Have you lost your creative mojo? Today I share three ideas that will get you in your creative space and playing, and hopefully it will stimulate those creative juices and get your Mojo Back! I call them Mojo Motivators* and I hope they work for you too!
*Disclaimer I used the term Mojo buster throughout the video... and by the end I realized... I don't want to BUST my mojo I want to FIND my Mojo again.... so these ideas are more of a Mojo Motivator... so in future videos that is how I will refer to them.
In this episode I share these 3 ideas:
    1. Gutting and Harvesting words and illustrations from old books
    2. Found Poetry
    3. Fussy Cutting and using it to inspire
Blessings to you, thanks for watching! I hope this video inspires you to do something even when you creative energy is low!

Hi Diana, found poetry is fun...and depending on the book sometimes it is silly, nonsensical or really beautiful. It's always a new discovery. I hope you have fun with it. Thanks for saying hello and watching. I appreciate you.

. I think you are right, if we tackle small things we return to the main project with renewed interest. I have done a little word searching too and enjoyed it. I've never liked fussy cutting very much, perhaps I should just go for it. Nice to see you videoing Michelle. Tfs x

Mary… thank for your comment and watching. I find people either like fussy cutting or hate it… I’m in the first camp for sure, I have boxes of things I’ve cut. I find it so relaxing, but I understand why people might not like it… we should never do something we don’t like… especially in our “fun” time. What do you like to do when your time it creativity is short? I’d love to hear any ideas you have as well. I’m happy to be back, especially so I can chat with creatives like you. 🥰 Have a wonderful weekend!

I have a score of different hobbies so I jump from one to another. Crochet, knitting and beadwork are relaxing distractions but typically I’ve half finished projects everywhere and new ones forever waiting. I’m overwhelmed at times at the volume of work sitting there waiting, but I don’t feel guilty when I stop and smell the roses. I’ve noticed a lot leave CZcams because they are burnt out, or the enthusiasm has gone. Difficult to push through and burn brighter for many. We are emotional creatures though aren’t we, having to be “in the mood” to do anything lol. Enjoy your day and keep well. Mary x

Thank you so much for this inspiering Video ❣I always collect Mojo-sparking ideas, since I do my art for living I simply can not afford to loose it.I simply have to be creative , no matter how I feel - this is also not a call for sympathy, just a fact 😊. That´s why I appreciate you sharing this problem so much , it´s so good to hear how someone else is handeling it. But I do hope that things are getting better for you so you can be happy and content with life again. - love and hugs from Germany - Jutta -

Jutta, hello my beautiful friend. I can so relate to what you shared. When I was teaching art classes and art as my "job" I felt the same way. I always needed to make sure I came up with new ideas and show up for other people. Being creative all the time is exhausting. Pushing yourself through an uncreative time usually doesn't provide satisfaction, and for creative people that's tough. I feel very grateful that now I am accountable to only myself and can grant myself down time when I need it. Being uninspired or working through a very low energy time can be challenging and I applaud you for having the ability to continue forward even when you are not feeling it. While I know you were not looking for sympathy, I can sympathize with your situation. Anyone doing art full-time deals with that struggle. Creativity is something that comes and goes, so to try to have it every day at the same level, when we have other pressures of life isn't realistic so I applaud you for your efforts show up to your art table daily. I hope you grant yourself grace on those low creativity days. Sending so much love and friendship your way today. xo

I know your video wasn't a play for sympathy, Michelle, but I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry you are struggling right now. You are not alone. ((Hugs)) Your ideas for mojo motivators are fabulous!! You are 100% right: we have all been there and sometimes we just need bite-sized projects that feed our need for immediate gratification. I'm definitely going to try the page poetry. I've done similar things in the past, but not this exactly, and I love the way you go about it.

Thank you Denise. I appreciate your support and concern. I was very overwhelmed by a combo of family issues and working a giant Estate Sale that I started prepping in January! We just wrapped up so I’m hoping to get back on track creatively. I hope on your end that things will turn around soon and whatever struggles you are dealing with quiet down. Life is so complicated sometimes! I am all about bite-sized creativity these days so I’m sure more Mojo ideas will come. Sending you positive vibes, hugs and I hope to connect up with you again this year. 🥰

Greetings, dear Michelle! Yes, definitely I am interested in more of these mini project ideas so I can feel as though I am doing "something." I am currently studying about American women from the 1700-1800's and wondering how I can incorporate this into some art/writing projects, so, thank you for introducing me to heroine Betty Zane!

Hello Denny! How interesting that the cover of the book spoke to you. I hope you can find a copy and read it. I love reading how women lived back in the day as well, historical fiction is my favorite Genre to read. Thanks for popping in, sending some love your way!

Great idea for a series. I’m struggling myself right now and there is no creativity, though I want to create because it makes me feel better. These are good ideas and a place for me to start. Thank you!

Joy thanks for this comment. I think there is comfort in knowing that we all go through these periods for a variety of reasons and to not put extra pressure on yourself by "pushing through". I hope you can Relax and play with no expectations of the end product. Prepping, playing, even just looking through our materials and supplies is sometimes all we an muster and that is ok. Sending you best wishes and I hope your creativity returns soon. xo
