I don’t think Carry That Weight is that repetitive. You can hear the melody of “You Never Give Me Your Money” in that song which I think makes it a pretty cool song, and the transition from “Carry That Weight” to “The End” is also really good.

I'm glad you didn't pick Octopus' Garden, that song gets way too much hate, it's easily Ringo's best work, and it being very child friendly does not take away from the fact that it is very well written and fun. Beatles devotee here: I have to say that this was a pretty good selection for the best and worst songs from each album though mine do differ from yours a bit:
Please Please Me: I can get behind your picks for this one. Only other songs I would say my best would be are Do You Wanna Know A Secret, A Taste Of Honey, and Chains (super underrated cover).
With The Beatles: Pretty good picks but I gotta listen to that album again. For best I would’ve went with All My Loving. Not sure about worst yet.
Hard Days Night: I would’ve went with And I Love Her for best again not sure about the worst.
Beatles For Sale: Controversial pic but I would’ve went with Kansas City Hey Hey Hey Hey for best. I love the riff, melody, and overall chaos of the song which I will admit can be a problem at times in other Beatle songs but I think it works on this one. For worst, I could probably get behind your pick for worst.
Help: Can’t go wrong with the title track. For me, I would have went with either Yesterday, It’s Only Love (another underrated one), or You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away. For worst, I could get behind your pick.
Rubber Soul: I’m with you for best on this one. Although I will say Nowhere Man has some of the best vocal harmonies that the Beatles ever did and Norwegian Wood is also amazing too. I can also get behind your pick for worst on this one but I agree that it is still a great song. So I mostly agree with you on this one.
Revolver: I completely agree with you on the album as a whole. Absolute masterpiece of an album. I can definitely get behind your best pick. For No One is way too underrated. It’s hard for me to pick a best on this one because almost all of the songs are unbelievable in how amazing they are. Songs that jump out to me are Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, I’m Only Sleeping, She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, and Tomorrow Never Knows (which I probably would’ve went with). I could get behind your worst pick and your thoughts behind it though but like you said still a masterpiece.
Sgt Pepper: 100% agree with you on your best pick. To me, A Day In The Life is the greatest song ever written. I can see why your worst pick is the reprise, I will say it does have a purpose in that it closes out the album since it’s presented as a concept album before the encore being A Day In The Life. For worst, I would have went with Within You and Without You which is still a great song but not as good as the rest of the album. Again, another unbelievable Beatles masterpiece.
    Magical Mystery Tour:
Your pick for best would’ve been my #2 pick behind Penny Lane (another crazy underrated song). For worst, I would’ve went with Blue Jay Way.
The White Album: My biggest agreement with you. I am 100% on board with your pick for Best and Worst.
Yellow Submarine: I can get behind you pick for best. I forgot how good of a song Hey Bulldog Was. However I disagree with your worst pick. I am actually a fan of Yellow Submarine. For worst, I would have went with anything from the back half of the album.
Abbey Road: This is my favorite Beatles album as well as favorite album period. I love every single song on this one. So I can’t do a best and worst for this album. I just love every song on this album so much. An absolute masterpiece of music.
Let It Be: I was pleasantly surprised with your best pick. Across The Universe deserves a lot more love then what it gets. So I could get behind that pick. Only other song I would’ve went with for best is The Long and Winding Road. That being said, I agree with your worst pick. Part of me wishes Maggie Mae was longer and more thought out cause the song definitely has potential.
So overall, great video and great picks.

But it is not schmaltz, by any reasonable standards. It is a classic gospel ballad, perfect in the use of the I-V-VI-IV structure, with great vocals and harmonies, elegant use of piano and organ, and an inspired guitar solo. No violins, harps or saccarine, just a damn good melody. It is technically perfect.

In my opinion, Across The Universe is so much better than Let It Be. The melody is fantastic. The lyrics are earth-shatteringly beautiful. John's voice is so pretty on it (specifically on the Naked version). Let It Be is a work of sheer beauty but I don't think it comes close.

@@kristermabs1548 Across the universe is a great song, I agree. The lyrics, above all, are superb, one of John's best ever. The melody is also good, although a bit repetitive. I just wouldn't rank it above Let it be or even Get back because the arrangement never quite managed to get from the song all it had to offer. There are at least two famous versions of the song (the movie's and the one release in a charity LP) and none of them would rank as accomplished recordings.

Another thing about Dizzy Miss Lizzy, a CZcamsr who was talking about his least favorite Beatles song, made a good point about it being the last song on the album, especially since it comes after Yesterday.
He basically said that you hear Yesterday, and it’s so beautiful, with melancholic lyrics, minimalistic instrumentals that make the song feel so heartfelt and emotional.
Annnd then Dizzy Miss Lizzy plays, and it kinda spoils the mood. Its not a bad song, but ya do kinda get tonal whiplash going from Yesterday to Dizzy Miss Lizzy.

With a tad bit of darker elements/ being more real. Paul was rock n roll Elvis type but also the romantic and sad one. George was much more spiritual and optimistic with some compassionate and romantic songs as well. And idk ringo, still never figured him out lol

Mostly mild disagreements. Where I strongly disagree are as follows:
1)Dr Robert being the worst track on Revolver when clearly the worst song is the banal Good Day Sunshine.
    2) The reprise on Pepper is necessary to maintain the illusion of a concept album. Also it's a little funkier than the first track.
    3) The best on Abby Road....obviously...is Here Comes The Sun.
    4) Help is a great song....but Ticket to Ride is the best track on Help.

