Hey. Just wanted to let you know that I found a way to do the exact same thing. Switch between any of 3 snapshots with 2 switches. But only way more simple and a lot less confusing. Basically instead of picking which snapshot to go to... You simply start on Snapshot 1 then select Next then save. It switches to Snapshot 2 then select Next then save. Again click it switches to Snapshot 3 then select Next then save again. Do it one more time so that it goes from snapshot 3 back to snapshot 1 Do this so that 1 foot switch cycles through all 3 snapshots over and over 1 2 3, 1 2 3, 1 2 3. Just like that by selecting Next in command center........ Then move to the second foot switch and start on Snapshot 3. Then select Previous this time, then save. Click the foot switch it goes to Snapshot 2. Then select Previous again, then save. Click the foot switch it goes to Snapshot 1. Then for the last time select Previous again, then save for the last time. And there you have it. I just did it on my HX Stomp using the external dual foot switch pedal. That way I can stay in pedal board mode on the HX Stomp and still have snapshot mode on the external dual foot switch that's able to select any snapshot from any snapshot. Hopefully this helps people set it up with less confusion.

You can make this even better! I'm not sure how to do it on the stomp itself, but in HX edit if you right click on the snapshot drop down you can select a colour for each one... these colours are then displayed on the LED rings, which makes it even eaiser to see which snapshots they will change to when you press the footswiches.. for mine i have blue for clean, red for OD, and purple for lead... works great!

@@cjlister8508 I know right? Actually I found an even EASIER way since then. Simply make foot switch 4 snapshot up, and make foot switch 5 snapshot down. DONE!!!! That way you can select any snapshot from any snapshot. No need to use command center. Just go to global settings and make foot switch 4 and 5 say snapshot up or down. It doesn't matter which one is which. You can go from snapshot 1 to 3 or 3 to 1, 2 to 1, 2 to 3. It's so simple I can't believe I didn't think about it till way later on. Anyway hope it helps you.

It doesn't look to me like there is a way to program/assign any of the 4 "Viewing Modes" (Stomp, Scroll, Preset, or Snapshot) so they can be selected by pressing one of the Stomp buttons (FS1-5) on the HX Stomp. The only way I can find to select a Viewing Mode is to press the "Page" forward or back button on the unit. There is a simple "physical hack" that can be done to make those buttons more accessible. I just put some double-sided tape on each button an stuck a thin piece of rubber and an 3/8 Inch "Acorn Nut" on top to make them tall enough to press by foot. You could use a piece of wood, dowel, etc., as almost anything tall enough will work. There is a short CZcams video called "HX Stomp Mode Mode Switch" that uses the same basic solution, but with a much more complicated mechanism.
On my HX Stomp, I have my Presets programed to FS1 and FS2 (advance up and down), and my main/specific Preset "Effect" assigned to FS3. My Snapshots are assigned to FS4 and FS5 (advance up and down). So by having the 4 Viewing Modes available by foot via the "Page" Up and Down buttons, I have access almost everything.
I believe there is a way to assign different Effects to the same Stomp button so they alternate which is On or Off. I'm not sure how many different Effects can be switched that way. Maybe you could make a video about how to do that, if you haven't already. Thanks for your insights on how to get the most out of the HX Stomp. This is something I'm very interested in, and the new Command Center Update has added a lot more power to the Unit.

send a midi cable out from the stomp and straight back into the stomp. then in command center do a cc toggle on the base channel and just enter in the two commands (I believe it's cc71 #0 & 3 but double check).
this will give you a toggle with one switch on just those two views leaving out scroll and preset modes.
you'll just need to set the cc commands individually on each snapshot.
this is my favorite way to run a stomp only setup since it gives you 4 switches to program as you see fit and 3 snapshots to use. super versatile with just an aux2 switch

@@joshuamorrison1810 Cool, I'll have to try that out. MIDI is insanely powerful, but setting it up properly often leaves me scratching my head wondering why it's not working. Thanks for sharing your tip and insights. 😎

@@joshuamorrison1810 Here are all the detailed steps that I followed, based on your instructions, and the results that I got:
Go to "Global Settings," and verify that Footswitch 3 is set to "Stomp 3"
Go to a Preset, and verify that you are on "Snapshot 1"
Open the "Command Center" from the HX Edit "Window" menu
Click on the "Footswitch 3" icon
In the "Command" dropdown menu, select "MIDI Toggle"
In the Parameters below that, make sure "MIDI Channel" is set to "Base"
In the "Dim Value" field, set the Value to "0"
In the "Lit Value" field, set the Value to "3"
      Leave "Type" on "Latching"
Leave "Switch LED" on "Auto Color"
Make sure to "Save" the Preset so these MIDI settings are saved.
Here is the list of available "Values" settings: Footswitch Mode (0=Stomp, 1=Scroll, 2=Preset, 3=Snapshot, 4=Next footswitch mode, 5=Previous footswitch mode)
RESULT: With these MIDI Settings, and starting on the "Scroll Mode" view, pressing FS3 advances the view to "Stomp Mode," then "Snapshot 1," and then "Snapshot 3." The "Preset Mode" view is skipped, and no further Mode views are available when pressing FS3 repeatedly, and I'm stuck in Snapshot Mode.
Is this the behavior you'd expect?
Did I program something wrong? I was hoping to be able to advance through all 4 View Modes, and return back to the first View.
      Thanks
