      Where I used to live a Russian guy had Murcielago SV, it sounded like a screaming flock of banshees and looked like the devil's own chariot, what more do you want in a super car?

  • @ImLeuff
    @ImLeuff Před 9 lety +99

    Brilliant looking car. Looking forward to the full review.
    One thing I'm a bit worried about is SV coming out early in Aventadors production life. Murcielagos SV version came at the end as a last hoorah making it that much more special. Idk, maybe Lambo is trying to push out as many magnificent mental cars as they can before the ever growing regulations make it impossible. That seems like something Lamborghini would do.

    • @nathaneastmure
      @nathaneastmure Před 9 lety +6

      ***** Perhaps they're making an even more hardcore track focused version? Or the aventador's successor might be coming sooner than we thought.

    • @Fugedibobo
      @Fugedibobo Před 9 lety +14

      Maybe because they made the Huracan so good that it's actually quite close to the Aventador now, they're already working on the successor of the Aventador.

    • @HoveringAboveMyself
      @HoveringAboveMyself Před 9 lety +7

      nathaneastmure Remember that Larborghini keeps their cars for 10 years and there is a significant mid-cycle refresh, with the Murcielago there was no SV version for the first iteration only for the LP640 refresh, it's more likely that now they will release an SV version for the Aventador gen 1 as well as for the Aventador gen 2.

      +HoveringAboveMyself that is extremely possible. because the aventador was such a success, probably they have neared the number of cars they originally wanted to produce. ( 4099 cars)

    Looks like the best car to change gears in. The way it pushes you in the seat on each change, and the big dials on the screen, makes each gear change a pleasure.

      resellworld I dont really get it(forgive me for my lack of knowledge). But how does the single clutch make it kick so hard as compared to the doubke clutch

    • @resellworld
      @resellworld Před 9 lety +16

      Akilesh Menezes I'm no expert, but I think it's because the shifts happen a lot faster. Imagine riding in a Manual/Stick Shift car in the passenger seat. If someone is going fast, and then they press the clutch to change gears, the car will temporarily stop accelerating until they change gears and press the accelerator......which makes you lean forward/jerk depending on how fast you're going.
      The single clutch is faster than a Manual/Stick....so if you're in something like a Lambo you'll feel it more, especially since it has so much power to throw you back into the seat.
      The Double Clutch already has the next gear engaged so the shift will happen so fast you'll barely notice the car changing gears.
      Sorry for the long post, I just couldn't help myself :)

      @Kaisuke971 Před 9 lety +10

    • @Romashka8706
      @Romashka8706 Před 9 lety +2

      Kaisuke971 its sounds shitty as +wuchengranschiiet said, probably you never heard Aventador with Capristo or iPE exhaust fitted.

    • @darios9797
      @darios9797 Před 9 lety +1

      Kaisuke971 the huayra is silent because it has 2 turbochargers, not because of its exhaust system.

    • @Kaisuke971
      @Kaisuke971 Před 9 lety +1

      George Washingturnt Is the One:1 silent ? IS the P1 silent ? Is the M600 Silent ? Is the 488 GTB silent ? Is the E63S silent ? IS the M5 30 Jähre silent ? Is the M3 F80 silent ?
      Do you even know why it's called "Huayra" ? The car's exhaust is designed to let huge turbo noises and deep exhaust note (which is the absolute contrary of the Zonfa). They did it on purpose.
      From the inside you have deep V12 sound and turbo whistle. From the outside it doesn't sound (or jus a bit, again the deep V12 note), but the problem is that it's not musical. The Aventador, however, is a sweet piece of Opéra.

    • @darios9797
      @darios9797 Před 9 lety

      Kaisuke971 so... what is your point exactly? yes i heard the interviews they did to Mr. Pagani about what he wanted the huayra to sound like, but the engine's exhaust note of Huayra has been indeed muffled by the turbos a lot, there is no discussion about that.
      Turbos make cars quieter, and sure those cars you named are loud but they would be even louder if they didn't have a turbocharger.
      Its not like you can just swap exhausts and make a huayra sound like a naturally aspirated v12 or vice versa (it sounds like you are saying that on your first comment).

