I did some work at Martin's home in Norfolk during my last year of my apprenticeship - He made us a cups of tea and had a chat with us, truly is a very humble, kind man in person.
Senna took the human being to the limit of speed, of the emotional, of the celebration of Formula 1. Senna became a citizen of the world. Thank you for reminding us Senna. Regards from Brazil.
You can't not like Martin mind he's a class act, an integral member of the sky sports f1 team.
He's a bit pretentious towards the drivers, as he have never had one lap of leading position during his F1 career. So it is possible to not like him.
Fair enough that's your opinion.
Hate the guy.. He just repeats himself every race and is irrelevant,Just like Murray in his later years, just with less personality . He also thinks he is one of the greats when in reality he is slow and nothing special. Thank god for Channel 4 coverage otherwise I would not watch it Sky. The whole team seem narcissistic and just trying to copy the BBC's style but doing it badly with so much cringe. Also have you seen how tight the male presenters trouser are...lol Also Liberty Media is ruining F1 turning it more like indie car with annoying noises straight out of ridge racer.
Lee Fall yeah Murray was old at least 🤷🏻♂️
@@FEARYOYOYO Doesn't he hold the record for number of GP's without leading a lap or something? I would much prefer to hear him talk about his LeMans efforts and sports cars as he was very good in those..
Martin is able to articulate what mere mortals could only dream about. Maybe his F1 career didn't reach the heights that he hoped for, but he was quick and Sports Car WC too so certainly qualified to tell us what it's like. Finally, the respect with which he's held in the paddock is reflected in the access and cars he gets to drive for our collective pleasure. Eloquent, passionate and a consummate professional. Thank you Martin.
Legendary man, easy to forget he was one of Sennas biggest rivals in the junior categories.
I'm so glad Bernie isn't in charge of the sport any more. An absolute rat of a man. Liberty are looking after the sport a lot better now and I'm excited to see these new rules and regulations in 2021/22
If not only for his accident back 1984. He could have battled Senna head to head
Barry Herron yes, people always need to remember that Martin Brundle is the only driver who could beat Ayrton Senna in Formula 3
Read this in Martin's voice and it's even better!
The part that hit hard the most was when Martin said "There's Senna behind me, Haven't said that in a while". I know it was just glossed over in this video but man the feels
Memories of British F3 races must have come back.
Damon Hill is such a humble guy, respect
He's a lovely bloke too, met him back in 1993 at Silverstone and a year later during testing with DC, quite shy and quiet but very genuine. We were all gutted for him when his engine blew though in 93; especially as we all thought it was Prost and we cheered lol
Come to think of it I was massively lucky to meet quite a few F1 drivers, Alain Prost, JJ Lehto, Johnny Herbert especially being very nice with us fans. Even saw Senna in the distance walking about doing his thing, awfully sad knowing that was his last Silverstone race in hindsight.
Martin at 60 yrs: driving all legendary cars like Brm, senna's McLaren and Ferrari
25 yr old me having 60 yr old backpain on couch: 🤯
Hope that back is feeling better now. I was 25 when I started having major problems, look after it, it is truly miserable if it gets really bad.
You say you're 25 im already having them and im 16 lol
I’m 13 and I have huge back pains and growth spurts
Get your act together boys im 39 and been taking opiates for a decade, you don't wanna go on this road i guarantee it.
Bringing Senna to drive the cars was the smartest and most endearing thing, Martin. Thank-you.
Not sure if this was sarcastic in a sense, not a offensive way, but umm Ayrton Senna died in 1994 unfortunately
@Spiffy Tuba he is talking about Bruno senna
@@elirussell1796 Oh that makes sense, thanks for clarifying lol
"Hopefully in 50 years somebody's pounding around here remembering the great Ayrton Senna."
They will sir. Thank you for this.
Ohh i will till my last breath
❤❤🕊
“Ok, come to my farm in Brazil! I’ll send the helicopter” wow 🤩
Compared to other countries, Brazil is one of the cheapest places to have a helicopter and a bunch of employees earning a minimum wage. Besides the government does not charge high taxes to the rich or do you think the Bernie is there for what? a woman? hahaha
The bit with Ecclestone was great. I really loved seeing that side of him because of the way media portrays him. I honestly found that very refreshing.
