Steph has a whole 15 min clip of clutch shots he hit in the playoffs on CZcams. Plus Steph in 2015 had the second highest ppg in the fourth quarters in the finals all time right behind Shaq. But he was the most efficient. He also averaged more points then kd in the fourth quarter of 2018 finals as well.

At this point its just haterism fromRob Parker. Steph Curry has the three point record. On top of that he has a career 3 point percentage of 43%. He is seventh all time in three point percentage but the 6 guys ahead of him are not even in the top 50 all time in total three pointers mad. Out of the top 50 in three pointers made he has the highest career 3 point percentage. So if he can combine high volume with high efficiency and accuracy what more do you need to crown him the best shooter? The argument that there is a higher volume of threes attempted and that's why it took less games than Reggie Miller and Ray Allen to hit these numbers only holds water if he's just a chucker but he has a higher career three point percentage than either of them. This is while also having a much higher number of attempts that are unassisted or off the dribble than those two and some of those shots made are a higher degree of difficulty. If you actually look at his volume, career percentage, degree of difficulty, and range of his shots in totality you start to realize how insane this dude is at shooting the ball from distance.
As far as him underperforming in the finals that is true to a degree but not as much as people think. I mean he does also have the record for the most threes in a finals game with 9 and most threes in a finals series with 32. The narrative that he underperforms in the postseason is overblown. Also postseason does not mean just finals but all the playoff rounds so even if Steph Curry underperforms a bit in the finals he has had several clutch moments in the playoffs if you include all the rounds leading up to the finals.

I agree- I don’t take Rob Parker seriously anymore. I’m not sure what Steph did to offend him but he’s just salty (although Tom Brady has the same argument when it comes to Parker’s hate). I think he knows hate gets more attention than love. The argument for Steph in the playoffs is insane. Steph is top 10 all time in ppg in the Finals. He was injured in the 2016 finals but he never complains or brings it up- but everyone loves to talk about Kylie being hurt in 2015. As you or someone said, there is a video online of Steph hitting ONLY clutch PLAYOFF shots and it’s 15 minutes long. He has hit game winners but the thing is that Steph is so clutch in the last 5-6 minutes of games that he hasn’t needed to hit as many game winners. I can’t think of how many games he has helped put away by hitting clutch shots I the last 3-5 minutes of games. Steph should have a finals MVP (the thing Kellerman always points to - but even Max has eased up on the Steph hate). Iggy earned the fmvp in 2015 for his D but Steph was great that series- and another thing nobody pays attention to… In the 2018 Finals, Durant was doubled 3 times while Steph was Doubled over 40 times and he had a great finals series. Even when Steph doesn’t score, or get the assist, he is usually helping by drawing attention of other defenders. I have just come to terms with the fact that there are a few Steph haters but the false narrative about Playoff choking is crazy - Steph is ahead of Kobe in all time ppg in finals. I just would like for Steph and the Warriors to get another ring or two and for Steph to finally get a finals mvp to shut the last few people up.

@@ranma36 that's exactly my point, it was way easier to shoot 3s squared up back in the day when they weren't guarded. Until 2015, almost all distance shots all 3s were shot squared up because no one guarded them that closely, even with hand checking. Now, a significant amount of shots from Steph, Dame, Klay and others are started before they are square because of how they are guarded. Coming off screens and step backs off of having their back turned. Hand checking effected the midrange and ability for players to drive the ball, but people act like players in the 80s and 90s were forced off the three. They weren't forced, they just couldn't shoot it like they can now, and that's ok.

Steph has made plenty of clutch shots, and has hit plenty of big shots, hence why NO ONE wants him to shoot the basketball. You also have to understand that most people here don’t play or watch the sport regularly, so it’s easy for the media to say something and they simply regurgitate it. Steph can be averaging 40ppg in a series, but he’s MIA or not clutch because Klay or KD hit a couple OPEN shots BECAUSE HE’S being doubled and triple teamed. Granted, you have to hit the shot, so much credit to Klay and KD when KD was on the Warriors. But to ignore those SIMPLE FACTS when the internet has a plethora of information that’s one click away, is nonsensical. Steph is virtually never open for a game winner because everyone expects him to TAKE AND MAKE the last shot. He has to run an absurd amount of miles per game, as well as be a wizard with the ball to get the shots up because NO ONE wants him to shoot. NO ONE. These narratives about him not being clutch and not hitting big shots are simplistic and hold not an ounce of water. We’d rather talk about iconic shots that help certain players masquerade around as clutch players for all eternity. For example, Dame hit a shot over PG in the playoffs he’s clutch for all eternity, he doesn’t have to make it to the NBA finals and stopped getting bounced out of the first round so often. He can even be top 75. KD only had yo hit that shot over LeBron, and he’s clutch for life. Kyrie hit that one shot over Steph 5 YEARS AGO, and he’s clutch for life. People talk about the same ONE shots tor these players because they’re iconic. So a players greatness depends on ONE shot? If that’s the case, Curry’s has made WAY MORE than ONE iconic shot. Steph has 20/25min+ videos of him being clutch AND in the postseason season, but he doesn’t hit big shots. The information is there. People just don’t care about the truth.

Steph curry sent the pelicans home in the playoffs with a shot. He led 4, 4th quarter comebacks against the blazers in the wcfs. Steph curry went scoreless in the 1st half against houston in game 5 i believe and then went off for 33 in the second half. In 2015 curry in the pivotal game 5 of the finals he scored 37 points. He scored 47 against the raptors despite losing the game. In the game 6 klay game against okc he scored 33 to klays 41. But hey steph has no big moments in the playoffs. Hes never done anything great in the postseason. He only averages 28 ppg in the finals what a bum.

Exactly. It’s all narrative driven nonsense. They conveniently forget all of his clutch shots, his big games, etc. But let him have 1 “bad game” (at least by Steph’s standards) and he sucks. Interesting how it plays out. But Damian Lilliard who keeps getting sent home is “clutch” and players who Steph cooks in the playoffs are “clutch” but he’s “average” and can’t hit a big shot LOL. That’s where nonsense like “Give me Iggy for the last shot,” comes from. How insane.

First Rob says Steph ruined the game because he’s got everyone shooting threes, then he says he’s not the best shooter. Next he says it won’t last long, but forgets Steph was INJURY PLAGUED in the beginning of his career.

Exactly. I’m glad you brought that up. It’s convenient for people to forget all the big shots and big games Steph has and cover it up with fake pleasantries about him being a great player. Secretly, most fans and pundits alike hate Steph because of how quickly he ascended as a great player and disproved all of what they thought was impossible. It’s sad, but true. When you can is Google/search clutch postseason shots from Steph that’s 20min+ but no one knows it exists, or argues it, you can see that there is an objective to make sure that we don’t see how great Steph is. It’s like no one needs to fact check anymore, they can just say whatever they want, and people believe them because they are too lazy to do the research themselves.

Rob's argument with regards to steph are all over the place. To him shooting/scoring/ability only means something the the last 2 min of a 48 min game or the last shot in a game. But yet can't say that durant has a worse legacy because he has never won anything without steph, klay and dray

@@bbginc694 I comprehended that but that clutch shooting doesn't negate his ability to shoot. Dude literally is the hreatest shooter of all time but he's not the best
He literally changed the game so much that everyone is trying to do what he does and they can't. He's not a specialist but the main engine of the offense. The last 2 min to 10 seconds can't negate a whole game. And he tries to put on qualifiers all the time sith Kevin durant, but Kevin durant hasn't won without him either.
