We aren’t there yet but the huge spending bill waiting to pass is a large step in that direction. Redistribution of wealth is a big part of that bill. Unfortunately, the notion of socialism is a seductive idea, it SOUNDS lovely and for young people in the midst of their very left leaning education it is just the newest generation who thinks that socialism could work. It’s not hard to talk when you full of information that is not true . Under Trump debt went up 3x what it was under Obama. How much does his house cost. Do he know how much child care cost? Who is giving him money. No one is saying black and white children should be separated. He’s full of crap and defunding the police is not what he’s representing. He doesn’t say that that the 3.5 billion will be broken down over 10years. Which pays for it self by creating jobs and enabling people to work not having to rely upon government. It also reduces homelessness and and other poverty issues. This is a long term investment. Defund is probably the wrong word but police like any other employee should be held accountable, I’ve seen seen people at McDonald’s being fired for not putting fries in the bag, less more killing someone for running a stop sign or running away from and altercation with a cop. They're already paying the largest share of taxes-- these kinds of issues are extremely convoluted in reality and require multiple steps to address. Then you have to factor in tax returns and why some aren't paying taxes. Not everyone is paying out dividends and chooses to focus on growth, and shareholders accept this. Government contracts, corporate welfare, off-shore accounts etc. Then there's the question of how much support the government should provide for people and how to not incentivize dependency. People with degrees in this shit are still debating the best solutions, or whether it's fair to take away from people that have earned their money (aka, people below the top 0.1%). In practice, increasing taxes on the rich pretty much just affects the people that earned their way and doesnt phase the elites, and federal government just uses this as an excuse to remain reckless on their spending. Tax increases alone are a wet bandaid

I recently met a older white man who left the democratic party after he was kicked in the head by a donkey. His IQ dropped to 58 and he now believes in politicians over scientists and medical experts... He was diagnosed with cancer a couple months ago and contacted his local congressman for advise... His congressman told him it was a democratic hoax and not to worry... So now he's lost 67lbs in the last 3 months without even trying!!... His republican wife says he sleeps all the time now and has begun to smell, but he's glad he didn't go to those damned lib doctors with their political agendas, and crap he didn't like to hear... Libs are so un-constitutional.

The problem is the fact that many people in Washington have been raised on a golden tit. Many are unaware of what real life feels like. They have no limit to spending in their personal lives, and can't wrap their heads around budgeting. Herein lies one of the major issues.
Who controls the government? ...it is the Wealthy owners. Rand and the Wealthy do not tell you that Economic freedom comes from ownership of Wealth, therefore every citizen must be guaranteed in perpetuity the ownership of sufficient disposable Wealth to ensure their economic freedom at all times, unconditionally. ... or else people suffer and die while some of them rebel.

If a person is put in an office they should have some knowledge of it. If I bought a business it would make sense to know the product that business is selling.

@Snake Eye's remember those people pay tons of taxes if you include ALL taxes they pay. Keep in mind they pay sales tax, excise, property tax etc….
@Snake Eye's why hate them? They couldn't even take the write offs, if Congress hadn't made the laws, that make the loopholes. If you are mad, you should be mad at the career politicians that made it possible.
