Today we are making split tail colors. These are challenging colors to make, but the effects turn out really nice!
Depending on what type of bait mold you have, making split colors can be easy, or difficult. Always clean your molds often to ensure a smooth surface when removing the baits from the molds. As always, use caution when making your own plastics, the plastisol gets very hot and is under pressure when inside the injectors. Gloves and eyewear is recommended when using hand injection. Happy bait making!

*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
Great video again Chris. Really cool to see how you do the split color tail baits. Shared it on facebook.

Love the vids btw just got into watching it channel the fast couple weeks after I started making my own hardbaits. Best of luck with ur business man
You should do giveaways with all the messed up baits or ones that didn't turn out like if you agree
Dude great idea! I'd love to win some wacky worms or frog swimbaits. Hell who am I kidding I'd use anything Chris sent and make a video w them!

Awesome video.
basscatlildave thank you very much
This is a cool video
How long do you let your baits set before splitting the molds. I've yet to do my first pour but trying to learn as much as I can. Loved your video.
These baits are soooo sick
Tyler Gibson Outdoor Adventures Thanks..split colors are awesome..I have a lot of confidence with them
pretty dope. for the vertical molds with the tails at the bottom, you could mark the injecting handling down rod with a marker so you know how much red you filled in for the tails, and then let they cure and then filled it in with your green. This will cut down time drastically instead of having to cut it. But since the video came out in 2018, I am wasting my time. :)
Great video I will try this out soon I want to do craws with orange claws and motor oil body
Question, do you only do orders now and no retail?
Love the colors, do you sell your baits online?
I have a question for you, will the double injection work the same way if I use it on molds that I make myself?
I have just recived an order of a good cross-section of your baits, they are prime time baits! Expect pics of BIG FISH! Thanks and keep it up!
slipstream247 awesome!! What all did you order from me?
It was Order: #957. Boom Shad: Green Pumpkin, Boom Shad: Nuclear Panfish, Boom Shad: Pearl White, Boom Shad: Mint Chocolate Chip, Florida Frog: Watermelon Red, Florida Frog: St. Patty's Day! They are awesome Brother!
slipstream247 oh okay yeah we did that one last week..glad you like them. Keep me posted on any fish catches!
My next order will be worms and creatures! i will be sure to send some pics!
slipstream247 sounds good
So the cut offs do u remelt to reuse or is it not usable? What do u have in the bath where u put your lures u finish
Yes you can re-melt any plastic and reuse it for something else and the bath is just cold water
You should make a video how to get started pouring soft plastic baits
Thinking about starting to do my own plastics. When doing split color, can you pour just enough of the tail color to fill it then cut off excess? Seems you could save a lot of waste.
Not really, you have to fill the mold all the way in order to get the pressures correct to fill all the extremities
This guy is so underrated
I appreciate it man.

Where did you buy those molding plate? I hope they have 7” big hammer swimbait.
My molds come from several sources..some are my custom designs as well.
Вот это шикарно
Hi friend, which plastic did you use?
Ty for your help.:)
What do you do with the other part of the plastic that you broke off?
Carson Scott I usually set all leftover plastic to the side and then I will remelt it and make stuff for my own use when I run low
where did you get that craw mold
This is great! I want to do the same myself! But I gotta say, you lost some cool points being a pats fan (Steeler nation) lol jk, but this is awesome. What are costs for the plastisol used to make the baits? Thanks in advance for your help and GO STEELERS!
Michael Perez Plastisol is not cheap..I buy it by the 55 gallon drum, so I'm getting it for probably $12-13 per gallon. And yeah been a Pats fan since 2011..I really wanted the Patriots to get #6 so we could equal the Steelers haha.
World's Worst Fishing hahaha! Right on, I’m just goofing with ya buddy. Do they sell it in single gallons?
World's Worst Fishing I just looked at your website, I am very impressed with your work! I might be putting in an order next week when I get paid.
Michael Perez yes most places sell by the gallon and 5 gallon
Michael Perez thanks man..and I'll be happy to send some Baits your way
Can you buy molds? Are there "kits" to help you get started?

Is the dead on plastisol worth it for beginner small batch?
It's worth it especially for beginners since it's easy to work with and you don't have to fight bubbles and scorching
I see a lot of guys heat the plastisol first and then add the color. Does it really matter if you add before or after heating?
That's how I do it now and I do find it to be the better way
Where did you purchase the injector with the handle like that?
Unfortunately those have long been discontinued
Gud lore
Where did your craw mold come from? I’m looking for a mold like that and can’t find one anywhere.
its from basstackle
Found it at btsmolds.com
Where do you buy all your plastic/dye
This is so fucking cool man I need to invest because u save more money in the long run and get colors you can’t buy u can’t get a green like that anywhere
Is it possible just to dip the tails or something in some sort of dye? Or does that not really work well?
Spike it makes dyes that work really well
World's Worst Fishing awesome, I’m really considering starting to do some of my own soft plastics, and trying to check everything out.
I’m new to lure making and I can’t seem to get my tails to bond can you please give me some advice thank you in advanced 🙏
are you using an open pour mold? If so I've found you need to keep both at a hot temperature and I put the mold in the microwave after pouring the tails and reheating
Where did you get that swimbait mold from?
Stephen Selph custom mold that I designed and had built.
Where do you get your custom bait bags
Carter See China..I think the company I used is gone so idk a good place anymore..you have to order thousands at a time though so it's expensive
Please do this once a week! I’m looking into doing this myself as well. Just to catch one on my creation.
FCS Channel I'll try man..making the videos take several hours..if I can get time every week I'd like to push out more videos for sure
I would be interested in purchasing custom senkos.
Can you make three or four different colours
How long did you wait for them to cool
I let my Plastics cure for 24 hours
What size is your injector?
Do you ever have a problem with the plastics bonding. I have done this and the tails are pulling off
Yes...shoot the second color very hot and hold pressure..it will never be as strong as normal...but if you cure them for several days they should be usable.
I was shoot the tails at 320 at 15 pounds of pressure. I am using the Jacobs injection machine. I will try going to 335 to 340. Any idea on the temp
Love your videos Man U helped me out with my soft plastic company to I use lure craft materials and also love the videos and what’s your gmail if I have any questions I need to ask I will let u know on there but keep up the great work
Noah Playz3 glad you like the videos..please share them on Facebook haha I'm doing a raffle for people who share this video..you can email me worldsworstfishing@gmail.com
World's Worst Fishing ok thx don’t have face book but I will share it on Instagram
Where did you get your swimbait and fluke molds at?
Jakota Harris Designed my swimbait myself and the Fluke came from Del Mart I think.. I don't think he makes molds anymore however..not sure
World's Worst Fishing Who did you get to make your swimbait since its custom?
Jakota Harris I think high rock did that one..it's been a while
World's Worst Fishing thanks. Always look forward to your videos
Where did you get your molds?
TONS of places..refer to my guide video.

