Today we cover the latest addition to the very popular xtra-large series of G-Shock, that started with the GA-100 and GA-110 YEARS ago and has proven to be quite a success for Casio!
This latest iteration follows the same concept and is basically the same watch as both GA100 and GA110 with only the dial layout being slightly different.
That means that this too comes with 1/1000 of a second stopwatch with average speed calculation, a 24 hour countdown timer, 5 alarms and a world time function with time swap between home and world time.
I will also do a detailed tutorial for this model so stay tuned...

I just bought one $110. I agree at night you can’t even see it that great even when you turn on the light.
Was on holiday in Australia visiting a mate in Port Macquarie who has a jacuzzi next to their swimming pool. Got in the jacuzzi and killed Lorus digital watch which was allegedly rated for 50m. The following day went shopping for a replacement watch and went to one of the local watch stores, saw this Casio G-Shock and fell in love with it. Great size, chunky, has analog and digital dials. Only downside is that the watch light isn’t that great and it lacks luminous watch hands and dial markers. If Casio are able to resolve these then this watch would be absolutely perfect!

For me good looking watch, love the hands, but dont like u cant see the digital display in the dark. Also its to small for me. I love the mudmaster triple sensor size. As usual great video, thks !

I am curious to know more about Casio Pro-Trek PRW-6600YB-3ER. For me radio controlled time keeping is mandatory. This model is in the first place in my shopping list. The negative digital display is the only negative detail.

The variants of the GA-100 are too big ? the G-shock GA-700 is even bigger, it's absolutely huge.

It's a shame so many gshocks without solar charging...
Yes. After having owned a gshock, with solar, for 3 years now - I'm never going back to non solar. It works surprisingly well. It started on medium charge when I opened the box and it has never left high charge since.
Well I don't want to be a jerk... But I've had my non solar ga-100 for 4 years now. Using the auto light function all the time. Haven't had to change the battery yet.. And really a new battery doesn't cost that mutch.
But this is $100??
Non solar G-shock batteries are easier to find than solar ones.
And double light
