What hurt me most was when mikey told that his favorite part was dying, G was serious, at some point I thought he would get mad or something, even though we don't know what did he told his brother behind the behind-the-scenes
Tbh I think it should have been added because since there going for the accuracy I'm probs sure that happened at one point in the actual war, friends yelling n crying for them being lost

@@lala-kc3br he was the one who died in the music video. He didn't actually die. You can see that Gerard as screaming 'mikey' if you read his lips. Mikey and Gerard and brothers. Mikey plays the bass in the band too btw
This is my favorite MCR song. The video puts my stomach in knots. People go everyday never thinking about the brave men who died for this country. This song always humbles me.
I know right I cry every time especially when I see Gerard's face at 3:18 it's so sad 😭 this song also makes me think of the break up in a way so that makes me cry even more 😭
First time I heard that song around 2014. Now, 10 years later I’ve become a gunfighter in Armed Forces of Ukraine… Accidentally found this song yesterday. I was impressed by this song even 10 years ago. But now… I can feel each word. Have my own video for this song made of memories about those who never coming home…
it’s been YEARS and to this day i have never seen an mv better than this one. the wave washing up on the beach as a transition gets me every time. it’s a brilliant and unique approach of cinematography. mcr was truly ahead of their time with these types of mv’s. not a lot of bands were doing it like them.
As somebody who has aspirations of directing.... This is bog standard. It's just Saving Private Ryan copied shot for shot. Why the hell do people on the internet exaggerate so often?
The fact that Gerard's pupil shrank in shock like that at the end is proof alone how much soul went into making these. That's not just something you 'force' out and it gets me every time.
Exactly! It kinda reminds me of that one part in filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, where Fred dies and of course George is just devastated, but their actors were seriously really emotional because you can't just watch your closest friend die like that. Like after they finished the scene and the cameras were off, George's actor was literally crying
Thanks Angelica....I came back.....but never really did until recently. People just don’t get it. I pulled numerous deployments cause I kept volunteering, I didn’t know anything else and I didn’t wanna come back unless it was a body bag. I had numerous friends lost overseas that came back in body bags. Lost my best friend the first deployment, grew up together and went through boot camp together, A school and stationed together. People here don’t see what we see, people don’t wanna see it. People don’t understand that we do things we don’t wanna do. We do it anyways....1988-2001 was my time of enlistment. Signed a tired old combat medic
I listen to this every few years ago it reminds me of my grandfather. I’m lucky I got to live through this music getting popular and even luckier it’s having a resurgence and I still get to see my favorite bands from time to time ❤️

This band was way better than I deserved as a teenager but I'm glad I can come back at 29 and have an even greater appreciation for them
I'm 13 and I don't care that they are old their music is insane.
@@philiptv3348 glad to know folks your age are still enjoying them! I don't feel old at 29 but I'm reminded sometimes when I'm at my buddy's house and talk to his 12 and 8 year olds. To be your age when these guys were first hitting the scene was nuts. I feel old to say it but it's true haha. I'd never heard anything like them before. The 90s and 2000s were an unbelievable time for music

They do deserve an Oscar for this music video given the time it came out. Gerard sings with such feeling it’s incredible

The fact that in the behind the scenes video, Gerard actually shouted Mikey’s name and cried so they had to do a second take.
What hurt me most was when mikey told that his favorite part was dying, G was serious, at some point I thought he would get mad or something, even though we don't know what did he told his brother behind the behind-the-scenes
Got the link to the video ??
@@johnestrada1338 czcams.com/video/xSjALZS3Zzc/video.html starts with this and there is a pt 2
Tbh I think it should have been added because since there going for the accuracy I'm probs sure that happened at one point in the actual war, friends yelling n crying for them being lost
this isnt true lmao
Fun fact: the scene where Mikey gets killed could only be filmed twice, because it made Gerard break down too much. Same thing with the Weasley twins in Harry Potter.
HOW IS THAT FUN

its because mikey is his everything and even though it was just acting he literally watched his little brother die #siblinggoals
The raw emotion in his vocals and character really made MCR so great
Or y'know, video editing.