That was my favorite part. Very interesting questions - no softballs - friendly banter between two old friends. Had a good chuckle at Bernie’s candor. I really wish that Martin interviewed him just a little longer, though. Hopefully he does an exclusive on BE before it’s too late.
People get pissed cause he made billions while building a billion dollar company.
27:41
Martin: “is that rain?”
In my head: “IS THAT GLOCK?!”
As a young kids at age of 8 or 9, I used to ride my bicycle for about 10-12 min, just to pass in front of Senna's house in northern part of Sao Paulo on the neighborhood of Tremembé - Horto Florestal, to take a pic on the gap of the black metal gates to see Senna's cars. I spotted once, his beautiful black Acura NSX presented by Honda.
Senna was the best. At first I hated him, but one day it rained, and then he started lapping people. I was sold till the day he died. What an inspiring pilot and person. There will be no other like him. Hamilton reminds me of him, but times have changed, the cars have changed. Brundle was spot on, he drove with his heart.
Martin is the senna of F1 TV, his voice is alrealdy F1 mark.
No one will ever be better than Ayrton Senna...He's onboard footage is unbelievable
“Everyone loves Spa”
Perez and Ocon, I fear no man, but that thing, it scares me
I'd love to drive Spa-Francochamps in a Dallara F3, even more so the old course.
1:23 in a Mercedes C9 franco Deschamps forza 7 live game play
Beautiful ending with Ayrton smile !!!
I love Rachel and Natalie's episodes for obvious reasons. But as a F1 and motor-sport fan, and particularly, a Senna fan, I really enjoy listening to and watching Brundle every single time!
Martins passion and emotion as he is finishing up his day in the Ferrari really hits… you can tell how much that means to him
Good documentary, Bernie is a funny guy with his unique answers.
Martin in Ayrton's car is perfect! Loved this video, more please ...
When the title said “Senna” I never clicked so fast in my life lol
That Lotus! Goosebumps.
Factory051 agreed!
To see Damon and Bruno driving Ayrton's cars is a gift. I think Ayrton was happy for them and had fun too. And he would have loved to drive with them. ♥️
Ayrton will not be forgotten in 50 years' time. His aura will not fade. His sun will always shine. ♥️
It hurts just as much as it did thirty years ago. As if it were yesterday.
I will always miss him and love him in my heart.♥️
Fly free, beautiful soul Ayrton. ♥️🙏🕯🕊
Martin is a national (And International) treasure. Thanks a lot.
22:16 the face of Bernie when he sees Martin smelling the coffee LOL
Saved the best for the last! Ayrton Senna, sempre!
Martin is just the best, it was great watching him race "live" in Monaco yesterday. What an Icon of F1
I still can't believe the control he has, at his age. Still, a great driver at heart!
Thank you for that, emotional almost 😊 around the last part with Senna’s cars. You three (Bruno, Damon and Martin) were genuinely enjoying yourselves and so much fun for sure. Too awesome 👏🏻
Senna drove from his head as well but didn’t had to think about it as it came naturally for him to be beyond the limit. Pity that Martin didn’t ask Bernie why did he spend £5mil to buy Senna’s 1993 car if he considers Prost better. At the same time he is neglecting Senna as the goat but than he spends fortune for his car. That is a Paradox.
5 mil is pocket change for him
37:18 instant tears came out. Nice work editor.
Martin is a legend.
Thank you so much Sky, especially for allowing it to be watched outside the UK.
Brundle, Herbert, Di Resta, Davidson. All underrated drivers if you really look at their careers!
Brundle got podiums and Herbert won 3 races. I wouldn't call any drivers in Formula 1 underrated. Many had won in their lower categories before moving up. To be racing in the best motor racing series, they cannot be slouches.
I remember Johnny in the Jag back in 2000 at Monaco. Every lap he came out of Sainte-Devote with a car that just would twitch violently to the point where I always thought he was going to smash the back end of it in the wall but lap after lap he kept it together somehow and I just had immense respect for him after that race.
