    I bought the Milwaukee and while it was expensive it’s like the crown jewel of all my fuel tools. Every time I use it I’m more impressed, the blade that comes with it leaves an incredibly clean cut. Paired with the little 3D printed plug & dust collection, it has to be the cleanest saw I have in the shop. Although, I wouldn’t be upset to have a festool like yours haha

    Love to see the Makita’s (corded or cordless) kinda settled on their battery platform as it’s the best bang/buck/weight (Milk’s are just a tad more power, but more $$ generally and a good bit heavier and bulkier) Though, it’s about time for them to come out with an updated one as theirs is about the oldest out!

    Man I wish I had the money to get a track saw for myself. I love that you do videos like this! Please keep up the good work! Also, if you are pretty decent knowledgeable about epoxy stuff, could you do a video on thar sometime in the future? (Like the 'cheaper' 2 part epoxy like from Amazon versus the high end expensive stuff is there a big difference in them? Is there a big difference in the sand paper from expensive versus 'cheaper' brands? Sorry, I'm just getting into trying epoxy stuff and I have so many questions that I'd love to get an honest answer from someone trustworthy. )

    I absolutely love my 36V Makita! If price weren't an issue, I'd likely go with the Milwaukee. It has a couple more features and I like the Milwaukee ecosystem, but I've used mine pretty hard for a few years and have zero complaints (for a few hundred cheaper). I could see maybe suggesting some upgrades to Makita though. The design is getting a little long in the teeth.

    Did you test any corded ones? That usually saves some money if you don't already have the batteries and I don't think I'll ever need one when I'm not near an outlet with an extension cord. Obviously cordless is a nice convenience, but if you already have the vacuum hooked up anyway, the power cord doesn't seem like a big deal.

Will the ts 60 used with the 2mm or so scoring cut first , do just the same as the tsv saw with the scoring blade? What do you think of these saws compared to the Milwaukee? What do you see and feel using the Milwaukee rail compared with the festool rail? These rails are different in weight and section.

    As I mentioned to Ryobi after they released that dual 40 battery belt they need to do the same with their 18 line except maybe have it in 3 or 4 battery line. This way you can run their line complete through most jobs before running out of power. Also I don't understand why they can't make all of their battery powered tools with plug in also. To many one use tools and without either option I just mentioned you have to keep having to recharge or stop and grab another battery. The battery plug in option is already on some Ryobi products. IMHO Great reviews coming from your site and they are very helpful for those that don't have the money to waste on products that only work somewhat.

    When it comes to Track Saws, there certainly appears to be something for just about everyone, though they may need to venture off their current battery platforms to acquire it.😎. I haven't gotten to the point of needing a dedicated track saw yet, I prefer to stick with the Kreg Universal Track and my available circular saw.

    A lot of people say Ridgid has to be neutered by TTI so it won't compete with Milwaukee and they can maintain their "good, better, best" statuses. The Ridgid having a proprietary track is so extremely stupid and definitely gives some credibility to this hypothesis. Anyways, glad I'm team red for tools and lime green for gimmicks.

      I can change my blade on my Festool in about 15 seconds. Flip a lever, plunge, change blade. As a matter of fact Ive started switching over to Festool slowly on most my tools. Because all the little things that take time or piss me off festools fixed. That’s why they’re expensive. And time is my money.

    The Milwaukee Track Saw is also available as a "tool only" option. Just in case you don't have the need for the Packout box and more batteries. Only $399 at Home Depot.

    it would be nice to include reviews of the actual tracks themselves as some designs are far better than others, such as the Dewalt rails that connect poorly with their simple bar design that doesnt hold the tracks straight when connected together, some other brands that use cam type flat bars or others with 2 bars that are much more rigid than the dewalt one.

    The moment, and I mean the moment, that a new version of the Ryobi shows up, please I’m begging ya check that one out as soon as reasonably possible. That’s the one I want, but I want one with the articulating knife and potentially better compatible tracks.
    For now this year I’m trying to seek out the Milescraft track and upgrade my Ryobi 5 1/2” to the 7 1/4” brushless. I just need to break down sheet good, and my job site table saw just aint big enough to use safely, and the kreg accucut doesn’t work nearly as well as I’d hoped it would. I work out on my back deck so dust collection isn’t an issue but the extremely limited elbow room is

      The skil saw is the same as the flex Inline saw basically. I'd buy the flex saw and the miles craft if that's the route you want to go. The skil modified plate might have issues working with the mill craft.

    I don't see the WEN in there. But I know why, for me its perfect as I do only 90s. Also, this saw you have to pull and push at same time to keep it level or else you get flex, which I see in other saws too. For the price, it's very cheap for this purpose (table building, squaring ends). Ya ya, TS60 fes is 1k + a couple hundo for track. I'm aware. lol.

    I have both the Makita 36V and more recently 'upgraded' to the Milwaukee - both are excellent saws that cut like a laser. Neither is 100% perfect, but neither will disappoint.
    Things the Milwaukee has going for it: 1 battery, easier blade changes (locks in place), riving knife, and little drop-down 'guard' up front that helps with dust collection. One or two gripes: no bluetooth for automatic dust collector activation, and the track adjustment knobs don't seem to have enough resistance to prevent accidentally turning them out of adjustment.
    No regrets getting the Milwaukee, but now I have a Makita 36V to sell.

    I was looking up track saws the other day and noticed Grizzly makes a chorded track saw that comes with THREE 36 inch long tracks for $220 and I don't know why for the life of me more people aren't talking about that. That's cheaper than almost any other track saw kit I've seen.

    • @davidperalta5280
      @davidperalta5280 Před 6 měsíci +2

      Joining tracks straight is a huge pain in the ass, and I've done it with 2 118", 2 55" a 6 foot Stabila, etc. The longer reference lengths help but can't imagine the smaller 36". The joint is weak, and precarious when moving the track on and off pieces to cut. At 36" you are guaranteeing a joint for most cuts since the saw needs a bit of track overhang. A single 55" track does 90% of my cuts. Also, that's ignoring the likely shit quality of the tool itself. Personally, I would go with(and went) with the Makita/Festool track. Festools are cabinet makers tools, precise and lovely to use. That said the Makita platform can do it all. The sheer range of saws Makita offers that integrate with the track are also vastly superior to Milwaukee. In addition to the plunge saw, I have a 10 1/4 Makita that makes ripping 12/4 Sapele a breeze.

      From my understanding on what I read from others, it seems to not be very good. I have no time with it but from the very small sample size, I am not impressed. Seems the wen is better.
      Edit: Not saying for anyone not to try it, just that from the looks, its worth doing a little extra research on.

    • @cameronbarber3768
      @cameronbarber3768 Před 6 měsíci +1

      I'm just saying, for $220, its the cheapest option. It was my assumption that the tool would be fairly decent since grizzly is a pretty big name in the wood working game. Either way, it seems like a decent budget option if that's what's within your price range
