If you can sober up on the Ayesha Juice, Rob has a point. #1 Steph cant carry a team. Doesnt have the same stacked roster anymore and is limited in size and athleticism. He needs a top 5 Forward who is dependable during Iso plays and is clutch and can defend the perimeter. Thats not wiggins, and klay is damaged goods. And when you overpay the guy it eats the salary cap making it hard to get top forwards which they need. #2 Harden does more than shoot, can rebound and defend the perimeter with his size, Lillard does more than shoot, he is Portland's best playmaker. Curry is a great shooter but he's not gonna defend the perimeter, rebound and not even the best playmaker (Draymond is). He cant carry a team the way Luka (who is a triple double machine) or even Ja had to carry their team with LIMITED support and get the team to the playoffs. Steph needs the best support players that money can buy for GSW to be competitive and overpaying him limits their budget. 50 million a season is superstar forward money, not a guy who is 6'2" (6'3" my a**) and jacks up a thousand threes (missing half) with limited rebounders, cant defend and rebound.
He's not a hypocrite at least and doesn't flip flop, he's dedicated to his convictions 😂🤷🏻♂️

I would like to point out that even if the Warriors never make the Finals again, Steph Curry has already generated billions in revenue for that franchise/city… and he’s well on his way to generating billions more over the next 5+ years. Packed arenas. Merchandise sales. Shoes. Sponsorships. Local economy. Etc. They literally built a new arena in downtown SFO… some of the most expensive commercial real estate in the damn world. This man pays for himself just by putting on the Warriors jersey. And that’s just the worst case scenario. In all likelihood, the Warriors make plenty more deep playoff runs and maybe win the whole thing.

If the NBA franchises don't pay their superstars they money the latter generate, their billionaire owners will pocket this money themselves.
Steph has been healthy and his game ages well. He doesn't necessarily use athleticism like a Westbrook or Iverson. There is no reason to believe he won't make good on this contract. Plus, yes they are title contenders. Wiseman is just going to get better. Steph was an. MVP candidate this season. Klay could come back and make a huge difference. Wiggins is a decent 3rd scoring option.
