yup that’s what separates him from the rest. This is not a knock on him but he truly has the self awareness of his weaknesses...of course his strengths too. A few yrs ago when he was up to be a free agent, ppl speculated that he would go to Charlotte. Lol I said that if he did, he’d become half the player he was, always get injured trying to carry a team by himself and get physically manhandled every night. Most “stars” would’ve chased the money and being “the guy” and left the Warriors but Steph knows that he needs to be surrounded by great talent to strive AND even is adamant about recruiting stars from other teams. Not alot of stars would do that. They’d think they can do it themselves and only when they lose alot, they figure it out. For example, one of my fav players of alll time D Rose, literally said one time that he is not interested in recruiting other players to come to his team while he was with the Bulls 🙄 yeah ok.
Steph, with his willingness to understand to have great players around him and help them to thrive truly made himself be part of the Top 10 all time conversation. I don’t think he’s in it but he deserves to be talked about like that. If not, well at least he changed the game AND no matter how much better KD is as a ball player, Steph is definitely ranked higher all time IMO

Teams can adjust during a series and turn the tide of the series. The Warriors were down 2 -1 to the Cavaliers in the 2015 finals and then they switched to a small lineup and never lost again. The Cavaliers made adjustments in 2016 and never lost another game after being down 3 -1 . Draymond's suspension was nobody's fault but his own the Cavaliers won 3 of the 4 wins with Draymond in the lineup you can't use the suspended as an excuse when the Cavaliers were short handed the year before.

Most of us would react the same way and they suspended him because the NBA accumulated flagrant foul points for Draymond.

At first the Cavs looked like they didn’t even belong on the floor with the Warriors then the second half of the series they dominated….(one game without Draymond) I don’t understand how that translates to the Warriors having no chance to beat those Cavs..lol. It literally makes no sense. The series was very close. I think they split the next two Finals without KD joining the Dubs. No way it would have been this “Cavs domination” that so many people seem to think it would have been.
