    I saw a design someone made, it was a 3D casted "holder" you just slide the batteries into it from the side, and there are raised tabs. You just load it shotgun style, and then put the cap on the end to hold them all in, and the cap has some metal on it too. But it was awesome. Sturdy design, each set of batteries was compartmentalized, and if any cells started going bad, you can just pop out the bad ones and shove new ones in..

    Great work guys, loving the videos

    I love it.. thanks for the quality videos, I am over winter acquiring materials and building my own vesc. Something to note for future videos or people reading here. Both chi and jw will make a custom battery that you can order if you're not keen on making your own :)

    what gauge wire is connecting the series?

    can you show a diagram where the thread brass inserts go in the battery/vesc boxes.

    my 84V V11 battery has two small wires coming out of it (black and red) but there is no voltage on them. are they balance wires? it must just be 20 batteries in series? I'm trying to charge these batteries out of the wheel and not using the control board, do they have to be balanced or can I just connect the output connector to the inmotion 84V charger?

    Great video! But the step by step tutorial url doesn’t work, is that right?

    I guess the BMS will be put up front with the controller.

      In the battery box. Safer and less wires running around

    I purchased thunder rails and have not gotten those files yet. I already contacted customer support over a week ago and did not receive a reply. I am kind of waiting for the files to build my battery and finish my vesc so I am not sure what else to do.

    Hi, if there's continuity on the LED pad after a crash, does that mean the voltage regulator is no longer working properly?

    • @MrDmadness
      @MrDmadness Před rokem

      It means you've fried your multi tester for sure. You cant test continuity if voltage is present unless your using an oscilloscope. Test the wires for voltage differentialbteen 1 and g, and then l2 and g, if you've got voltage potential then it's hold be fine, if you want to know what's flowing separate a single wire and amp camp it.. you can figure out the expected resistance then or the voltage
      The formula is
      Volts over amps x ohms
      Any 2 will make the third calculatablle
      A x ohms = v
      V divided by amps = ohms
      Etc.
      Hope this helps

      @@MrDmadness But the FC doesn't need voltage input to test continutity with a multimeter. Or am I missing something?

    • @MrDmadness
      @MrDmadness Před rokem

      @Adeyinka Brasil the multi tester applies its own voltage from the battery, so very very low voltage.. testing ohms on a live circuot kills the meter

    Super excited for the battery pack with smart bms! I was actually just about to start designing one because there are no options left. I need a smart bms that is charge and discharge because I have a quick swappable 20s2p battery system on my Onewheel and because of that I want only two wires coming out of the battery pack so that I can use XT90-S to do a quick swap. I'm probably going to be your perfect customer as I need many packs! czcams.com/users/shorts_NAIwVmGpy0?feature=share

      Already designed waterproofed quick swapping for Thunder Rails as well, will be 3d printing test version today.
