  • I just got my Sig P320 back from the factory for the voluntary upgrade/recall. The trigger is amazing, but I'm having some trouble with the assembly/disassembly. There seems to be an issue with the disconnector or something. Please comment down below if you've had similar issues.
    Balistol lubricant: amzn.to/2BnazbZ
    Cotton Swabs: amzn.to/2kQSBDx
    I'll head to the range to see how it functions and let you know if it is still an issue with the assembly/disassembly. If you don't want to listen to me go on and on about how great the trigger is, you can skip to these pertinent points for the assembly/disassembly issues. Thanks for watching.

    I should say there around the 7 minute mark that there are few differences outside of the disconnector that was added and that the disconnector was more prominent than I had expected it to be. That's what I get for working without a script...

      TXSuburbanHomestead push down on your trigger mechanism then push the slide back in. It will go on nice and easy

      Bradley Moore thanks, I appreciate the tip. Off-camera I tried every conceivable combination and nothing worked. I ended up having to send it back to the factory a second time. If you’re curious how it turned out, I’ve got a follow-up video posted on my channel after the return. Thanks again.

      Don't worry lot of people having same issue. I still having same problem. I notice when I push in that trigger mechanism it works sometimes. I'm afraid I'll have to give them a call and plus my case came back broken.

      Bradley Moore I think you’re absolutely right. I think this is a pretty common problem from what I’ve seen. I was convinced mine was a trigger/disconnect issue. I tried every combination of trigger pull/slide release, and nothing seemed to work for me. I’d be getting a new case at the very least if I were in your shoes.

      From what I've seen and heard from my local gun store, it's a real mixed bag. Glad yours works well. Mine eventually worked well. I've got another followup video on this . You should check it out. They finally got it fixed and it's running great. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

    I just talked to Sig after I posted the second video and they said that with that level of difficulty getting the slide over the disconnector that I may be causing damage to the striker. I'm shipping it back to them today. They're providing my shipping now and I'll keep y'all updated on what transpires.

    Having the same issue with racking the slide back on!

    I got my SIG back from voluntary upgrade. They forgot to perform the service about a feeding issue i also sent it in for, so had to send it back :/. But! My gun also got hung up taking the slide off, and also got fairly badly hung up getting the slide back on. When i did get it back on, dead trigger. Also, when i pushed the slide slightly back when fully assembled, the slide did get stuck about a quarter inch back. People always wanna hate on HK for having expensive guns.. “get a glock, get a sig!” But.. problem is my HK hasnt had a single issue and both my glock and my sig have had issues. I truly think that no matter what anyone tells you, you do and will get what you pay for.

    I just received my p320 today and had the same takedown issue you had but on mine I have a ton of lift or slop in between the upper and lower reciever which I didn't have before and I have tried it empty and with an empty mag and full magazine and also with one in the chamber and have terrible slop and movement it's horrible I even compared it against my other striker-fired guns and none of them have slop in them at all just thought I'd let you know see if yours is doing that as well thank you for your video and please give me some feedback

    • @TXSuburbanHomestead
      @TXSuburbanHomestead  Před 4 lety

      Interestingly, the more I've shot mine, up to a couple thousand rounds again, it's working itself out. No misfires in almost 3K rounds and the takedown is better than before. Good luck.

  • @scottthrower7637
    @scottthrower7637 Před 6 lety

    Yep. I did not do the voluntary 'upgrade.' Have had mine apart for cleaning several times, but when I most recently cleaned it, I removed the FCU for cleaning. Now, when assembling the gun, the slide does what yours does in the vid.... gets stuck about 1/4 inch from the back of the grip module. I contacted customer service at Sig, they asked for photos....and after I sent the pics, they were completely perplexed. Allegedly. I'm shipping it to them today at their expense.

    • @TXSuburbanHomestead
      @TXSuburbanHomestead  Před 6 lety

      I had no problem shipping it back to them. A little update: It's been a while now & I've run a couple thousand rounds through it & it's working really well. Only had 1 issue & it was from a dead primer. Thanks for watching & good luck.

    I too, had a problem. It came back from the "upgrade", as they call it, I took the slide off to look at the work, put it back together and the mag would not go all the way in. Rack slide violently a few times, and mag went in. Works till I take slide off again, then same deal with mag. Talked to Customer Service. They seem to think it's something to do with mag safety sticking. I didn't know there was one. The take down level is hard to move. They said to send it back...again. Quote of 4 to 6 weeks turn around, but I'm sure it will be much less.

