- A short walk around video of our latest build, a 23' Showmans Caravan.
We built this with the holiday rental market in mind, so it has sleeping for 4 in a seperate bedroom to the rear, a proper bathroom, a kitchen area (with hot & cold water, sink, fridge / freezer and grill / hotplate), and lots of other great features.
The whole van is insulated, with 3" of either rockwool or solid insulation in the walls, floor and ceiling, and the bedroom and part of the living space is double glazed - once the 6kw Godin multi-fuel stove is lit, it gets very cozy indeed!
Other features include heavy exposed beams, carved corbels, a barn door, a built in dresser, Tiffany lamps shades, and a delightful balcony to the front. At 4' x 8' approx, there is ample space here for a couple fo small chairs, so you can really make use of the long summer nights.
The van was hand painted by Stephen Route, a professional artist whom we have worked with on several occassions, and the roof is of galvanised corugated sheet, protected further by a coat of red oxide primer, then black gloss.
The interior we have left in the raw, so the customer has the choice whether to was it, stain it, or paint it. Personally I would leave it to mellow for a couple fo years then varnish it, but the choice is yours.
I am also willing to make small changes to this van if it doesnt exactly match your needs, or I can build a van to your own specification and / or budget.
As 'glamping' (glamorous camping) becomes ever more popular, summer rental prices are now in the region of £500 - £600 per week, so this Showmans Wagon could realistically pay for itself in 47 weeks, or 2 - 3 seasons.
This very van is currently for sale, at a price of £23,500 ono.

I would love to see a caravan of these in the same style and paint layout but in different colors. Imagine the beauty of those coming down Main Street.

One of the best I have seen. Even the balcony could be enclosed and a fold up deck added.

I love the addition of the drying rack & the bed arrangement. I'd want more of a cooking kitchen though. Even though the wood stove is lovely, maybe one to cook with. Also love the extra details & paint job.

Just stumbled across this wagon and wow what craftsmanship. It is absolutely beautiful and who ever owns it now must be one very proud owner.
In really loved this RV! Details like the stove, the window seat, the wooden brackets, the rocking chair, the bunk bed, twin bed combo, and the bright colors outside are warm, ingenious, and inviting! However, I really have to say that there's barely any cabinetry for storage! I don't see a fridge either, and the bathroom lacks a shower, which are essential items that could perfectly be integrated into such a big camper! For instance, the designer could enclose the balcony with double pane glass to turn it into the sitting area and remove the old, exterior wall to open this new area to the interiors. Then, in the new sitting area, build two Vardo couches facing each other with storage underneath and shallow cabinets on top. This way, where one of the chairs and cooking stove used to be, a new closet could be built and the bathroom extended to include a shower. Now, the wood-burning stove could be moved next to the sitting area where the tall window is. This will free up space to build a long counter with cabinets from the new wood-burning stove location all the way to the bedroom to place a cooking stove, a stovetop micro, a sink, and an under-the-counter fridge. In the end, the chairs would have to be sacrificed to make room for the essentials! I hope you guys don't get mad at me for my suggestions! Thanks for sharing!

This home is beautiful and has everything in it I would want. It would also be great as an ADU, put it in your backyard for guests or elderly family. The only thing I might change, because my husband and I are older, I would like just one big bed in the back, raised a little for the storage underneath. This one is great!

well as a romany descent , well half , i know this is not like a real varda/vardo but its very nice , the fire is not big enough for a start , they lived in them in winter and no such thing as insulation then , they needed them , they had the dresser yup, but much more storage , this is much closer to a showmans , fairground , even then they had a lot of storage and built in sofas that became a bed at night , they had a big bed under the parents bed for children like this often too, big families , i lived in one every summer , much higher off the ground than this , we slept under the varda in summer , the dogs slept there too to keep us safe
good price though , has to be said , given it can be towed its legal too thats nice
