Listening to the three cheers album and their first album spoke to me. It made me be okay with my geeky awkwardness and let me know I wasn't alone in the battle with bullies... Seriously if my chem. never existed I would have croaked it. They fuckin gave me the will to live... why? Because I wanted to make music that spoke to people, like they had for me once.. I wanted to save a person's life like mcr had done for me back in 2005. And 10 years later I'm fuckin here playing guitar :) I owe my upcoming success to you MCR.. YOU SAVED ME TO SEE THE WORLD THROUGH MUSIC.. TO TAKE ON THE WORLD WITH MY GUITAR...

Some people prefer their newer albums and some prefer their older ones,we are all fans whether killjoys,black paraders,revenge seekers or apart of the first album or the last one. Either way we all loved mcr and we all will have them forever in our hearts. This is the first song I ever learned how to play on guitar. This is the first song that made me realize I wasn’t alone, and this is the first song that saved my life. I’m not gonna tell some sob story about how horrible my life was but I’m just gonna say that this goddamn band saved my life and made me realize I was going to be okay. I really love this album because it tells a story in each song even though the stories can be terrifyingly dark. I believe this one is about a guy seeking revenge on someone because the person ruined his life. In the song there are several mentions of this person making him cut and another mention of cutting being his religion which is incredibly dark. I don't know if this is just a story Gerard made up or if Gerard actually made this song for a person but I believe it's just a story.

This is the first song I ever learned how to play on guitar. This is the first song that made me realize I wasn’t alone, and this is the first song that saved my life. I’m not gonna tell some sob story about how horrible my life was but I’m just gonna say that this goddamn band saved my life and made me realize I was going to be okay. Last night was my last show of a two year tour and we covered this song, I never felt happier in my 18 years of living then when I was up on that stage playing the opening riff. Thank you MCR, for everything that you’ve done for me, everything you’ve done for your fans, and everyone you will continue to help.

this song does an amazing job with making you picture this as a movie. i can literally see a person doing the things he speaks of
I really love this album because it tells a story in each song even though the stories can be terrifyingly dark. I believe this one is about a guy seeking revenge on someone because the person ruined his life. In the song there are several mentions of this person making him cut and another mention of cutting being his religion which is incredibly dark. I don't know if this is just a story Gerard made up or if Gerard actually made this song for a person but I believe it's just a story.
I love writing. I usually listen to some kind of music for inspiration or to get the gears a crankin'. When I want emotion, I listen to Three cheers for sweet revenge typically or something from shinedown. Great song. Lol, one time I was in a class, and the kid who sat behind me tried to sing (he had this joke that he liked me), so I sang "the sharpest lives", second verse, and just gave him this "I will kill you in your sleep" glare and he shut up. My friend who sat in front of me was looking at me like I was the devil or something...that kid didn't mess with me for the rest of the day. XD
