Man this is the best video i found thank you brother
Thanks that means a lot. Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Great shots quick and to the point
Thank you I tried to get good angles. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the doorman adapter tip. Adding oil at an angle is annoying.
Glad I could help. It really is! Thanks for watching!
Whats your reasoning to setting it at 90% and not 100%? Only asking in hopes of learning something. Thanks
Also, will the truck let you know / keep up with / % get lower as the oil is getting old? Thanks again
Ya I always love to help. My reasoning is if I set it to 90% I will always be changing it a little bit earlier than needed. This should keep the internals in good shape. I would rather change oil earlier rather than later. Also yes, it keeps up with mileage and time. These trucks even factor in other factors that lead to oil breaking down sooner and the percentage will go down accordingly. which I thinks cool. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask anything else. Thanks for watching!
Great vids, thanks for the detailed information!! Do you have a link to the tool you used to remove the filter?
Hey thank you so much! Here’s the link to oil filter pliers: WORKPRO 12" Adjustable Oil Filter Pliers, Wrench Adjustable Oil Filter Removal Tool, Ideal For Engine Filters, Conduit, & Fittings, W114083A a.co/d/2RGjAap
Thanks for watching!
Great video but quick question, do all trucks or larger vehicles take this much oil typically?
Yes bigger engines tend to take more oil. F250 same year takes about 14 quarts. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Do you know the oil capacity if you don’t change the oil filter?
Not off hand. But I highly recommend changing your filter with your oil. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie Thanks! I just got a 2012 5.0 with 126k miles and I want to run a few 1000 mile oil changes through it to really clean the engine out. Will probably use LiquiMoly Engine Flush after I’ve done that a couple times too so that’s why I was curious about not changing the filter out. I got a Mobile 1 20k mile filter so figured I could just keep that filter in when I’m dropping the oil every 1k miles but I may just change it anyways. Thanks!
Ohhhhh ok I get you.
