  • For over a year now I have been thinking about building another tiny house. A reason never presented itself though and the budget was equally as absent. By June 2016 though an idea had started taking shape and it most certainly called for a tiny house on wheels.
The premise of the Santa Claus Haus is to serve as a micro tiny house on wheels that could showcase some of the basic tenants of a tiny house as well as be a showcase piece for local events and scenes. First and foremost though, I wanted to build something that would be seen in the nearby holiday parade (arguably the largest gathering in the whole county, year round) and gain some attention.
With help from ONDUVILLA and LP Smart Side, the project took shape and was built for less than $1,000 although with a lot of called-in favors, elbow grease, and determination.

Great home using wood - not plastic. Thank you for the video. It looks like a lot of effort went into this project. Well done!

...any one as a clue as to the Canadian street with homeless when $1000 can make a home ...better than in wind -35 Celsius in open sky air ...even a card board box makes a difference but stuff get stolen when 1 go for food or just walk about...

So much wood; so many trees cut, surely from the forest, very sad

Yes. Wood = trees. Pine wood = harvested and replanted trees. Not so sad.