    Gear change looks so jerky.

    • @Fugedibobo
      @Fugedibobo Před 9 lety +26

      ahpadt It's because the car is in Corsa mode and it's intentionally programmed to kick you in the back every time it changes gears. It's better in Strada mode but it's still a single clutch gearbox, so it's never gonna be as smooth as a PDK for example.

    • @xmenlingcheehuat0811
      @xmenlingcheehuat0811 Před 9 lety +44

      ahpadt That is the most emotional gear change among the supercar which will strain your neck. An Aventador should be like that.

    • @skywalk3x
      @skywalk3x Před 9 lety +2

      +ahpadt Actually the gear change is meant to be like this it only does it in Corsa mode which is race mode. Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann Says the gear change is an emotional part of the car and wants the driver to know he's in a Lambo....this was introduced in the Murcielago. So yeeeeaaah its supposed to be that way

    Another car, once again italians do it better.
    Italian cars are the best for petrolheads: Heritage, Passion, Sound, Smell, Technology, Madness...
    Ferrari and Lamborghini are two of the most famous and desired car brands out there and there's a reason: they build their cars all by hand, every man that builds a car, gives something to the car, something like a soul, his soul.
    That's a thing that you see, when watching one; just like Aston Martin and Rolls Royce.

    • @AndrewLewer90
      @AndrewLewer90 Před 9 lety +8

      ***** So what? To achive this big dreams you need money.
      Audi, and Chrysler and Indians before, only gave the money, in excange, obviously, for some % in revenue.
      But from the birth of a new car, through the sketches, first models, portorype and final product, the car it's 100% Italian.
      And so is the brand.

Lets look back, the SV might be an ending for the Murcielago (released in 2001-SV 2009) but for the other two, the Miura and Diablo, they came out around 5 years into its life and cars were still made after the SV models.

    To be fair, Lambo _is_ about to bring out a crossover, which is pretty much pandering. But it's nice they still have more than 8 cylinders in their supercars.

    So the SV version is coming out earlier than the Murcielago did. Maybe they are going to follow the Diablo line up. Aventador GT and Aventador Jota maybe to come?

    So are we getting a new V12 Lambo next year? Seems kind of early for an Aventador SV. Aesthetically I prefer the Murci SV. Not feeling the front bumper here at all.

    The only flaw i can find in this car is the exhaust tips, each one looks like it comes from a rusty old beaten up car. They sure as hell don't sound like it, but unfortunately, they look it. Apart from that this car is perfect!!!!!

  • @adam1othman

    lamborghini made the aventador a true lambo with the sv, a lambo is a sledge hammer because there all about the engine and the performance of the engine... when audi reversed the companies philosophy from top speed, acceleration, and handling they really robbed the soul of the brand... that being said having unlimited amounts of power is no excuse for shitty handling, and the lambos have always handled well anyways. but with the aventador sv they're putting the soul back into the brand because thats the lamborghini way of doing things the engine output and performance is the most important piece of the car and everything else is built around it. the madness is back and i love it

    there are two lines in the lamborghini family, the gallardos and the murcielagos. the gallardos were succeeded by the huracans and the murcielagos by the aventador. the next lambo after this will be along the gallardo route.

    That's the Circuit de Catalyna in Spain. He definitely wasnt doing the best at selecting the right gear for the corners. Through one of the hairpins he was in 3rd and should've kept it in 2nd, and through a couple of the S-Turns he was in 2nd and should've been in 3rd but great vid nonetheless!!

    I'm really not a fan of this two tone thing that both this and the Speciale have going on. I recon it makes them look cheaper, if it even applies. More like a 'base model', with unpainted bits.

    Speaking of NURBURGRING lap times the 740hp Naturally Aspirated Lamborghini Aventador SV lapped the Nurburghring in 6:59 which smashes all the 911s times and is only 2 seconds slower than the 887hp Porsche 918 W package. THAT IS IMPRESSIVE MY FRIEND. And I love Porsche but give the AVentador SV 887hp and it would beat the 918 around the ring (13 mile track), The P1 around the ring and the LaFerrari around the ring..