@@heliumtrophy I was there in Sepang at that same year in 2000 when Herbert's Jaguar slammed into the heavy braking corner on the speedy part of the track because the suspension failed.
Those morons think it is easy to drive these beasts should stop playing video games and finding out how even difficult it is to drive a go kart competitively.
bitter loser Di Resta is a little twit
@@heliumtrophy For the record: Herbert had no power steering so he drove the car like in the old days. The drift is not a result of carrying too much speed but caused by little wheel spin on purpose. It can take some load off the driver's arms.
Martin Brundle can you pls bring all the old school drivers and make a big reunion to remember the Greatest Ayrton Senna.
That E-Type is amazing .. and the plate 99MB... wow
I love how depressed Brundle is when he has to get out of the Ferrari.
Fantastic camera angles..!!! Fiorano and Monza EPIC tracks.. RIP Ayrton
Lawnmower racing with Kimi was fun too.
Brundle + Walker remains the greatest sports commentary duo of all-time. Any sport. NFL, Football, NHL, NBA, Indy, WRC, MLB, Cricket, Tennis, you name it, nobody had the flair, expertise, professionalism and entertainment quality of those two.
Martin wants to relive all our childhood fantasies and we love watching him. Thanks for everything you do Martin. A true fan of his own sport 👍
It's been a lifetime dream to drive a car (any car, road or race) that has been driven by Senna. My all time hero, I named both my daughters after him.....Annes and Notrya.
Gänsehaut. Martin Brundle, wohl DER F1 Experte schlechthin. Ich kenne keinen besseren. Ich könnte ihm den ganzen Tag zuhören. Keiner verbindet die Geschichte der Formel 1 mit der heutigen besser als er. Danke für diese tollen Momente. :)
Awesome how Martin's capable of driving F1 cars from any era without any worrys! No ego to him, seems like the perfect bloke to be taking us around in these. Cheers.
Ayrton Senna is a legend and so are you Martin!
Outstanding piece, absolutely loved it - thanks to Sky Sports F1 and more importantly Martin Brundle for such an excellent watch, we love you MB!
I am a huge supporter of Martin Brundle and JHerbert in F1. It a shame politics took over. Love the videos. Martin, you are the best!, as with Murray Walker in commentating.
What happened, could you explain. I thought they were friends?
?
What politics do you mean?
Ughh, what???
Politics took over what?
Man I love the Brundle....such a God of this Sport...and a gentleman.
My word is my bond. That's how you do business.
senna forever
One of the best vids I've watched in a while and I watch a lot. That Lotus of Senna's is the most beautiful race car ever in my books.
Martin Brundle is a treasure to the F1 community. He's easily the best part of Sky Sports' F1 coverage.
They've muzzled him.
Despite all the negative stuff I still really like Bernie, he is absolutely one of a kind and epitomises the drive of people in F1 in the earlier years. I also love that (aside from his charity work) he rescues and has such a soft spot for vulnerable animals - that makes him a good person in my book.
What a great video I’m 23 and I find myself just in awe of the history of this sport
I really like Martin Brundle a LOT. He is 'everyman', but with two super powers: Humility and talent. That's the British ideal.
Best openings to an interview:
1. "You're a dictator, aren't you?"
2. "Why are you gae?"
The thank you Martin, what memories, priceless.
FANTASTIC!!!
Mr.Brundle ,you is a incredible MAN.
Thank you for your happiness in the cockpit.Shake our soul.Old and new cars togheter.
The Senna's friendship jumping in your eyes.
Beatyfull Interview about mr.Ecclestone.👏👏👏👏
This is as close to ayrton senna as we can get now. Beautiful!
I still remember the days with Senna, Mansel and Prost like it was yesterday.
Even to this day i can just watch some of those races in silence, just in owe of there skills and passion for the sport.
Ty for this video of great memories, pieces of history that should never be forgotten
Martin smelling coffee from Fabiana's hands, Bernie jumps into picture with death stare and grin😂😂😂 hilarious
Senna the *BOSS*
Thanks Martin , Its just what i needed during lockdown to cheer me up .. Mega short film . Please keep more of this coming . Kind Regards Robbie
God I love Bernie, a man after my own heart.
