Pretty big changes. Overall a buff and a nerf to the effectiveness of CVs. I see it making carriers more Enjoyable and dynamic for the player, while being far less impacful on games. The reduced spotting will make a difference for a whole team, being able to maneuver and position without fear of getting cross mapped, while CV spotted.
I see it as a MASSIVE buff for destroyers, once again solidifying the extreme power of destroyers on this game. Limited fuel will not allow CVs to stay in the OA as long (simply flying circles over a DD). And of course, flying over DDs will not allow your team to shoot them (unless the DD becomes ship spotted).
Pobeda and the Russians now have to bounce their bombs at least once 😂 it was good easy to nuke a DD before, I'll agree. Might as well have had rocket planes.

The changes to spotting makes the fuel meter pointless. If you can't spot there is no reason to loiter, and the catapult fighter is completely useless now. So now we have planes that permanently faster as fuel consumption doesn't increase with speed.and they have stupid long ranges so I'm not even sure that this will make carriers move any closer.
@@Like2trip Yeah We will have to see just how limited the range is. Talking in the CC discord, it sounds like fuel could be an issue with double dropping on a long strike mission. C Spawn CV MIGHT have the fuel to drop a ship on A, but maybe only 1 drop. I really hope it forces CVs closer...that's what its supposed to do but alas, some players still wont get it.

Hits like a truck, but hard to hit from what i see on PC. Basically need a large stationary target. or to be lucky

As far as the "Renting" option, that would be a GREAT thing for the ships you have to spend Global to buy. Dropping 750k global on a ship and then hating it really, really sucks. If we could spend a little bit to rent it and see if we liked it before dropping that 750k Global, that would be huge!!

I already have good AA builds on some cruisers and DDs.....its might be changed to how the spotting time works....like the radar change some years ago....the carrier can see the enemy a few seconds before you're team can.

**For the X-Box** Absolutely right about spotting. Depending on the map size and the fact they didn't re-work where the carriers start, we can barely get to the enemy in time before fuel runs out. They also require the CV to get closer to be effective. Everyone who plays this game, and spots the CV, will immediately go after it, and stay on it, until they are dead or the carrier is dead. I play the CV almost exclusively because it can control the battle if played right. Find and spot destroyers, call out low-health ships to finish them or finish them with the aircraft, find the opposing CV, etc. Since my winrate was 69% with a 5.88 K/D I can agree they needed some tuning down, so much was removed from the carriers it makes me wonder what their purpose is now and what one thing they do better. Every ship has a strength and weakness but they took the strength away without helping on the weakness. They are brittle and now forced in closer to be effective at all.
CVs be good to have limited number of rentals. Fuel always ran out after death anyhow, so hmm. Curious about spotting - reduced would make sense. More planes, more bombs - will make tier Vii more viable, as the step change from iii, V then Vii is huge in terms of survivable.

@@DerkaGamesI hope that all it is that they simply reduced the air detection range. Not for destroyers, but for battleships maybe 2km to 4km and for cruisers 1km or 3 km depending on the ships

@@DerkaGames like that would be something simple and easy to implement that would have far reaching consequences. With that change most cruisers aa would start right as they are spotted by the cv player so forces them into a trade off, either spot and get your planes shredded by cruiser aa DPS or don't spot as effectively because you just go after battleship as they are still relatively easy to spot.

You are by far my favorite CZcamsr when it comes to warships. Not trying to kiss your ass but you explain things in ways that others do not and it makes it easier for me to play since I'm not a everyday player.
I also find that I gravitate to specialty ships. I love torpedoes over gun boats for example, I do enjoy aircraft carriers and always have because they're a novelty. When it comes to battleships I like the secondary fire builds for example. I'm just trying to extract as much fun and not be cookie cutter.

