If you wanna build a Funwheel, start from the first video in the playlist. I have got a whole list of parts you need!
This is a project I have been working on for a long time.
A PCB that can hold a 12S2P battery pack for the Funwheel (DIY One wheel). - Věda a technologie
Great of you for the other guys mention, thank you sir.
I can appreciate this concept so so much
Shoing in Black is confusingly.Show in reel when jou putting batteries together
Just watched the battery build video and that will be a "no" for me. I like my hands and want to keep them. :-)
Looking forward to your finalized design being available. Thanks again for the clear thinking and great work!
How do you solder in the middle section? that looks hard. Also, how do you solve batter dislodging from vibration(and voltage drop from nanosecond disconnects)?
Supercool! i ate all your other videos last month. if i didnt purrchase a whole kit was because of the shipping costs to Spain (plus further custom costs).
I dont know how chineses have such ridiculous shipping costs and get to avoid customs.
I was also considering the option of using those cell holders to make a battery pack for my diy mountainboard, but i didnt find any which had that massive pins to bear the battery amperage.
Btw, the jehugarcia's battery holders for powerwalls were cloned/copied/rippedoff by tons of sellers in aliexpress.
Keep going! amazing work!
Great idea. Safe battery assembly is a major limiting factor to DIY Funwheel build. What is the ETA for release?
Personally what I would like to see would be individual P groups, something like 1S8P like NESE is. That would easily allow to build big packs, rather than stacking 4 of these in the board. But for smaller esk8s these are perfect and I might pick one up once I'm rebuilding my small esk8. I was already looking at those cell holders, that these can handle big current, it's nice to see that someone is experimenting with it.
I love seeing custom PCB designs solving problems! When these are done will they fit into a standard Onewheel compartment? I’ll most likely be purchasing a full kit at some point but if I can get some more range out of my XR with a custom battery that’d be swell.
It seems like this project has been discontinue, does it not hold well when it is been use in the PEV application?
If you do any future revisions, I’d recommend putting holes in the PCB to allow using zip ties to hold groups of 4 cells together (2 front + 2 back). This is a great option for safe travel as well. I hear that once you establish a “relationship” between a group of cells, you should mark them in order and always use them together and in the same order. Thoughts?
I recommend taking them off for travel. Single cells is safer than traveling with a pack.
Why the relationship ? I've never heard of anything like that but interesting thoughts
@@Fungineers right when I mention travel, I mean remove the cells. The relationship thing comes from the vaping community. They’ve learned a lot of lessons from accidents with 18650 cells. I don’t know if it is anything more than an abundance of caution.
When will these be available for purchase? I'm looking to order parts for a funwheel in 2 weeks
That's great!
Good to know I'm above average by building my battery pack. Hehehe
Do you have a link to the PCBWay website or source for these boards, I can't seem to find it.
Thanks.

@@Fungineers I think that he wants the files of the PCBs.
Oh, the boards are not done yet ;)
Show to the people positiv to see and negativ to see
Unimportant issues YOU show NOT PROPER- NO BIDY CAN SEE. But most important issues showings vary fast is plus or minus.
I might try to find some power tool battery and just create a custom connector (or find one that people have made).
I'd kinda prefer to avoid exploding batteries.
Sure it'll cut out a chunk of the diy fun and the formfactor, but I could probably live with it.
Are you planning on building 10S version too?
10S is too weak
@@Fungineers I have few electric skateboards and they use 10S. I'd like to use this kind of PCB for them too. :)
I thought the same thing as Mikko re 10S... 10S2P stacked as 10S4P would have lots of uses... more std voltage.
How can I contact you? I am about to buy your products from the funginners website through the Aeropost service because the option to send to my country (Chile) does not appear.
My question is... how can I get the stl files to print considering that my name will not appear on the order / invoice.?
Hi, would there be any already built battery packs for this? because for me that would be the easiest.
and probably the safest too
Can you provide a link?
Link to what?
Are the Gerber files available?
Still a work in progress.
@@Fungineers I guess I'll have to subscribe and stay tuned. :)
You didn't show to the people importent connections to see. Some people can got killed.
They shouldn't allow you to show to the people dangerous fast moves-no body can see what are you doing.
