Star Citizen is an in-development multiplayer, space trading and combat simulation game. The game is being developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Microsoft Windows. An extended retry of unrealized plans for Freelancer, Star Citizen is being led by director Chris Roberts. The game was announced via a private crowdfunding page in September 2012, and was later joined on October 18, 2012 by a successful Kickstarter campaign which drew in over US$2 million. Pre-production of the game began in 2010, with production starting in 2011.
Star Citizen has become highly criticized during its long production process, both for the fact that there is still no clear release date and for the challenges backers who have abandoned the project have faced in receiving a refund. The launch of the game was originally anticipated for 2014, but was repeatedly delayed. In 2013, Cloud Imperium Games began releasing parts of the game, known as "modules", to provide players with the opportunity to experience gameplay features prior to release. The latest of these modules, known as the "Persistent Universe", was made available for testing to pre-purchasers in 2015 and continues to receive updates. After more than a decade in development, no projected date for the commercial release of Star Citizen is currently given.
After the initial Kickstarter ended, Cloud Imperium Games continued to raise funds through the sale of ships and other in-game content, and is now noted for being the highest-funded crowdfunded video game and one of the highest-funded crowdfunding projects overall, having raised over US$500 million as of September 2022. Such methods of generating crowdfunded revenue have however led to criticisms and legal issues surrounding the project. In addition to crowdfunding, marketing is now also funded through external investment, having received US$63.25 million as of March 2020.
Squadron 42, a single-player game set in the same universe, was initially announced in the Kickstarter as an included campaign in Star Citizen, but is now intended to be a standalone product.

What about like surfing? Like flying low but moving with the terrain gliding along the side of mountains ,up and over them staying as close to the terrain as possible while letting the terrain dictate your movements, love to do that on daymar
Thats just some next level shit my brother XD
I like to differ into 2 categories:
1) the more redbull, showlike, 3d flying kind of what you do mostly.
2) the more tactical military low flying where the target is to get close to the objective fast which is more the second that you showed. Close to the ground but mostly straight towards somewhere. I guess depens if you do it to have fun, or if you trying to get to a place to drop off people, a bomb, other payloads or engage a target on the ground in generall.
Great video, keep going have fun and fly safe!

Love the relaxed low flying in the beginning, like it's nothing. That's insane...
haha lowflying is such a vibe, thanks for the feed back
shit ive been hardflying this whole time calling it lowflying lmfao great video dude!
haha i love that part thanks brother
Thanks for the great tutorial. What you call low flying is what is called nap-of-the-earth by real pilots. Which is to follow the contours of the terrain in order to avoid detection.
Thanks to you, I now am gonna buy the 350R I've been eyeing up and get practicing.
Nap of the earth is legit I like it, ha gotta use it in my next tittle
Thank you for this i've been wanting to practice forever but never know where to start
sooo sick Sc is getting really good so its a good time to start
Best clear explanation I have seen yet, great video.
Awehh thanks so much!!!
While it's a matter of personal preference, I usually recommend people fly in coupled mode at low altitude when practicing. You don't have to constantly fight the prograde marker drifting downward. If coupled mode doesn't seem exciting enough, fly faster.
A couple of other ships that work well for this are the Pisces which is quite compact and agile and a Merlin or Archemedes. Snubs can fly extremely fast at low altitude.
What a legend
Never took the time to learn so this is a good start. Thanks!
Time is such a hindrance wish it wasnt a thing! lol Im glad i could help!
Drop a playlist we can vibe to when we wanna fly like you
haha bet ill get one going
I will try this next time I get to play. Subscribed!
Dammit coast. You beat me to it.
Haha I just did this for fun man. I bet you'll make a hella good one too!
Hey, nice video.
For 3.19. I decided to come back to star citizen. Haven't played it for a while. After your video im really interested in low flying. It simply looks so awesome.
I noticed that you use TrackIR with the pro Clip. I Only use it with the reflectors.
Is the pro Clip worth the extra 40 bucks?
Yeah i really enjoy it, makes everything feel seamless
I bought the Track Clip Pro with my TrackIR way back and don't really use it any more. An extra cord to get tangled, the lights catching on stuff when I put my headset down. I just keep a hat with the reflector clip on my computer case and find it a lot easier to use and the tracking seems to work just as well. In a really bright room or if you face a window and get a lot of stray IR, it might work better with the LED's than the reflector, but that's not my situation and I don't find the results worth the extra bother.
I have been using Track IR for about 20 Years, yes not a Typo. I have tried both Pro Clip and hat with reflectives. I only use Pro clip if I wear headphones or play DCS where you need to look under a gunsight etc. that’s the only difference. I actually prefer just flying with a cap on .
Supper helpful, thanks!
I got you
How do you fly so properly. How did u stop so quickly, I use air brake (x) landing gear and scroll wheel down but it never stops me that fast
I haven’t tried the new flight model but I imagine is close to the same, You have to cancel your momentum so if you’re flying forward. Turn around and go forward. In the video you see me turn side ways and I just strafe in the direction I’m coming from.
Just a pro tip, you should move your sticks farther apart they are too close to you. XD
trueee i havent thought of that XD
Great vid, worth a sub! I just picked up some dual VKB's and now trying to learn how to fly HOSAS. Are there any tips you could give me? Maybe a video Idea? I also use Voice attack for most of the annoying key binds.
I found if I unbind everything from the sticks and spend time in arena commander free flight solo, It’s much easier to get everything perfect! Also with voice attack there is options in game to add camera angles I like to set them up and have voice attack recognize cam 1, cam 2 etc
Do I need a joystick to be able to do this? I only gave a keyboard and mouse and a controller
No it just makes it like 20% Easier, I wish I practiced with mouse and keyboard to be honest
❤❤❤❤❤
Deffo gonna try this now. Have a sub!
Aweh thanks brother! Cheers
Do you have any advise for someone playing with mouse and keyboard? Well except for buying extra equipment.
Mouse and Keybaord is soooo good theres a few buckets that use a keyboard, only thing ur missing is immersion. I used keyboard for awhile. Best advice dont listen to the crowed its 100% good
shame this probably wont be a thing when master modes comes in, or at least not in the same way
I’ll have a reason to make a new one!
❤❤❤❤
My brother!
This is a really helpful guide, Until now I've always fly with no speed limit ... how can I change the “CPLD”
Couple/Decouple is toggled using "V" - i recommend flying decoupled always, it will take some time to get useto but its better for low fly and combat - You can go to game settings and select Couple mode always one "No" but no need to rush into it! - Good luck!
@@Coastin Oh, thanks! I'm gonna set up a dedicated button on my HOSAS for this. Keeping the velocity indicator on is pure gold, not just for low altitude maneuvers but for pretty much everything in the Verse o7
Yeahhh its really good for pvp
