Design in Dialogue

Joep van Lieshout founded AVL (Atelier Van Lieshout) in 1995 and has been creating provocative objects, architecture, and sculpture ever since, with an eye toward deconstructing normative systems of value. His work, often imposing in scale, addresses some of the great themes of human life: fertility and destruction, desire and repulsion.