May 1st 2022, Ayrton we will remember you forever. Martin, thank you very much.
What a class guy. Great piece.
This was fun! Bernie is cool. I love Ayrton Senna forever.
By all rights we should have Martin and Senna as the commentators of the modern formula show
13:36 with CC turned on. Also it is outstanding how age hasn't diminish Martin's driving abilities
got to meet Martin at Le Mans 2001 while having a cup of tea with the Bentley boys, he was on his phone sadly so i did not get to chat as i did not want to be rude and interrupt him. But he is a fantastic commentator, he has a great way of speaking to an audience and not belittling them, he explains everything so very well.
Martin is my f1 guru.
Absolutely dedicated to giving us fans the best coverage on earth.
A gentleman and a scholar.
He drove alongside the g.o.a.t.
Thanks for everything you do for our sport.🙏
Back in the day when you could come from humble beginnings and reach F1...
You still can. Hamilton had a humble beginning
Ocon, Leclerc, Hamilton, Vettel, Bottas, Gasly, Kvyat, Ricciardo, etc.
Most of the drivers on the grid as of 2020 didn't come from some loaded rich family background.
@@sortaanonymouslaex9564 Ricciardo's family owns a company in Australia. Most of the drivers are upper middle class.
Of course Hamilton and Ocon are good examples of humble beginnings though.
@@sortaanonymouslaex9564 kvyat dad was an executive manager. Bottas family owned a business.leclercs family is in racing and lives in Monaco so they clearly had means. Etc.
These guys aren't exactly your neighbors, teaching at the local school....
@@mothaybabonnam5632 Whoops- Maybe getting mixed up. But Leclerc's family is in racing, yes, but they never had that much funding in their karting years. Leclerc had to stop karting for a while actually until Bianchi offered to help him keep going.
Loved this. Didn’t see all of the features when originally aired. Thank you!
Great job Martin!! As always
Martin seems such a great human being. Amazing
I enjoyed every second of this, thank you very much Sky, and keep Martin as long as he wants to keep doing this, he is awsome.
Amazing content! Thanks Martin for sharing these pure emotion moments!
Doesn’t matter the subject, Senna is always on the top! Number one!
One of the best interviews i've ever watched. Great job Martin.
This has been my favorite...Thanks Martin.
I must say, Meeting Bernie must be the interesting Thing that you could do as an F1 fan
It’s the best video as ever seen in this year. THANK YOU 🙏🏽
Brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable, even gave me goose bumps!
Thanks Martin, lovely watching those great moments again.
Thanks for this Martin! What a great tribute and so nice to watch. It's so good to learn about the past and these machines before I got into F1. Please keep this coming!
Thanx Martin, really put a smile on my face, thank you for you passion
Thoroughly enjoyed this!! Great segments
Really enjoyed this doc. Thanks for sharing.
That was a very beautiful vid. Love the way you touch the Era also Bernie Ecclestone Interview .Driving Senna’s F1. The most legendary fearless driver ever. Mr Martin Thank you again!!
Loved it, thank you for making the program
Martin was a very good driver and now he is a very good interviewer.
Amazing. It was amazing Martin. Thank you for bringing together wonderful characters and brilliant machines all in less than an hour. Looking forward to more episodes
Absolutely the best Video and short look back in Martins Long Career and also this content was perfect, especially the Bernie piece, thankyou Martin ...
Absolutely wonderful. Thank you very much.
I love Martin Brundle. I could listen to him all day. He is like your Father, guiding you around the trials & tribulations of Formula 1. Long may he last. AND, might I add, still is well able to handle himself behind the wheel of some immensely tricky F1 machinery.
Brilliant! Great scenery, story and drive from Martin! Cheers!
A M A Z I N G video Thx Martin for remembering the N1 in History , hope you enjoy 101 % those rides Thx !
Thank's Martin for this beautifull moment :) Ayrton for ever .. enjoy SKY !
Wow I really wnjoyed this. The excitement in Martins voice as he driving the car makes racing contageous
You are a legend Mr Brundle. Fantastic footage as always.