The campaign ship was a real ship she and her sister ship were started to be built in 1939 and were commissioned in 1953 she and her sister ship were also sold too Peru for their navy and one of the ships in Peru was the Garu from pc and she was decommissioned in 2017 and also almost was made as a museum ship and sadly was scrapped in 2022

The thing I want to see is minimap spotting and more limited planes. Maybe something to the soviet CVs.
Or at least get the "lesta games" approach, where the CV can spot, but at a given range of the hull, forcing them to close into the battle if they want to be useful, punishing the A1 potatoes and creating some sort of skill gap.
With basicly unlimited aircraft, i dont like the changes to the aircraft carriers. Basicly they now dont have to worry about flying over certain ships because loosing a few planes means Nothing. I just wish they where like the good old days with a limited number of aircraft.

CVs feel pretty underwhelming so I think a buff is warranted. Will be nice to have a reason to play CVs other than when I’m too drunk to play a BB.

I noticed that the aircraft now have a fuel gauge and no throttle cooling bar, Saipan has halved starting planes, is this supposed to be the new rework?

Not a big CV hater, don’t play them but can see them having a place in the game. If I was to rework them, I’d have them more suited for support focus. Dropping smoke, spotter planes for allies or placing mines. That kinda thing 🤷♂️

Tier 7 and higher carriers are already crap. The AA builds available and Cruisers and BBs with 99 AA tear up planes. At most you will get one run pass, by the time you turn around for a second run the planes are gone.
I had this air drop attack on me yesterday. I couldn’t figure out what the heck it was, thought it was some weird Russian slip bomb attack.I got attacked 3 times with it and only caught fire once, but took HP hits like a salvo from a surface ship. Was this a Beta test I was experiencing.
Nah that was probably a German CV with the AP bombs, they can citadel you through the deck

Very excited for the CV changes. CVs should have a place in the game but I feel like that place wasnt very well realized and made them much more of a "fun police" type annoyance than simply an alternative strategy. Nobody likes being perma-spotted or perma-flooded at will. Absolutely nobody at all likes getting enough for a double Clear Skies just to spectate the battle and watch the CV continue to harass others on your team as if those plane losses had no impact. Excited for the changes, hopefully its a net positive

I love the Cossack and actually won a Brawl duel with only 2hp against a Kiev 😂 One of my most treasured Warships clips. Love the Tribal class. Really hope its a good fit at Tier 7

@cuttlefish6839 I'd argue that CVs took a lot out of the role of gunboat DDs and that BBs were already handicapped enough as it is without yet another class that hard counters them

Because their fun? What's wrong with carriers? You rarely see them. Even more rare when you get negatively impacted. I play all the damn time and there's only like 1 instance in the last couple months where a carrier annoyed me.

We better get a Dutch flag for the Friesland. I don’t care about the collaborations much. To me they screw up the aesthetic of the game but I will say, the Transformers one is awesome. Especially the skins with the robots on your ship in the turret. A+ on that one

I really enjoy the 2 Warhammer captians...but the rest looks a little meh....just give me better AA on all ships..especially DDs...I'm not a fan of cvs...maybe if they run out of fuel and have to return that will help...but sitting in a smoke screen with forever planes buzzing overhead in a 15 game sucks...

@@christofferahnstedt3847 they are different terms but if your drops have a larger AOE than isn’t that somewhat of a buff? Yes the damage is reduced, but it’s easier to do more consistent damage now

Wait, a CRUISER is getting a medium bomber squadron airstrike? Land based attack aircraft? 🤦 Well I barely play WoWSL anymore anyway. I'm sure WEeGee feels console carriers are WAAAY overdue for a MASSIVE carrier buff to bring them inline with PC so that's got to be coming any day. Shockingly I'd almost rather play WoT and I play that maybe once or twice a year for last half dozen years.

New carriers update isn’t that good. Before, the low scoring made up for everything else. Now the gas gauge. This lowers the scoring again.

Sorry the t7 Dutch cruser is a no for me. We don't need these kind of abilities in legends. Next will be submarines. If you want that type of game play PC. I just don't understand when they have two different games they are now trying to make both games identical. Shouldn't you make one game more complex and one game more simple. It's why I chose legends in the first place.
Ever since the carrier beta I just can’t bring myself to enjoy this game. Wasted so much time and money. Wish they kept carriers in their own game mode. What’s the point in using an AA build if there are no planes???
Honestly I haven't felt too burned from having no fly zone when there's no CVs, still helps melt spotting and fighter planes through mountains