The One The Only just go to spike its website and you will find pretty much everything.. my molds came from all over..DYOR for molds..they are expensive items.
World's Worst Fishing thank you

Trying to start first, Where to buy what ? , can you take it ? thanks
xiaojie Yang I would join a forum called tackle underground if I was just getting started..you will find all the info you need to get started making plastics.
I ordered a mold I still have to get me a injector
How much do these thing s cost.
what are the name of the molds, where can i buy
rtaylor78828@gmail.com
Sorry to bother you again, I went on the quick tip video and I watched it and I did it the same way in the video and I use the stick temp at 350F and I use a tech gun at 350F, And my swimbait mode still comes out gooey, but I use the swimbait jerk bait blend it wasn't doing that before that's what I don't understand if you're not that busy please get back at me thank you
Where can i buy those materials..
Just do a search for soft plastic bait materials..you'll find hundreds of molds and colors etc.
where are you located ask - Albany is like 30 mins north of me
im in tallahassee
@@WorldsWorstFishing I'm in Cairo
@@Humptyhump_ right up the road from me
Where do buy your molds?
Watch my complete guide video, I list all of the mold makers with links in the description
i seen a web site that had the tails mold at lure craft
yep you can get tail molds and do it that way too
@@WorldsWorstFishing have you tried it, is it worth it or am I out 100$. I did some crawls the way u showed by cutting em to make different color arms and I'm am very happy. Please keep the tips coming
How much plastic does your injector hold
Jake Pippen I think it is 8 or 9 oz
do you sell any of those lures
i do custom orders
Albany ga here
hows the fishing on lake cheehaw? always wanted to come try it
Right now not so good. The amount of rain we've had has it high and filthy. I've gotten skunked each time I've gone. I hoping mid month it will straighten out
If only they made molds that were just the tail sections
Isn’t this color called avacado r something by zoom
Where do you buy you molds at
andrew liebegott I have bought molds from pretty much every fishing mold maker..just do a search and pick ones that you like..they aren't hard to find
Ok thanks like what do you think are the best ones
andrew liebegott tbh they are all equal from a quality standpoint..they don't break and the baits turn out good.. it's really just what you can afford and what shapes you like
Ok thanks
Do I need a vacuum chamber to make my own plastic baits ?
Anglers & Antlers tv No..but it helps for air bubbles
World's Worst Fishing ok thanks wheres the best place to order materials from?
like for everything? or just a vaccum chamber?
World's Worst Fishing for everything like plastics , colors , glitters , molds , injectors, vacuum chamber and so on
Anglers & Antlers tv Try Dead On Plastix for Plastisol & Colorants, basstackle and angling AI for molds.. lurecraft for glitter and scent..just look around.. Lureworks also makes excellent colors and powders..and their Plastisol is a good value.
Love from Langkawi Island, Malaysia ❤
Wow! Glad to have you as a viewer!
Is it economically feasible to make your own soft baits?
What is your guesstimate of the cost of the materials in each of theses baits?
you will lose money for years imo...BUT, eventually after the initial overhead of getting all this stuff is absorbed you will save. If you can limit your number of molds and colors etc....you will break even sooner
@@WorldsWorstFishing Do you still make custom baits on request?
Do you tube guys get paid for subscribers or for likes? I’m subscribed, but sometimes I forget to like them. I wanna help my youtubers out!! I think junebug with either pink or chartreuse tails would be awesome!
we get paid by views...you get paid a small rate per thousand views.
why is the channel called "World's Worst Fishing"?? Are you a bad fisherman but just love making lures?
Ed Loki yep that's pretty much it haha
I have never scorched a lower in my life it's not the colors it's the plastic I use a good plastic you can heat for 384 100゚ it will not scorch
Good plastic withstands heat better...this older video is using a cheaper plastic.
They look like gummy worms
Are u from Ohio
I'm in Florida, born here too
lol use less colour ffs, 3 drops is enough and you only need to vacuum after you pour hot pvc into mold,, place the mold in the vacuum and draw the air while in the mold.
You copied my logo!!!😡
Cam A. Incorrect..I designed my fish-hook logo in 2011 and trademarked it in 2011..you're using a version of it that you probably got off Google images along with a bunch of others who have stolen my image.
World's Worst Fishing oh my bad great vid
Good videos but way too long
The more Complicated a colorway gets, the longer it takes to show it on film.. thanks for watching the video.
