The glovebox auto-open is actually a feature. For when you need tissues or a rag to wipe off the sweat and other bodily fluids.
😂
other fluid you say 😭🤨
Or for getting your insurance and proof of ownership out for the cops nice and quick!
This comment deserved to be pinned. Just sayin'.
To wipe all the white stuff away when you drive this car
I was the owner of that car until October last year and I had it registered as M123 WRC here in the UK. I see that some mods have been made to it since I let her go. Do you realise that it was one of the last integrales to roll off the production line and it was a special order colour. You’re not going to come across another Nero metalic black Evo2. I drove about 500 miles per year and it was kept in a bubble. I looked after her; please do the same.
BTW, in case you’re wondering, M signified the year of the car in the uk (it was a UK-bound car from factory) and WRC is self explanatory. However, the Integrale looks best without a front plate, especially as it blocks vital cooling vents
I think we’ve spoken at some point about it being a one off black Evo 2 as I stated that above. Absolutely lovely car mate.
Thank you for this explanation sir, I've always lusted after the Integrale and read everything i could get about them in many years but i was unaware of the fact a Evo 2 in Nero Metallizzato ever existed from factory. It's absolutely fantastic, and it being stock (altough i understand it has some mods now?) makes it even more special, i do truly believe there should be more appreciation for the "bone stock" Integrale out there.
@@davidemasotta6242 when it left my hands only the front discs and the stainless exhaust were not as original. I acquired certification from FCA Heritage (Centro Storico) that the colour was indeed correct for this car. For a car such as this, originality adds value. Untouched evo2 parcel shelves are like hen’s teeth!
500 A YEAR SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT. CATCH AND RELEASE.
That headlight adjustment is required on all cars in Europe, you adjust the headlights according to your load so you don't blind traffic with headlights pointing up.
As a europen it's weird that I never really thought of this, hope I haven't accidentally blinded someone. In my old car I saw that switch and thought: "Neat". Then I totally forgot about it. My current car does it automatically I believe.
my dad used to do the same,
When hauling a lot in the back or when pulling a heavier trailer he would always let the headlights aim lower.
it's one of those things i grew to to always check just in case
Yes, I was a bit surprised Tedward pointed that out as an interesting feature as a European. I have only had two cars so far that didn't have it, one was a Suzuki Swift from 1994 which had literally zero options, the other a Ford Escort from 1988 with also literally zero options.
How often do you actually load your car to the point where blinding people is a concern? Unless you drive with your high beams on all the time...
@@hugolafhugolaf if you have passengers in rear seats?
In Italy we call it the "Deltone" which is a way to say "grande delta(big delta)", can't really translate it properly but that's how everyone calls it
Δελτονα
I remember seeing the Delta Integrale for the first time in NFS MW 2012 when I was younger and wondering why they included this ancient beater looking hatchback in the game. A few years later once I was older and wiser on the history of the car I of course had to go back in and give this car the proper attention that it deserved.
Now that I think about it that also provides some insight on how non-car people probably look at these older cars that only us car guys really go crazy over 😅
100% great point! I’m so glad my wife is a car “guy”, because my life would a little less if she weren’t!
Same story here!! I questioned why they added this car in NFS MW 2012 until I drove it. I loved throwing it around dirt races and the way it felt made it seem like a super dependable beater. I remember I would always run from the cops in it and feel like a badass because It was so rewarding losing them in a hot hatch rally monster
this is literally me when I was 8 and I even wanted my parents to get one before I realized it wasn't sold in America
had that exact scenario the other day pointing out a 190e 2.5 non amg to someone
7:14 That gauge cluster is like a freakin' fighter jet! love it!
Damn, that's a beauty, I'm very jealous, lol. Glad you could finally drive one!
Not only a great car, not only a beautiful car... This is a Lancia, and it represents how good this brand was.
