    You can say what you want about Jack Russell. There's more going on than meets the eye. Trying to hang everything on Jack Russell regarding the Station fire is absurd. The owners installed cheap foam on their walls and ceiling. It was not fire proof. The fire marshall did an inspection, didn't even notice the foam. There was not a sprinkler system installed. Pyro was used in the Station previously. There was no licensing or a professional regarding the pyro. The Station did not even have a working fire extinguisher. The Station layout of the club was really bad. Alternate exit doors were chained shut. People were trying to get out the way they came in, down a narrow pathway to double doors and a railing around. The club was way over occupancy. That foam went up in flames so quickly, people only had 1.5 minutes to get out. The tour manager admitted fault and went to jail. The Derderian brothers, well one I think, went to jail. No one expected this fire to spread as quickly as it did. I'm sure most people thought oh someone will put it out and everything would be fine.
    I think in this interview, Jack Russell is very humble. He had friends die in this fire. This interviewer was very insensitive. Jack said he didn't want to talk about the fire and the DJ keeps hammering him. This fire was horrific. 100 dead and so many more burned badly.

If Jack Russell doesn't want to talk about it, the Deejay should respect that.That's all Great White will be remembered for in New England and Jack Russell knows that. No one knows what they would do in an awful situation like that. That building with no sprinkler system, the overcapacity of the people, not enough exists, etc, it was a tragic nightmare waiting to happen. RIP to all the victims and their families! 🙏🏻

    I feel sorry for those that lost loved ones in the fire but blaming Jack is ridiculous. Jack is a performer an artist you can not hold him responsible for the club owners cutting corners, the safety inspector passing a clearly unsafe facility. Performers show up and perform unless you can prove to me that Jack new of the fire Hazzard and directed others to set up the pyrotechnics regardless of the fire risk I see no way to blame him. Again I understand the anger of what Ning to hold people accountable but you don't lynch a man just to make yourself fell better if he has no culpability.

      Jack brought pyros into a small neighborhood bar. He was the 1 PERSON in that entire place who has WON A GRAMMY, played stadiums, 30 years in the business!!!! He has no responsibility at all? Really???? WE HAVE NEVER SAID HE HAS ALL THE RESPONSIBILITY BUT HE CERTAINLY SHOULD TAKE SOME OF IT!!!! ....and he never has!!! What about his fans???!!! What about his guitarist!!!??? As long as he is happy out there in LA, who cares about is here???!!!
      Have you ever seen the video?? He is NO WHERE to be seen!!! You can see his band manager pulling fire hoses but NO JACK!!! He ran scared across the street while calling his wife about his list band equipment while his guitarist was burning to death with his pregnant wife at home!!!!
      Jack Russell is the biggest coward piece of crap there is out there because of his actions AFTER the fire! THAT he will always have to live with, and that is a very heavy burden he put on himself! He could have been a hero to us with his "celebrity" status but he is a coward. Jack seems like a kindhearted guy. I admit that I used to think that he had responsibility for the Station fire. I've read a lot about it, and changed my belief since. The Station owners knew that they were not set up for pyro-technical shows, due to the foam all over the walls, but they wanted a bigger name like Great White, but Great White had previously played venues that didn't permit fireworks, and they were fine with that. I do feel bad for the band's manager.

    • @nitro_001newman2
      @nitro_001newman2 Před 2 lety

      @@josephhodge5387First of all Jack had nothing to do with that fire, where the pyrotechnic guy did. He doesn’t get involved in those decisions, that’s his manager that works it out with the club owners. Second, Jack isn’t a firefighter, nor does he have any skills relating to it. He’s usually in poor health, and not counting the fire, is lucky to still be alive. All the band members were escorted out the door by security to the bus. The guitar player tried to help some people, and guess what happened to him. Don’t expect you rockstars to be heroes. Some people go above & beyond, but I’m not going to criticize a person for not doing so, when they’re just trying to survive themselves. If he would have tried to rescue someone, he most likely would have been another casualty in the fire also. This isn’t like the movies, where the rescues are a success almost all the time. I know my first thought would be surviving, by getting out of the building as quick as possible. Only if I had a family member or friend, would I think about helping them get out with me. That’s really how most people would go about it.