      Thanks for asking. Hopefully I can help. I went back to my dealer and they helped me send it in. I still have the original case, but honestly I don't know that it should matter. I also reached out to Sig and they were VERY responsive, so I'd recommend that route too.
      Hope this helps!

    Probably not the cause. I just got my p320 rx compact a couple days ago. Haven't had time to check it out yet. Now I'm concerned it won't assemble correctly 😓..... can't wait to see what happens. Maybe call & ask for an explanation "note" be placed in when completed ?

      I posed a second video just focusing on the disconnector issue. In some of the comment chains another viewer and I were discussing that very thing! I spoke with them and they were noncommittal over the phone. I know they probably won't send a note of any kind, but it sure would be nice.

      Thanks for the tip. I've tried everything. There seems to be a sticking where it won't go down all the time. Even then, it is still really difficult. Is it possible letting the slide slam fwd on an empty chamber could have damaged something ? I was told that's a no-no 20+ yrs ago but not sure about with newer pistols. Good luck. Subscribed.

    • @TXSuburbanHomestead
      @TXSuburbanHomestead  Před 6 lety

      I don't know; that's a good suggestion. It's something I've never avoided in the past with any of my other firearms. From everything I can see it's an issue where the disconnector comes up when the slide is removed and never goes back down. Before I sent if off, it was butter smooth all the time and one of the best pistols I'd ever used.
      Thanks for the subscription. I contacted Sig and they wanted it back. I'll post another update once I get it back from them.

  • @bikeracerdude
    @bikeracerdude Před 6 lety +1

    *I'm not seeing any problems with the Sig, but you didn't push the TDLever all the way the first time (hard to tell the second time because you have the TDLever away from the lens where we can't see it). One just needs to push the disconnector down before pushing the slide back for reassembly.*

    • @TXSuburbanHomestead
      @TXSuburbanHomestead  Před 6 lety +1

      Thanks. I guess I haven't seen anything about there being a need to do anything to the disconnector on the upgraded unit. I've watched videos from Sig and they never mention it; they even just pull the slide back on like it used to go. I'll give it a try sometime.

    • @bikeracerdude
      @bikeracerdude Před 6 lety +1

    If you fail to use the slide stop when replacing the slide your P320 turns into a brick. It will not accept a mag. and the trigger does not function, no matter how many times you rack the slide. You have to push the slide lock up and then the pistol will function. Mine also has failure of the slide to return to full battery at times.( weak slide return spring?) I have carried a Sig 220 DAK for a lot of years with not one complaint. My P320 is going back to Sig. If they cannot get it to real Sig standards, mine will be given away on a new Glock. My Sig 1911 will be my last Sig purchase.

    • @TXSuburbanHomestead
      @TXSuburbanHomestead  Před 6 lety

      I've got a follow-up video if you're interested. I sent it back to the factory and now the disconnector drops so I can replace the slide. It functions well now after the return trip. Based on my experience, I'd recommend sending it back to see what the gun shop can do for you. Mine's running well again now after the return trip.

  • @carrieefh1296
    @carrieefh1296 Před 4 lety

    My reassembly issues are related to the slide lock, it won't engage at all and even if I get the slide on and flip the take down switch back into place....there's some sort of safety in place that won't allow the magazine to be loaded.

  • @Texasoutback
    @Texasoutback Před 6 lety

    You are rolling the disassembly pin to far from what it looks like

    • @TXSuburbanHomestead
      @TXSuburbanHomestead  Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the tip, but that really doesn't make a difference. The disconnector wouldn't drop. I sent it back to Sig a second time and they fixed the issue. Others have mentioned the rotation fo the takedown lever, but before the issue and now after, I can go anywhere from parallel to past and it doesn't really matter. I've got another follow-up video on the final product if you'd like to take a look. Thanks again for watching & taking the time to comment.

      Normally I'd agree, but sometimes you've just got to jump in the pool so to speak. When I bought this almost 3 years ago, I never thought it would end up like this. They were still on the Gen 1 M&P & VP9, and I'm just not a Glock guy. I could have easily gone with a 1911, but the budget just didn't allow....
