Maybe an unpopular opinion but I LOVED the episodes from touring. In the series of this pod that was my fav season without a doubt. The live pod last week was amazing and I’m already excited for the next tour & the episodes it’ll bring, happy 200

It’s not so much that we don’t want the vaccine, most of us do. Main reason lots of people aren’t vaccinated is the government fucked up securing the vaccines, hence why the rollout has been pretty slow.

Vaccine rollout in Australia has been absolute garbo. Lack of recourses and poor manegment on the gov's part make it hard for people who do want the vaccine to even get it.
It's crazy to think that cody was getting mad at someone doubting his knowledge of body building, like 3 years ago.

Was a D1collegiate athlete for 4 years I've done every type of lifting there is. Olympic lifting, powerlifting, everything. And everything in-between. Australia have had a slow rollout of the vaccine and people need to book in to receive it, problem is a lot of people need to wait until later in the year until they can get vaccinated. As for low cases in melbourne and sydney, Sydney has recorded 200+ cases each day for about 2 weeks now, government isnt planning on opening anything up any time soon.
To put those cases in perspective: there are approximately 5,887 active cases in the state of New South Wales (where Sydney is), which is the per capita equivalent to 28,482 in California. Of course, that might not sound like much to Americans, but it's a pretty significant amount for us, especially as our government is trying to keep track of every case and where they are coming from.
As for the vaccine: 47% of eligible population (i.e. over 16) has received their first dose, and 25% their second dose (compared to 59% and 50% in the US). It's less about the anti-vax crowd (as Cody claims) and moreso the terrible rollout of the vaccine. Officially, it's still unavailable for adults under 40 (besides critical/healthcare workers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, etc.) unless they go significantly out of their way to find a place that might have some availabilities.
It's also important to note that there's a somewhat significant percentage of the population in more rural areas, so they're unlikely to see the vaccine as a priority. But I guess the same applies in the US too.

The reason we don't have a high vaccination % in Australia is because we haven't had access to the vaccines for very long. like our government just didn't buy a significant amount of them and didn't have an efficient roll out plan. Only now are we starting to increase the national uptake.
Australian here - our prime minister is being slow asf with the vaccine roll outs, it's being given out in age brackets and you have to fit a certain criteria to get it. We aren't not getting it by choice, it's just not getting given out enough
To be honest, that is the Pfizer vaccine that has those rules. And in Australia we initially put most our money on AstraZenica. A shame because AZ went through a smear campaign. But in the end you are right where the whole country's rollout is fucked.

Idk there was a big scare with astra giving people blood clots. Basically we have super limited supply, and it's hard to justify begging for more when other countries need it way more.