The fault was all on the bar and the town, and the people who allowed the pirotech stuff. Also, exceeding the allowed amount of people in the bar. That place was engulfed in less than one minute. Nobody was able to do anything there. The whole building was a fire hazard. I believe a band member died as well? Such a horrible helpless tragedy

    Oh how in this politically correct society we must spend so much effort to be correct. Here's just another opinion. That's a sad tragedy what happened that night. But folks it's not Jack to put this on. Way too many violations occured. What's really sad is that some of it is known. When the foam company supplied that club it's ceiling they knew it was highly flammable. 1st stupidity. 2nd the club owners operated a place without a sprinkler system. 2 illegal matters. 3rd the amount of attendance exceeded beyond safety. How can you place all of that on a musician? The man has willingly appologized. Showed remorse. Offered to raise money and give every penny to that town. He has the courage to continue playing music and won't hide from anyone asking about what happened. If he knew of the Pyro tects or not he's a singer. Claimed professionals should know what's safe to spray and what isnt. Club owners who willingly allow it without a sprinkler? Well that's just plain stupid. You can feel as you want it's your right, but the blame went completely correct. I'm sorry for the families. That is sad. The town needs to hold accountability for being slack over the safety of there establishments. A nightclub without a sprinkler system is a pretty huge violation. Blame them. Not the band. Lastly, I haven't seen any willingness of the manager or club owners to be interviewed. Give Jack a break! Shit

      Everyone's opinion is fact even though they haven't taken the little bit of time to understand everything you just stated. I'm a working musician, believe me club owners and/or promoters do not give a single fuck about safety. They care ONLY about ticket sales and bar sales. I have multiple generations of firefighters in my family. My Grandfather was fire chief, my uncle is currently chief and my other uncles is a training officer. My point is I've grown up with fire safety as a number one concern and club owners and promoters do NOT give this a thought. All that matters is profit. Jack also stated in that interview with that Steele chic that in R.I. Public officials can't be indicted for negligence and that's a real problem.....

      +Matt McVey Also Jack says a prayer every night on stage for the victims and their families. Jack lost friends as well, he has to live everyday with this. But you know everyone on the internet gets to judge whatever, whenever and however they want because they remain pretty anonymous. Listen to Jesse from the eagles of death metal about the bataclan security or the lack there of. That's a tragedy that's seems like a set up, a false flag. But you know I don't expect anyone else that's trashing this dude who they don't have a clue about or what he lives with everyday. They don't want to apply logic, they just want to place blame with little to no research on the subject. The age of the narcissistic punks who take no blame and want everything handed to them all the while passing judgment on anyone or anything they disagree with.

      +Matt McVey Well said Matt I agree. I no longer play in bands or do any shows. I'm probably not alone in this but I spent many many devoted hours to metal. Only by the time I reached a level I was really excited about in my skill it all changed. I'm not knocking Nirvana and all those bands that followed but I just couldn't feel it man. I'm not close-minded I just hated playing dream theater, floyd, Priest, Rainbow, lots of hair bands, 1ST 4 album Metallica and someone always wanted Nirvana. Or Green Day. I grew disgusted and I began to feel insulted. My point? Dude I gave up the life due to security and the fact that audiences had grown so aggressive and violent it just wasn't fun anymore. Be safe. Hope you have a prosperous carreer. Yeah man, if people only knew what it's like to entertain. The demand! Thanks for your reply.

    can't say it's Jack's fault - I'm not a big fan of Great White but that's here nor there- that club should have never been able to operate in the condition it was in [based on what I've read]. Then there's the other side of the story- who ever lit the fuse [and it wasn't Jack] may have wanted to look at the venue and think , hmmmm, "maybe this isn't a good place to set off pyro technics. There's a low ceiling , too small a room, and wayyyyyyyy too many people inside and not enough Fire exits. the last things mentioned should [in my opinion] should be something the Pyro Tech should analyze before going on with it. So sorry about your friends, and everyone who lost loved ones. That said, Jack Russell didn’t sell the tickets, that would be the club, and its owners. The true blame, if it’s even remotely necessary, would be the fire Marshall who allowed the capacity increase, completely ignored testing the foam, and with a capacity of that size, they should have had a sprinkler system, even IF the building was grandfathered in and wasn’t required. Where were the fire extinguishers? Why were there so few exits for a club with a capacity of 400+? The entire venue was a perfect recipe for disaster. And in many things I’ve watched and read, pyrotechnics were not a deal breaker for the band to play. The station was owned and operated by greed, and their bottom line was #1, everything in between #2, and safety of patrons was unfortunately last and completely ignored.
