The pearlex powders are great, the duo and inference powders are my favorite , but I also use lots of silver and gold . A side benefit the small container powders which I think are finer can be mixed with pledge or air brush medium and used to paint hard baits. At some point I will mix it with clear hot dip power. I would love florescent mica colors.

If the plastic is 350degrees and you drop water in it(water boils at 212 degrees), the water boils instantly splashing the hot plastic on your tender face. He was about as cautious as I'd have been.

Well to that mix I added 1/4 Tbs of apple green pearl powder, and an 1/8 Tbs of Duo Blue-Green!
Color is amazing and would be awesome to make frogs with, I'm making my twin tail grubs, that I swim top water called Chub Grubs!

These powders are used for color shift. Golden artist colors sells a whole line of Interference colors in liquid form. I use them on my hand painted crankbaits. I am sure that they will work on your larger baits if you clear dip them. HINT: all the craft stores offer coupons that take 40-50% off of one item. I go in and buy one item every time I am near a store.

Love your videos. Found you via Marling Baits. I love the fact that you are a musician as well. I am not the only musician that is a fishing nut! LoL. Give me a link to your band so I can check you guys out, please. Mine is The Red Handed Band if you want to check us out. Keep up the good work and thanks for posting quality content!

That colored sand I actually used as a sinking additive and it added more color to my baits serves twopl purposes also some of this big flakes can add some weight to. I use those dys all the time and supplies from hobby lobby work great if you know what to get it's how I started in bait making. It only takes a drop of that alumi Brite dye to make a batch when I saw you put like ten drops or so in I was like he messed up like I did. I make a 6 inch eel that is clear with black and gold flake and yellow chartrose tail for speckled trout fishing and man I kill em every where I go on any bank pier flats on a boat where water is more then 8 feet and off shore I hammer 20in plus trout every time using a 3/8 jig head and a spinning reel and bounce off bottom jigging up and down andimit out in 40 minutes all the time with 20-27 inch trout and I make my own bass baits and have lots of success making my own colors. Making baits is fun you can use pretty much what ever you want and what colors and combos you want endless possibilities just mix random colors of flakes and do double and triple colors who cares if it works. I think you should have done the baby powder and rose scent instead of garlic make it 100 percent hobby lobby bait then haha

If you want something heavier than salt, use barytes, barium sulphate. If you want to try it ask a well-driller.

Walmart flake isn’t pretty good too. It holds up good even at 400 (probably same stuff as hobby lobby) after several reheats you have to add a little more if it gets really hot.
