Today we're going to find out how easily you can complete Professor Oak's Challenge in Pokemon Black and White! Hey everyone! Two things:
1.) I'm sorry I haven't uploaded in like a month, but there's A LOT of issues that I had with videos in that they were either not entertaining enough for me, or just too hard to complete in a small time frame. I appreciate you guys for sticking around, and there's PLENTY more on the way.
2.) I've been streaming almost every day on my Twitch account, and I'm going to be doing LIVE CHALLENGES on there after I'm done with my nuzlocke. I usually stream at 4:30 EST!
3.) The audio corrupted for part of the voiceover, so I'm sorry I sound like a robot through parts of it :/

I really love the 5th Generation and its incredible that the games were released almost 10 years ago
I agree with your statement but for me, it's not just the 5th, but the 4th and 6th as well (6th that I think is underrated).
Phil 21 Most people don’t think Gen 6 is bad, but it’s just way too easy, especially XY (but mega evolution was the best thing to ever happen to the Pokémon series)

Since you're talking about Megas, while I like that concept a lot, it's a shame that none of Gen 6 mons (but Diancie) have Megas.
(Although I still prefer that concept to Gigantamax, due to how the latter works.)

The grind is freaking insane wild Pokémon in gen 5 already give exponentially less xp and not only that the higher level you are the less xp you get

have you *tried* archeops plus flying gem with acrobatics? defeatist is a bad ability, sure, but archeops is so fast and you're so overleveled in this challenge that it's so op

stab 110 power acrobatics coming off of a 140 base attack stat is nothing to sneeze at
Well, at least Defeatist only lowers its Attack stats.
@@superlombax1561 It's SpAtk gets lowered too. Specially offensive Archeops would be viable if that were the case. The thing has a 112 base SpAtk.

The reason I loved this generation so much. Moving sprites, maaan everyone complained that 5th gen pokes were bad, to a certain extent yeah some of them are bad. But people forget not only did we get new pokemon, we could also see old ones with a moving animation, charizard sprite -> 3d zard.
Every gen has its share of pokemon people dislike heck gen 1 has VERY SIMPLE designs too lol but apparently gen 5 HAS TO GET TARGETED BADLY..... anyways nowadays i see people praise gen 5 more than before lol
Imo the 3D models that came with XY are slept on. As in one year after the last main entry, the new one had 3D models for more than 700 creatures (including more than 600 old mons).
Yeah you may say that it's not as expressive as Gen 5 moving sprites, imo they're as much expressive as them (and more expressive than the Gen 1-4 static sprites).

@@phil2160 I'm curious if this is the reason why SW/SH doesn't have the full national dex in the base game, and potentially after the release of both future DLC. Given the amazing graphics we have now, how many pokemon exist and having saved 3D models for every single one, I'm beginning to wonder how much storage the game would need. That's not even including models for shinys and the slow addition of more Gigantamax forms. Even adding Mega forms to the game would only further increase the necessary disk space.
@@xninjabluexTV I mean, gen 7 could handle about 810 moving sprites as well as all shines, Z-move animations for all pokemon, and mega evolution. Im pretty sure gen 8 on the switch could handle it

HGSS will definitely be the hardest challenge from what i can think of. the post game would be MURDER because of not being able to get your 9th badge and all the potentially new pokemon to find due to it being gen4. if you tread that path, i pray for your patient soul (but would enjoy watching the video on that challenge just to see how extremely lengthy it is)
Idk if someone noticed but Johns voice is much lower at the beginning of a video compared to the end. I noticed that while watching a "JohnStone marathon". Good to have you back with yet another video :)
The final grind catches added so many that you could probably make a rap remix with him naming the pokemon he got

Hey, its fine! I was even thinking just a lil while ago "whats John up to?". Taking a bit of time, I knew something big, some neat challenge was in the works. And there are definitely worth the wait!
Take as much time as you need. I'm pretty sure, most people that watch ypu know that these are quite some time consuming things and appreciate the challenges and vids you do. They've sofar always been enjoyable, thanks alot for them!

This was a really incredible video! So glad to see someone doing something interesting in one off my favorite, most nostalgic games of all time. Honestly, though, I really wish they would remove the experience scaling with levels. It hurts watching you get less than 20 experience per battle.

However, because I have no patience to grind and I don't plan on posting my run on reddit, I plan to also use cheats and exploits.

Incredible runthrough. I think it's about darn time I finish my run of Black and White finally... Need to train the starters, do the Swarms, and figure out how Black City/White Forest works... I never thought of switch training Yamask, that's a good idea.
About the DS freezing, I've had this quite a lot during my time playing my DS, I assume it to be caused by poor contact between the system and the cart, sometimes it happens. It usually led me to save often due to that.
I don't think you missed anything else, but I know you can catch both dragonite and tyranitar at the same places as their pre-evolutions
