You skipped all the other wires after the power hook up. Kinda disappointing. I was watching the video for just that.

It's certainly a big improvement over the old battery. But it can be made even safer. I made a battery pack with a central bus and connected the cells with a fuse wire. Each cell that has its own fuse. If one cell short-circuits, the fuse wire is immediately blown and the faulty cell is disconnected.

Kinda sucks feel like I got bamboozled into buying up your old stock while you were advertising something way closer to this

When you measure the series connection with a multimeter on the BMS side of things, this is NOT the spot you should do the measurement (at around 3:10), because the solder points are withiut any seperation... if your hand slips, then you will short 2 series connections... Some good points: Fishpaper between cells. Basically the safest method... What is truly needed: Basically when one cells touches the other and there are external vibrations, there will be friction. That friction in the long term will result in gradually ripping the plastic wrap of the cells and ultimately making contact. If there is heat glue and the temperature of the pack doesn't rise tot he point of the glue getting very soft, then there is basically no movement during vibration and the pack is safe for me... Especially if the cells lay on their top/bottom and you don't haver cells weighing on other cells... I personally use kapton tape between the cells and that's all... I find it kind of difficult even for the battery wrap to be ripped in any real extend of time... I add some kapton tape and hope for the best... Adding fish paper on large packs is time consuming and makes the pack considerably larger... I have built 2-3 huge packs with 160 cells each. I add some dumpening material around the battery and the vibrations are reduced considerably. I still believe that simply putting hot glue might be as safe if not safer than kapton...
