But of course, on it’s way soon. This deck still has some more gas in it. 😁

The moment I saw the Icjade Atlantean combo video a few weeks ago, I started looking into them myself and damn are a lot of the two archetypes compatible. I was surprised when I saw the UR link 2 Mermail's ability to summon back a water monster from the gy, replacing the starfish I had for a while now, and the ability to dump the lvl 4 to summon the sharkheaded mermail before looking for a negate equip spell is icing.
And I was even more surprised when I saw a mermail N-rank hand trap monster with a quick effect to pop a water monster from your hand or field that no one uses. I tested it and it is about to trigger your icejade gy effects too when you want. (haven't explored enough with that play's utility because of the event but through that test play in solo mode, I found it does work and was nice to be able to summon both aegirine and gymir because I had two icejades in the gy before using the effect to summon both on battle phase.)

Oh yes some of the things you saw were what made me raise an eyebrow to these cards. Also i'm sure they can even do well in the festival. I was going to try them to give myself practice in the hopes of improving this Icejade deck, but just using Rikkas.
So far, combined with the Icejades, I've found they added more extension to plays with the link 2 ways to recover and even search cards. However the ranked is not kind right now with Super Heavy Samurais. Breaking their boards has been my main challenge with this deck. Of course I can also be the problem since i'm still learning how these darn Samurais work, and figuring out how to stop them from setting up to begin with 😅. Apart from that these sea dwellers can do some interesting things if we can get past the learning curve.
I wish I had the water dragon ruler as well to test out, his effect seems perfect for these cards. All I have is the baby one 😥.

    icejade lovers
I use icejade with shark support and I think shark still the consistent one,
but this atlantean mermail support was fun

For sure sharks definitely seem to be the most consistent.
I’ve also ran into some Kairyu Shin Umi decks.
Atlanteans are very fun. They add more searching power and even give the boss monsters more recovery power. Gymir returning from grave is expected but people scoop in fear when they see Chengying rise once more 😂.
