I think Charlie was talking about Avi Schwartzman since he said it was a couple years back and Avi had us steal a bunch of Hard Drives from a Merryweather Bunker as a contract for the Auto Shop.
As far as money making goes there really isn't much here. The contracts in the Avenger only pay $60k per mission and Project Overthrow really is just a story playthrough not meant to be grinded over and over. But the new stealth plane is awesome, the Avenger upgrades are good, The Tactical SMG is a good drive by weapon and the QoL improvements are always welcome. Really sucks that they removed almost 190 vehicles from the websites. Its never a good thing when you REMOVE content, then try to sell it to you later (Vinewood Car Club)
In the next DLC they should add 🐑 🌮 as a snack
The whole dlc is lame to me. I don't like planes either. These missions are a huge waste of time.

@@Brentt777 I think the update was still cool for the story, and the fact there’s a tiny chance it could play a role in GTA 6’s lore if Merryweather makes a return to begin operations over in Florida after being put out of business in the San Andreas area
The one thing that annoyed me though was how extremely difficult all of the missions are as a solo player, all 6 story missions seem to expect for you to have a full squad if you’re playing them on anything above easy difficulty

Hey Pro, just a little tip: In the Quarry mission you can park the Draugur in your Avenger and just fly to the drop off.

I feel like this update deserves some sort of second part. It was really underwhelming and I feel like there has to be something else that’s gonna be added.
I honestly thought there was gonna be something big going down with Merryweather but it seemed lack luster of story, it was all hype for the new fighter jet, an object as a center piece of the DLC update. I do like the new fighter jet, i was hoping rockstar would add the f-35 and they delivered. but i was expecting a story to this DLC, like how it was with doomsday.
@@InfinityStar2000 I also thought there would actually be some sort of finale. The one we got was super underwhelming and Project Overthrow was just super unrewarding. I went through all of the missions hoping for an awesome finale but was met with Cart-Pushing Simulator 2023.
The update is just part 1 of other DLC accoding to the codename of this which says "01"

They should rip off Metal Gear Solid 5 for a mercenaries part 2. Buy an oil rig, start a militia, do missions for resources, steal resources from other player bases, something like that.
Pro you gotta make a rant about this update. Over 180 vehicles removed to buy including doc vehicles, toggle sprint is not in story mode, career challenges are ridiculous and start veteran players at 0 for many of them. I’m sure you can find many more things to rant about. Love the content

@@pab3247 I don’t care about whether a car is statistically good or meta or whatever, I get cars purely because I like them and because they look cool, when I need something to do well on a mission i’ll just use my Oppressor MK2
Removing cars from the store regardless of their statistical performance is still bad, removing content is removing content. And as of right now there’s no alternative way to obtain them since DLC vehicles don’t spawn naturally anywhere in the world and also they don’t let you take expensive cars into LS Customs so even if you do find one on the road you wouldn’t even be able to insure it or customize it in any way
@@NeonTheWolf i get what you are saying but if you look up there are like only 8 super cars that were removed so its really not that big of a deal even tho is not good to take out content. But as long we got 95% of the good stuff there is no reason to complain like if its the end of the world. Most of the cars were random 4 doors that are old and they really are lessed used vehicles,if you look them car most of them you wonder who would use them.
But this community always find reason to complain thats why its bs and delusional.

My only complaint is that it takes too long to do the On Parade mission SOLO due to the new fighter jets missiles It took me 40 minutes to do the on parade mission
So many times my team of 3 fails from getting hit by the avengers to mid air collisions
Yeah I did the thing solo with only missiles cause I swear the new jet has like no canon range

Yeah I had to take a Loooong time just using the homings on the avengers, the cannons range ain't great and being that close allows the avengers to get a shot off on their cannons, got hit once on the left wing, survived but of course I lost all control of that wing and was forced to restart 😑
I just gave up. I'm probably not going to go any further into this DLC, idk what rockstar was on while making Falling in and On Parade.
For the 3rd mission taking them into the city helps, if your lucky one crashes on the mountains also they seem to hate skyscrapers especially the arcadius building, you can uses them as shields and hopefully they get stuck and then you blast them to bits from cover
flying them over the alemo sea also works really well, when they fly low at the water their ai seems to bug out making it next to impossible for them to dodge attacks from any angle
From what I've heard you can actually take em back into the canyon that had the AA from the start of the mission, just turn on stealth mode and they get ripped to pieces
EenGamer posted a video where you can just fly low and the enemy Avengers wil just crash into the Alamo Sea

It's hilarious how many people Merryweather has. We've killed dozens in the single player, hundreds or thousands across the online missions, heists, campaigns, you'd think they would go bankrupt or run out of manpower and be forced to shut down at this rate.
You know what's even more insane? The other gangs. The ballas, lost MC and vagos have helicopters, miniguns and juggernaut body armor in online. Its so insane. Like at that point why haven't the ballas taken over the families already? Its insane we spend all these missions destroying them over and over. Nothing happens to the story or lore. its just so annoying I miss how in GTA San Andrea's over time you could get rid of the other gangs.
Theyre canonically the biggest mercenary group in the world and they also are actively in conflicts around tge whole world too. Its weird how much they want to operate in LS considering its heavy losses but they do have manpower. Wouldnt surprise me if we someday get a DLC where we find out they also have orbital cannons or Khanjalis
Merryweather is based on Blackwater and Blackwater got like 20.000 Contractors

Honestly I really liked this DLC, way better than Los Santos Drug Wars personally.
The drip feed is not so much content which means that it won't take 6 months so that's pretty good.