No better combo than eating lunch and watching tedward drive a lancia
The glove box was just trying to say, 'Ciao!' :)
Lancia Delta Integrale, Audi Quattro Sport & BMW (E30) M3 = automotive culture. I love it. For me, these are dream cars. Thank you very much for the beautiful report, which impressively conveys the driving experience.
No way 💀💀💀 r u 12?
The Integrale is a BIG LEGEND. The following over here is crazy!!! And I have to agree that hype in this case is SO justified. This is a car that is viciously amazing to drive, and devilishly intoxicating.
Oooooh yeeeeeah...!
I'm agree...!
I literally had a thought, "Why has Tedward never done the video on Lancia Delta?" and there it is! Now I'm one happy subscriber
I saw one in my hometown a couple of months ago in a beautiful white tone
This is my favorite lancia of all time, love all the classics you review that most people will never drive
that adrenaline boost seeing a new video from Tedward...
That was hilarious when the glovebox flew open as he was praising the car and talking about how it's got more to give. That was the most Italian thing I've ever seen
She's not just a fast car... She is a LANCIA 🥰
That has got to be one of the all-time great gauge clusters. The orange on black graphics/font, the cross-hair like lines through the gauges, all the little circles for the warning lights...
When the Italians put their mind to design they can do great things. You could probably write a coffee-table book just on great Italian gauge clusters.
I love 80’s and 90’s cars, and this is now one of them. Thank you for bringing a masterpiece into the light
I love the styling of 80's Italian cars. Giugaro, Pininfarina, they had it going on. Fiat Panda, anyone? Of course, it wouldn't drive like this Integrale
Hhmm…, the Alfa Romeo 75, or Milano for US market.
Panda 4x4 is offroader like a mountain goat ))) same 4x4 system as Merc GL
I love 80s design overall, so boxy and just makes you feel warm and fuzzy :D
Pandas are adorable, I saw that Doug guy's CZcams video on it.
One of my all time favorite cars ever made. Such a cool classic.
Italian here. I've driven one, it is not so fast compared to contemporary cars but very funny and simply a legend in terms of heritage. 20 years ago a pre owned one was also cheap to purchase, today is extremely rare and expensive. It can hit 120-130 k on the market, not for everybody :)
Edit: In late '70s, the Delta project was made starting from the "Fiat Ritmo" chassis, a popular middle-priced hot hatch of that times. So, its handling is really noticeble since you are driving a project who is almost 50 years old!
Fun, not funny. Quite different.
@@humandroid53 would like to see you speak italian... it would probably be funny...
@@humandroid53 che parlas tu
@@eduardopereira5245 it would! 😅
I bought my evo2 in 2003 for £9700! A bargain in hindsight, I still own it.
Wow, this is probably the coolest car so far on the channel! IDK, I just love it's vintage looks and how it's crazy fast for a vintage car. The steering wheel is just... wow. The way the upper wheel seem lines up with the lane lines in the corners like it was a game or something...
As Italian, I’m simply proud of this car, The Delta for us is one of most special cars of ever
Can't wait for the day we get the S4 on the channel :)
This was my favorite car in Test Drive Unlimited 2 when i was like 8 lol
Same I loved it so much
by far one of the coolest cars you've ever driven on the channel
Oh man I’m excited for this one
in Italy this car is sacred for car lovers🇮🇹🤤🚀
Word of the day from the Tedster: “deleterious”.
Can’t let that SAT vocab go to waste 😂
The moment when 220 hp isn’t enough you know this gem is in a wrong country
God, now I wish S4 Stradale's weren't so rare so Ted could make a video with one...
Now you need to find one of those group b beasts, the S4, and drive!
Man i think tedward can read minds! I replied to a comment on his Citroën video about wanting to see a lancia delta intergrale and tedward delivers 🙌 thanks for the great video as alwayd
Wait I might like Tedward's reviews better than Doug Demuro's. Has the first-peron perspective that's great about Regular Car Review test drives but for the whole damn thing, while covering just as many quirks and features as Fr. Douglas.
