be purchased and activated in Volkswagen Passenger Cars manufactured from week 22, 2015 with the factory systems: Composition Media 2nd generation and Discover Media 2, Discovery Pro comes with all functions activated at the factory ;)
You would have to replace the unit with a new one to have AppConnect.

3Q0 035 819x are not supported AppConnect, the simplest unit that supports this function is 3Q0 035 824C, I recommend replacing it with this one.

That is some bug off the OBDeleven. Now you can only try update check via ODIS. But what i know is the latest FW for this unit hardware.

For this unit, you need OBDeleven or VCDs to do the adaptation of the new version.
There is a risk that it will not turn on fully operational without adaptation.

I do not understand how it is possible, according to VW ETKA, Product nr 3Q0 035 819x is Composition Media :)
And the units with navigation are Discovery Media Product nr 3Q0 035 846x / 3Q0 035 864x / 3Q0 035 866x / 3Q0 035 874x , where x is the generation age of the unit.

The reason why i was looking for it was because my previous golf 7 did not have an atenna, and my current GTE does have it… So i tought that would be for the navi or something…
So… if i can “add” them… The only way is with VagCan?
Yes, i will have that same story, my old Golf from 2016 doesn't have antenna on the roof, but new one from 2020 does have it, but vw makes difference parts, if you're car is factory from Composition media antenna is supported only AM FM, if Discovery Media then you have supported AM FM and SAT, end last generation is Discovery Media with DAB+ then antenna support DUB+.. It's crazy but is true 😉

No, it's not true, the update only writes system files, FEC SwAP containers remain intact, VW has information about the release in ODIS Online and ERWIN.

Hi, write what unit do you have? What have you done specifically? If the factory unit supports AppConnect, the USB connector is also installed, the ones that support the connection of Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay, if you changed MIB1 to MIB2, you need to replace the USB connector with 5G0 035 222 K

Yes you can update by USB if you're unit supports updates via USB. FEC and SWaP are stored in different memory, nothing can be deleted or add by updating.

Hej! Niestety masz jednostkę MIB1, która jest już po za jakimkolwiek supportem, jedyna rozsądna opcja to wymiana na MIB2 3Q0 035 824C z AppConnect lub z końcówką 874C z Navi i AppConnect i DAB+, do tego ekran po liftowy z ramką i masz super multimedia w aucie.
Szkoda bo samo radio mi pasuje i nie potrzebuje nic więcej
Na allegro możesz poszukać takiej samej na wymiane, ale będziesz musiał odblokować ochronę komponentu przez ODIS-a. Chociaż jak patrzę na ceny tych jednostek to dokladasz 200zł i masz MIB2, którego możesz sam odblokować jak masz VCDS albo OBDeleven i kabel D-LINK DUB-E100.

No, there are only fixes in the update, you must have D-Link E100 and PUTTy to activate FEC and SWaP codes, where is AppConnect/Android Auto.

@@carinfotainment It's definitely a Delphi Unit with Discover media with Navi. The SW version is funny though. Are there newer versions than the P0635D MU0757? Is the file patched?
For this version of the unit xxx A unit, it's the latest version (safe), if you upload a higher one, you can freeze the unit, there are no patches, because Delphi is patched via SSH on D-Link SUB-E100.

Ja zmieniałem u siebie z 824C, który z resztą aktualizowałem na tym filmie 😁 na jednostkę 874C, 824C sprzedałem koledze z montażem i kodowaniem pod jego auto za 800zł, a za jednostkę którą kupiłem czyli 874C zapłaciłem 1400zł na allegro, kodowanie, usunięcie ochrony komponentu, aktywacje fukcji musiałem zrobić sam oczywiście 😉
Twoja jednostka jest warta około 400zł jak byś chciał wystawić potem na allegro, a za ile trafisz nowa to zależy od szczęścia od 1200 do 1500 z reguły szroty wystawiają.

The 819x unit is the basic system, it does not support anything except Bluetooth. I recommend replacing the unit in the glove compartment with the 874C, it handles everything.

If you have a version in which a tile is displayed in the AppConnect menu, you can turn on this function, you can also voice control, to do this you need IT skills and equipment (OBDeleven or VCDS) and D-LINK DUB‑E100.

@@carinfotainment that link you supplied didn't work. I put it on USB plugged it into the car. Went to install the software by holding the menu button for 2 seconds. Clicked update via USB device. It then says error: variant conflict.