I think the only thing that makes ne mad at this dlc is the lack of closure for Merryweather. They didn't get any cutscenes they didn't have a main antagonist not even the CEO calling you telling you to watch your back. And i think the LSA should replace Merryweather in your phone and get one last call from Merryweather saying "We regret to inform you valued customer but we will no longer be offering services in your region"
Always makes me happy seeing him dress as his character. It was so hilarious see him talk as his character was too in the beginning.
Professional they removed 30% of all the vehicles in the game that includes motorcycles two-car vehicle and the works im a part of the MC community and most of the motorcycles added in the bikers DLC is now gone Rockstar has showed to us that they don't care about the community

I feel like the third mission was designed around the jet using the OP weapons the other jets used. Like the mission was designed and then it was decided to give the jet trash weapons. Because the weapons are too garbage to be used for that mission.

Yeah, the Raijous explosive MG feels like incendiary bullets rather than explosive. I needed 3 shots to make another Raijou SMOKE, not explode

That last mission on solo/hard mode really pushed me. I had nothing left. I didn't die as well and like you I'm glad I didn't know anything about it before my first attempt. Operation Overthrow are clearly the missions I will like to do the most on solo from now on. I know it will already be much better on the second playthrough now that I know what to expect and how much of it. My god. That last one is relentless.

I love how Ron's phone call emphasizes more ground combat, yet the very first mission you're in the avenger. Caught me completely off guard when I tried the mission on solo, hard difficulty, and haven't flown the avenger in months.
I actually landed the Avenger and took out all the npcs while on the ground. Was kinda afraid the SAMs would be too aggressive.
Ron is calling about a diffrent thing. He is talking about how now you can start Hangar source missions that will be land based, it's a new features Rockstar just added.

Parade: there are are three strats that work, Deal with the helis and jets first. 1) go in stealth through Raton Canyon so that the air defences destroy the Avengers 2) flow low over water and make sharp turns as the AI will crash into the water 3) fly low to the city as the AI will crash into low terrain behind you

i havent played gta since the contract and i came back for this update and ngl i found the whole dlc pretty underwhelming. story was ok but i expected more from a "military" style update. new jet is cool (for the first few hours) but honestly the dlcs have been the same since the contract, just adding some QoL improvements and a few new missions. ontop of that, removing 200 cars from the game then adding the car club to encourage ppl to buy gta+ is just dissapointing. and i dont even wanna start on them making drip feed vehicles limited time. it just seems to me like rockstar is just trying to milk this game and its players for every last cent until gta6 comes out. hence the smaller scale updates. what a shame tbh.
I knew it was going be trash, Rockstar said some of the newer dlcs won't be as good as the past they pre preparing for gta 6 whenever that comes out.

I wish rockstar would do a gang type update that’s like the mission in the dr Dre story where the ballas and families team up except they let our character join the ballas or families for territories and whoever you join will no longer be hostile towards you and you can call for gang back up

I was about to finish these missions without failing once. Until that one mission where you rescue Avi, the pilot just drove the Avenger to the water and I don't know why 💁 It was already the get away part.
For me, Avi somehow died inside the Avenger.

For On Parade, I let the Avengers into the city, and one of them crashed on the way, made me very happy. I tried counting how many missiles it takes to drop one, but I stopped at 100.
Rockstar shouldn't remove some of the vehicles from the 3 vehicle websites instead they should restructure the websites.

when I did this first mission I put the target vehicle in the avenger and transported it to the location I found that it was better instead of driving the 4 plus miles encountering the enemies along the way since you are much safer in the avenger they will stop following when your close to the drop location just a suggestion if you wanna avoid the enemy but if you enjoy the challenge then go for the ground transport.

For anyone having issues with the “On Parade” mission (to unlock the trade price on the F-160): when the Avengers arrive, just activate stealth mode and fly low through Raton Canyon. They should destroy themselves. If you’re still having problems, Gtamen made a good video on how to deal with the mission.
No, this is probably not how the mission was designed to be overcome. Although, it’s so obviously designed for multiplayer, if you’re solo you might appreciate these tactics.
I’m sure The Professional will eventually make a video on this mission, but until then, use this to save yourself from what could easily become hours of frustration.
You could have driven the Draugar vehicle to your Avenger’s rear and then you can fly your Avenger to the delivery location.

I'm mostly a solo player and watching this made me realize that this is not for me or solo friendly. Maybe one day when I have gtaMoney to burn and a crew I'll tackle this. Yeah I agree I'm grateful for him! I play solo too and I'm just going to keep grinding Cayo cause these payouts seem like shit. I don't own an Avenger yet either (never felt the need), so there's 4.5 mil plus the 1.4 to set it up already saved!

For that first mission, that's all you get is $19,000 for all that time. Its not worth it. It's not even worth the cost of an avenger to do this.
2:09 happens to me once in a while, even before the new update. If I'm making smart moves, not failing, making lots of money. The game seems to try to throw me off. But, its good because I always have a workaround. And that's why the game likes to give me a hard time. That's what it feel like when I play.

02:03 you probably got cops because of that bug after you unlock Patrick McCreary as a gunmen it has happened to me very frequently
The police van spawns and sees you by default and cops come after you(Obviously Packie has already been unlocked so the van will be empty)

PRO maybe you got wanted lvl because you didn't do the mission to free Packi from the police convoy? This mission spawns near Sandy Shores if I'm not mistaken. When we help him, he can be chosen to get us weapons for the diamond casino robbery.

There is a random event that happens there that gets the cops on you - you can go into the garage or your MC Cash biz that is right there to get rid of them.