I agree I reckon Doug just yaps too much, and drives too little
Demuro is obnoxiously hyped up. It distracts from the vehicle.
Can't stand snarly yappy De Muro and his high-pitched nasal laughter. Way tooooo opinionated and way toooo biased. Ted is from another planet altogether. And a REAL driver too.
I like my Mum's review more than Doug's.
Doug sucks. He thinks people care more about him than they do the car he reviews.
Lancia is a 115 years old car company. Now it is a sort of ghost industrially speaking (only one model sold exclusively in Italy) but, if you don't know its history, you cannot even imagine how many "first" Lancia has invented in car manufacturing engineering. Lancia had represented the best of made in Italy for many years, producing luxury, high quality, prestigious cars. Once they decided to go and compete in the Motorsport, they had been able to collect a huge and continuous success. Consider that, even after 30 years from their retirement from rallies, they still keep the record of world championships won (11 in total: 1/ Fulvia HF, 3/Stratos HF, 1/037, 6/Delta HF Integrale). Delta S4 didn't win because of the stop to Group B from FIA, but it still reminded as the most absolute monster ever seen on a rally track... Lancia brand will probably born again under Stellantis management.
Complimenti per il tuo commento di alta competenza su la storia della LANCIA 👍
@@marcobelletti5297 ti ringrazio 👍
The sleeper to end all sleepers. Keep those Lancias coming man!
Been loving all the Lancia's recently, hoping to see a Scorpion, 037, or Stratos later in the future.
My Dad had a 2.0 HF. Your video bring my a lot of memories from my childhood, thanks
I was 5 years into ownership of my Integrale when I first drove her hard in a race track. Man that was when I realised how great the Integrale is. It may not say much when you drive it in public roads but drive her hard and you can feel what the legend is all about. Great Video man
Always appreciate the close-up shots showing the tiny details
There was one at Italian Car Day at Larz Andersen Park in Brookline, MA a few years back. An EVO I (I think) in a muted deep red, nestled among rows of Ferraris, Lambos, Alfas and even a few de Thomasos, with hardly anyone sparing a glance as they passed by. I spared it several long glances and also checked out the "FOR SALE' sign on one of the rear windows. $25 K would have taken it home, but a cooler head (and smaller bank account) prevailed that day. Regretted it ever since. Simply put -- I WANT ONE! lol
This video gave me hype as you jumped from one part of the car to another. Love this man.
the best of this car's features should be the gauge cluster. definitely iconic
You’ve been killing it lately! Nice video
Thanks Nicol!
i have been WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO FOR 800 YEARS NOW
FINALLY
i just love the no-nonsense design
its very simple in today's era of excess but that's what also makes it so damn great
Getting closer to driving an 037! It's almost like you're building a Lancia Resume for the sole purpose of getting to drive the crazy stuff lke the Stratos, 037, and former works racing cars.
Nice, reminds me of how much better handling 70s Fiats were compared to normal cars. This would be another level.
This is my favourite yt channel now
11:17 ''it defies physics'' -perfectly timed moment
Oh man, I fell in love with these cars when I saw a video of one doing a time attack run, and the thing sounded so freaking amazing. What really got me though was the way its boxy yet polished body looked like it was running on rails ripping through the corners of the climb.
Wow Ted, you really are nailing it with this special Lancia series feature!!!
Omg this is my dream car! I’m so jealous that you got to drive it! Hearing you talk about just makes me want to make enough money to buy one one day!
So awesome! Also great that you got the video in before Team Champagne Ninjas jacked it up, plastidipped it, and put crash bars, roof rack, and ugly wheels ;)
The switchgear (lights, wipers etc) was also used in early 80s Ferrari, possibly the F40 too. The central switches do illuminate, just not very bright. An upgrade is an LED bulb that feeds fibre optics to each switch.
