  • This beautiful Gypsy Wagon, also called living wagon (woonwagen or schrotenwagen in Dutch), Pipo Wagon, Tiny House, Wooden Caravan or Vardo is a traditional horse-drawn wagon developed around 1810 in France. They were soon used by showmen traveling with fairs and circuses as their homes. Romani began living in gipsy wagons around 1850, they called their home a 'vardo' and it became their most prized possession. This Gipsy Wagon was built circa 2018 by P. Schuermans in The Netherlands. In the earlier years of the 20th century, when P. Schuermans' father was still alive, the Schuermans family built, maintained and repaired various Gypsy Wagons. This Gypsy Wagon was built with the typical white wooden slats on the outside and the partition wall with sliding doors between the living room and bedroom on the inside. The dimensions of the bedroom is 210 high x 200 wide x 170 cm long. The living room is 210 high x 200 wide x 318 cm long. It has the well-known and famous raised roof with windows in the roof on both sides, the so-called 'cuckoo' roof. The windows in the living room and bedroom can be opened with the tilt position. In the bedroom is a fuse box located that supplies the Gypsy Wagon with power at various locations. There are double doors on both sides of the wagon, both of which can be fully opened and are equipped with locks. Windows on all sides of the wagon, sleeping and storage compartments. The Gypsy Wagon is in excellent condition, hard to find one like this! The Gypsy Wagon does have a Dutch vehicle registration, license plate and comes with the needed paperwork. Weight approx. 1800 kg.
    Dimensions (H x W x D): 290 x 225 x 600 cm.
    Condition: Excellent.
