    I had one of these and sold it to a friend, then replaced it with the 608. I love shooting these bad boys. I am getting comfortable with semis but will take a 357 round over a 9 mm any day of the week. Great video

      The 357 round packs a big punch, I've started looking into the 10mm round for semi auto, it's pretty powerful too. It may become my standard soon. Thanks for watching the video!

      I like both ngl. I have a s&w m39-2 in 9mm, absolutely love it. Thing is reliable as can be, and pretty damn accurate. That being said, I'm looking forward to getting into revolvers, I've just decided this is the model I'm probably gonna set aside money for. I'd just rather have something with a smooth double action, high energy, and very few moving parts to go wrong if some dirt gets in there while I'm bow hunting or something like that

    As retired police, I trust more the 357 revolver 6 inch more than semi automatic.

    The 627 Tracker or the 66, which is a 686 clone, are both sound options if you want a big 6-inch .357 at a budget!

      NICE!! I'm not normally a revolver guy, I have a few just because I think it's good to have some just in case. I've never had a semi auto caliber round revolver but I've been meaning to try one. I'll have to check out this one. Thanks for watching!!

    This is a solid budget revolver, in my experience... I have 1200 rounds through mine (a 4" model for CC). No problems with good ammo. The rifling inside the barrel goes all the way to the muzzle, with the porting on the end splitting the difference between power and recoil mitigation... An excellent choice.

      What holster do you use for Concealed Carry I can’t find one

    • @carlosmorris4510
      @carlosmorris4510 Před 8 měsíci

      @@dragonvipers5612 I use a Blackhawk brand IWB holster... It's just a cheap, thin nylon holster - but the only one I could find for a 4" medium frame revolver.

      @@carlosmorris4510How is that working out. I want to get back in the game and am mulling over pocket revolver v.s. duty revolver. Probably will eventually get both.
      I am thinking of a pancake but IWB is a little easier to cover.

    • @carlosmorris4510
      @carlosmorris4510 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@mkshffr4936 It's working out very well - for IWB concealed carry; the Taurus 627 Tracker is a little slimmer (and lighter) than a GP100, for example. It's one of the guns in my rotation. But yeah, it's good as a multipurpose, all-around revolver, imo; good as a CCW and for home defense... And it's 7-shot cylinder capacity is nice. The duty-sized 4" barrel length is good too; a better sight radius than a shorter barreled revolver - which helps with accuracy. I put a more recoil-absorbing aftermarket Hogue grip on mine, which makes shooting it even better... It's a lot of gun for the money! 👍

    How does it handle 357 reloads? Is it as sturdy as a Rugar GP 100?

    What kind of 357 ammo do you recommend

    • @citizenpew

      Not Armscor, I've had nothing but bad luck with it. For just practice I like Remington and Federal, for defense I use Hornady. All have been tough to find where I'm at.

    How many rounds on the gun now? Any Issues ?

    • @citizenpew
      @citizenpew  Před měsícem

      I've put about 400 rounds through it, about half and half .357/.38, I honestly don't get it out to the range much unless friends or family want to shoot it, but so far no issues, it works every time. Just glad I got rid of most of that Armscor ammo, nearly every round took to or more strikes, didn't matter the firearm.

      What do you need with a safety on a revolver anyway?

    • @olrubberface
      @olrubberface Před 7 měsíci

      My first experience with Armscor was .22s- worst .22 ammo I've ever tried, and I have tried as many different .22 types as I could. Armscor rimfire was by far the worst. I'm glad I saw this, I'd thought centerfire Armscor would be better, but it doesn't appear so.

    • @OOICU812
      @OOICU812 Před 2 měsíci

      It's not a safety in the traditonal sense like you'll find on semi autos, it's basically a child lock. You can thank Hillary Clinton for it. Taurus and S&W are the only two makes of revolvers that I know of that have them.

    • @SteveLong-kf4wx
      @SteveLong-kf4wx Před 15 dny

      Using a safety on a double action revolver is like wearing a belt and suspenders at the same time while wearing Velcro sneakers w shoelaces. Actually, it's intended more as a child lock than s safety