Clicked immediately!
you ve got really famous! To 2006 to 2021 before you had 0 subs and now you have a lot! luv the cars
Not only is the car awesome, but driven on a beautiful day in a beautiful place. I’m in awe.
It’s a beautiful Italian Sport Quattro Joking aside, I love these.
I always look forward to your videos, regardless of the car. I love the way you review cars
Thank You!
Incredible car ! I love it. Great video.
I love this episode and rally cars are cool. Yaris, I20, Fiesta - just beautiful.
Today's car may be one of the most important cars, ever and from what I hear, it makes the widest smiles on the people lucky enough to drive it. :D
Such a sick car, love the vid 🔥🔥
Love this car , I think first time I met Delta Integrale , in Collin McRae Rally 2 , and it blown my childish mind, how fast it was , oh my , love it.
And I really like that how you push this one in the corners , even watching a video , feels fast and stabile !
love the videos!!
Another beautiful video thank you
I was so intrigued by you telling me everything I need to know about this car. I need to drive one
This car was "THE DEAL" back in the days when i got my driving license. Thank you for bringing back old memories , you gave the respect and enthusiasm this car deserves. Awesome video brother!
Love these things. Definitely a dream car of mine also. And, what a great day for a drive too!
I love the interior of 80s/90s cars so much. Cool looking dash 👍
The Rally car for the road, kinda like Toyota GR Yaris
Brilliant, I love the video
I remember seeing this car in Sega Rally and absolutely loving it as a kid. Now it's only gotten better with age!
Excellent review of the Delta. Ciao from Turin, Italy.
Love this car, you are a lucky guy you get opportunities to drive awesome cars so often!
Finally man been wanting to see one of these
A truly legendary car. Wicked cool!
The scenery that you are driving in is astonishing.
That is the only car I want at the moment. Love it.
Since it's a Lancia, the fact that it started, and, ran right long enough for you to make this video is a friggin' MIRACLE. The most legendary aspect of Lancias is how incredibly, stupefyingly unreliable they are.
True legend, no other words needed
I drove one last year, bloody awesome!
Such a beautiful car, thanks for the video!
The ultimate micro muscle car! I remember riding shotgun in one, a 1987/88 HF turbo 4wd it was like being hit by a sledgehammer when the blower cut in and is sounded like a giant angry hairdrier. Never forget it!
Had a Swiss 8v (16v body) as my daily driver and a limited edition Evo II (Guess which one). Still got the latter. You're spot on about the innocuous engine note, the tight seats - and the sublime experience.
Great video. This is one of the cars on my list when I win the lottery!
Gorgeous, cool to see the UK plate on the front.
Had a evo 1 for 13 years! Loved it, worst mistake of my life selling it, only car I've owned that that was far better than my driving ability, did shed a tear when I sold her 😢
Such a beautiful, boxy little hot hatch. Oh my gosh ❤
The Velcro seats had me laughing 🤣 Beautiful fall colors too!
we all know this is the car we have been waiting on
Man what a beautiful car. I wish people drove more cars like these in my country because the equivalent of a car where like that where i live
is an sti
You’re living my dream man
“What’s most striking is all the bulges”
-Tedward
Damn...that sounds super healthy! Literally sounds like a brand new car if you just close your eyes.
Thank you for your videos :)
Thank you for your comment!
Modern cars have all kinds of electronics stability systems to keep you in check.. the Delta Integrale just opens the glovebox to warn you 😃
Italian here: great video dude, you should check all the different versions of the EVOLUZIONE out. Giallo ginestra, Martini 5 and 6, Final Edition, Bianco Perla they have been the history of the Evo and today they cost tons of money to buy! I had a Giallo Ginestra back in 1998 with Recaro Alcantara high seats, it was beyond gorgeous! I miss my old Evo..!! If you can afford one, don't hesitate, just buy it now!
Beautiful dashboard and steering wheel !
