    Own a 2008 Exclusive (leather, ACC, DVD, screens for second row), 100 000 miles, avg 51 mpg. Really comfy ride, always leveled thanks to air suspension in the rear. All major issues fixed by previous owners, just changed oil and bulbs for past 1,5 year.

    Just bought one as a run around after selling my Mercedes v8 coupe, love it for what it can do for me & so comfortable, roomy & economical, same car as this but blue, paid £1000 full mot & a good service history, I've added wind deflectors & a bluetooth stereo.

      @@billyboggins Hi
      If you search for p5130 you will find it.
      Its not a branded stereo.
      I also bought a lead (£9.95) so it would just plug in.
      You will not have use of your steering wheel controls regards this stereo, also lose reversing audible beep from sensors & now that its fitted i find that this unit doesn't seem to find many fm channels, doesn't bother me as i connect my phone.
      At £34 ish its done the job for me + £9.95 for the lead.
      Hope this helps

    Annoying things I have found with our 1.6 hdi VTR+. Sun reflection off the chrome trim on the steering wheel or chrome storage compartment buttons can be very annoying. There are no ceiling grab handles in the front cabin area to assist getting out the car. The small instrument panel for the lights which include the high beam and indicators sit above the centre of the steering wheel, the High Beam indicator light/LED is quite bright at night and can be very distracting, there is no option to dim unless you cover the light. The heater controls are all down on the drivers side near the door that none else can access except the driver, it has a multitude of push buttons making it very difficult to adjust without taking your eyes off the road. There is no engine temperature display it only displays outside temp, Turbo oil seals leak which are apparently quite common new turbo. Electronic handbrake great for hill starts but that's about it, I do miss the conventional manual handbrake. It a nice looking family car with plenty of room inside Ours has a manual gearbox as I was advised by many that the the auto boxes can be very problematic and expensive when they go wrong. Faults we have had at present Turbo, ABS Sensors and light bulbs. The C4 was a little disappointing mainly due to it's design features, my previous car was Xsara Picasso VTX+.

    • @robertp.wainman4094
      @robertp.wainman4094 Před rokem +1

      Despite all the jokes - the Xsara Picasso was a great car! Did well over 200,000 miles in mine - lovely simple open interior with access to rear without getting out, as you know. Used mine as mobile office, van and occasional sleeping accommodation. I suspect the C4 Picasso is too complicated, certainly never sold as well as the XP.

    • @Immortal__
      @Immortal__ Před 4 lety +1

      My other question is, can you set the speed indicator to km/ph? The normal analogue indicator had both mph and km written on, so driving at a certain speed in Europe is easy

      In have one of these that I have owned since 2016, I have three other cars including a nice Mercedes but I use the Citroen on family holidays. I drove from Algarve to Cherbourg ferry in 2 days in it, and then the following year from Cherbourg to Slovenia in 3 days, it’s very comfortable and ideally suited to European driving. Mine is manual gearbox, 1.6 diesel. If you buy a used 1.6 HDI my advice is change the turbo oil feed pipe and pick up filter, easy to do or a couple of hundred quid if a mechanic does it for you, then change the oil every year or at 10,000 miles religiously using the correct specified oil.

    I'm looking at buying an old 2010
    or 2011 one of these cars... to replace a 2002 ford focus estate that is sadly reaching a fix cost barrier! I camp in in it and this looked like the roomiest car to get for that as few cars now have flat rear floors.
    However all that electrical stuff on the steering wheel you show is putting me off.. I just need a car! It looks like a big distraction when driving!
    I would love if there was a manual version of this, with just the front windows and mirrors electric.
    Also a boot you can open with a key as well as press of a button up front.
    It's depressing looking for 'just a car' these days...
    I was staying with friends with my boot open for the dog to get in and out... And they kept telling me I'd left the boot open.. I said yeah I always leave it up.
    Then they said their battery ran down if they did that on the car they'd just bought!! What ! So that's on my shopping list too ..a boot I can leave open 🥰
    ...maybe I'll have to get a van, if I can find one with windows.. second hand
    cars and vans have got so expensive in Ireland the last two years ..
    Ps: I'd welcome any brand recommendations for either suitable car or van