@@grahamreece519 No, my opinion is that their opinion is wrong. And I certainly wouldn't call A Day in the Life a 'soft' song with the orchestral build up and ending. Certainly, not a conventional rock and roll song I would agree. But lyrically and musically a tour de force and performed expertly by both the band and the orchestra.
As for the softer comment, the list should be called 'favourite songs' as opposed to best songs since I don't think there is a single critic who would agree that I'll Follow the Sun is the "best" song on Beatles For Sale. Or that A Hard Day's Night, And I Love Her or Can't Buy Me Love aren't the "best" song on A Hard Day's Night.
I'm sure you take my meaning. But if you want we could certainly go through album by album, song by song, and discuss which other songs are objectively better, more culturally impactful, more important to recording techniques and/or commercially successful. As a staunch Beatles fan I obviously enjoy those conversations.
But, I think, if you reread my original comment all that is meant is that I agree with two of twenty-six choices. And then, add the modifier that they seem to enjoy the softer songs on the records as the reason. Which would explain why we only agreed on two tracks. There is no condemnation there, despite what you may have read into the text.

@@NasonJPR "Best" implies subjectivity, as there is no objective definition to the best and worst music. You shouldn't go into a video titled "Best and Worst song" with the idea that it is objective, or aligns with the opinions of critics; this is the definition of an opinion piece. It was never supposed to be about critical opinion; the video maker never claimed as such. And opinions on music taste being 'wrong' is a self-centered belief that shows your thought process being that you think your opinion is 'correct' rather than the actuality being that different people have different reasons to enjoy different things, and there is no 'correct' belief.
Also I didn't accuse you of 'condemning' them, I very clearly used the word criticism. Those are two completely different things.

Overall pretty good tier. Some personal changes:
    -Best in Rubber Soul: Girl
-Worst in Sgt Pepper's: She's leaving home
-Best in white album: Happiness is a warm gun
    -Worst in white album: Piggies

Not a bad list. That would be my thoughts
    PLEASE PLEASE ME
Best: Twist and Shout (John's vocals are outta this world)
Worst: A Taste Of Honey(nuthin but a bad boring ballad)
    WITH THE BEATLES
Best: Hold Me Tight (John's lead and the harmonies are everything)
Worst: Please Mr Postman (also only boring)
    A HARD DAY'S NIGHT
Best: Tell Me Why(insanely underrated number with an amusing 3 part harmony and awesome guitars)
Worst: And I Love Her (boring vocals and just EVERYTHING, never understood why everyone loves it so)
    BEATLES FOR SALE
Best: Baby's In Black (just one of the greatest ballads ever written with a terrific solo. Shea Stadium version just brought me to tears)
Worst: Mr Moonlight (awful vocals and organ)
    HELP
Best: Dizzy Miss Lizzy (great vocals and lead guitar)
Worst: Help(never liked it, neither vocals, nor harmonies, though it has a few good fills and riffs)
    RUBBER SOUL
Best: In My Life (this song has really absolutely nothing i don't like)
Worst: The Word (it's terrible sung and the piano sounds awful as hell)
    REVOLVER
Best: For No One (great acoustic guitar and vocal, just a timeless gem)
Worst: Eleanor Rigby (boring vocals and everything)
    SGT PEPPER
Best: Getting Better(great tanpura solo, lead guitar and vocals)
Worst: Within You Without You(too indian style)
    MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR
Best: I Am The Walrus (just the best one from this LP, but got no idea for which reasons)
Worst: Blue Jay Way (unimaginative boring shit that's horrible sung and played)
    WHITE ALBUM
Best: Blackbird (an acoustic masterpiece with gorgeous lyrics and vocals)
Worst: Revolution 9 (i don't think i have to call reasons)
    ABBEY ROAD
Best: Oh Darling (terrific vocals, guitar and piano, another one of these songs that has NOTHING you could dislike)
Worst: Her Majesty (though it's a funny one it's still my least favorite from this LP, even before Because
    YELLOW SUBMARINE
Best: Yellow Submarine (just by far the best tune on one of their worst albums)
Worst: The whole B-Side (just terrible)
    LET IT BE
Best: I've Got A Feeling (terrific lead guitar and an outstanding rock vocal by Paul)
Worst: Let It Be is actually TOO GOOD for worst ones, even though The Long And Winding Road is a little boring

I would’ve put Baby You’re A Rich Man as the worst song on Magical Mystery Tour; I absolutely adore Flying, it’s such an interesting change of pace for The Beatles. Also, Pepper Reprise and Carry That Weight might not stand alone as well as the others, but they’re both absolutely essential to the flow of their respective albums, in my opinion. Great video! Oh, and MY personal pick for the all time worst Beatles song is Matchbox. What is up with that awful phrasing?

Opinions are opinions, but I strongly disagree with Sgt Pepper Reprise being unneeded. It not only connects Good Morning and Day in the Life well, but Ringo's beat at the beginning it's one of the most unique things of the album (and from the whole discog). Beastie Boys song Sounds of Science wouldn't be the same if they didnt sample Ringo's beat from it 💙 Anyway nice vídeo!

I disagree with the Sgt. Pepper's "worse." simply because that album is supposed to echo that of a concert. And that's like them saying goodbye to the audience. Idk.
