Good morning Steve. Just checking in to see what you picked up recently. Or as they say. Checking out your new grabs. I will have to check back in later on. I will not have enough time to sit through the half hour. Talk to you later on. The Third Sound tizz new to me. I am going to give them a whirl in my car before food shopping at Roche Bros. Have a super day. Is it sunny there? Have to admit. The springs in Boston {as you know} are usually more summery hot than springish. But this year we have been blessed with some really nice weather. Hope you guys are getting the same~

Rob, what, my video is tooooooo long, me, looooooong video. I’m shocked lol. At least I’m consistent my friend. If you didn’t hear the sample of King Buffalo give them a listen Rob, they were by far the most favorite of the samples. It’s starting to get hot here also so the pool business is booming. I am staying very busy trying to keep it organized.

Am I the only one whose stomach dropped while sitting on the comfort of my couch just watching that train on that bridge? Yikes. Thank you for introducing me to The Third Sound. I am definitely going to have to take a deeper dive with that band for sure. The first album I ever bought from a recommendation off of CZcams was one of yours. It was The Underground Youth, Mademoiselle. The Third Sound while not exactly of course, but sort of reminds me of them in a way. But I really really have to thank you for the introduction of King Buffalo. That album is now a must for me. Thank you Mr. Steve Carlson.

Good afternoon Stever.... Must be some trout streams up in those mountains. When are you gonna do a fishing video with your grandson? It's time you introduced the little fella to Grampa and Grandkid pursuits. Fishing with you will be one he never forgets. Just ask anybody that fished with their Grandad or Father and they'll tell you to do it early and do it often... It's a very strong bond that develops Steve. Get to it kid.... Aww maybe he's a little young yet but it is never too early to start just about anything I figure...

On another note I once rented a train for the day and had 14 miles of track which I used to get lots of sound recordings for a film I worked on starring Denzel Washington. Absolutely had a blast on it. And had full run of the train and every car. But I am grateful we never had to go on any crazy looking bridges like that one. Have a wonderful day my friend.

Made a note of the Lemon Drops.
Did you know no Icelandic sirnames stay the same? They have kept the old norse tradition where you are named after your father with ‘son’ if your are a boy and ‘dottir’ if your are a girl. Björk was named after her father Guðmundur, so her name is Guðmundsdottir. We did that here in Norway, where the people of Iceland comes from, but it started dying out in the mid 1800’s. But the ‘sen’ is a remnant of that. Nilsen og Jensen, would have been Nils-son et. If we kept it up my sirname would have been Arvidsson. My sirname Aastad is from the farm or place (plass) my fathers mothers family comes from east of Oslo.

Andy, luckily when it comes to pool maintenance I work for the one my son bought. Actually my grandson was at a public pool We only clean commercial pools and it has been crazy but it is slowing down. King Buffalo was incredible, there are a lot of new fans of that group Marie was a fun twist to the video lol.

Steve, I was joking about the pool maintenance. Just a tongue-in-cheek recognition of you spending 7 days a week running it!

I really miss Detroit Martin, that is such an awesome city and easier to get around than Denver. Traffic here is stupid crazy.

I have a couple Mighty Lemon Drops records - the first two, I think. The comparison to Echo and the Bunnymen is spot-on. I really like those records. King Buffalo rules, along with the Zonkman. Great record. Marie Osmond singing Zydeco? I understand she has a hip-hop album coming out next week - evidently she and Cardi B. have hooked up. (jk) Thanks for showing the records Steve!

lol, Marie and Cardi B, I hope that does not hurt her image! King Buffalo was awesome Randy, I am now an official fan, the Zonkman converted a lot of people in one video, that was by far the popular needle drop

The Mighty Lemon Drops - one of those bands where a kind of dumb named probably tanked them more than they realized. I have an Osmonds video coming up in a few weeks.

An Osmond video, I would be very interested in that. To be honest, I never ever gave them a chance. It was too wholesome for me though I was a very well behaved preachers kid.

I think Sherbet Monster is much better than Mighty Lemon Drops. King Buffalo sounded great. The Mighty Lemon Drops not so much. Weren’t the first two albums by the Mighty Lemon Drops their best.
The Osmonds were cheap. Whatever props or food that was used in the skits they would take home. On all the other shows my uncles worked on they would let the workers take and share the food or whatever was used. On one skit there were hundreds of balloons used. My uncle said it was so funny watching them try to stick all those balloons in their cars.
While we are talking TV studios, Lucille Ball was the worst to work with. And I knew Jim Nabors was gay in the 60’s but I didn’t really know what my uncle meant when he told my parents he was fruity.

Those are fantastic stories Richie. Too funny on the Osmonds. Stuff your pockets with all the food, we will eat like kings for a week! And then happy funny Lucille was a diva, I guess I could see that happening. King Buffalo is great, it has been getting a lot of spins Thank you Zonkman

::TAPS FOOT:: We're going to have to have a DISCUSSION, Professor...this disdainful attitude towards popular and decent modern country music like Marie Osmond HAS TO GO.....ROTFL! Seriously, I thought KIM was melodramatic about things, but that review....yeesh...melodrammer EVERYWHERE! And a scream to boot...and before you ask, YES, I DO have that album, and YES, I DO like it (LOVE it, actually). But I also recognize the ripeness for comedy inherent therein, especially when someone with the name "Osmond" is involved...heh heh....have a great week, sir!

Hahaha I knew that would get you TC but the fact is, I Did Show a Marie Osmond album and last week a Barry Manilow album! What is happening to me I was raised in a very wholesome family but I never got into the Osmonds or….ready for this…The Waltons TV show. For shame, I was a rebel
