When Ryan hit that fantastic pass to Jones with an all star catch going out of bounds late, to put you in FG range. That should have been it. Possess the ball, 3 one yard runs, run time off and boot it for 3...would have sealed it. Even a miss would have worn down the clock. It was your coaching not respecting the game.

But tbh, leading up to this game Falcons fans never truly believed they would win this one just based on the excitement of the fans in various venues around town. Sure, we were all happy to be there but not sure if we could beat the Pats. So this was was not as bad as the rest of the football world wants to make it for Atlanta. Two years later, Atlanta hosted the SB and we were elated the Saints got robbed by the Rams. A Saints appearance in the SB in Atlanta WOULD have been soul-crushing.

Vegas had the Pats by six at kick off and nobody I knew in Atlanta saw us winning outright. Even die hard fans took the points.

4:37 - I love that quick clip of Gronk there on sideline. He's there for his team, he's not sitting around feeling sorry for himself because he's not in the game, and best of all, when Brady decides to run the ball himself, he looks genuinely concerned for his friend out there because he's knows the moment Brady decided to run it himself, the QB protections are now gone, and he's fair game to get creamed out there!! When Brady makes the first down and slides before getting killed by the opposing team, Gronk also looks relieved AND stoked that Brady got it done safely....

Him and Adrien B, didn't go Party on New Year's Eve, because they were training for a fight! And damned if Adrien didn't win February 21, 2021. Julien Edelman NEVER gave up and kept his team in the game by his comeback Attitude and Mentality! That was the Greatest Comeback in Super Bowl History and The Immaculate Reception II, was the Best Damn Catch (Triple Teamed) in Super Bowl History as well! Thank you for sharing your Story Julien, You called it too! You said that you'd have one hell of a story to tell and you willed it to be!

    The Overtime coin toss
You could see it on Matt Ryan’s face. He knew it was over.
They really let a 28-3 lead slip away in the SB.
Gotta feel for him, so brutal.

Well, he lost to the GOAT so he can't be too upset.

Nah he blew it. Took a sack in game sealing field goal range and didn't score in the last 20 minutes. Loss is more on him and the offense shutting down. Everyone knew atlanta had to score a lot their D was never good

From comeback kid to comeback grandpa, Brady does it all and did it to everyone. Makes me kinda think if he talked to the team before the game and said: "Guys we gotta play miserable, give them a big lead, so we can make the biggest comeback of all time" :D

This was a phenomenal edit. Wow. Beautifully written, and executed. You brought the raw emotion out of that moment. It's not statistics, it's a moment. Well done to the NFL throwback youtube.

Pats defensive coach pooped his pants in the Superbowl the following year.

That was more on the lack of personal, they lost Sheard, McClellin, long and Logan Ryan to free agency and lost Ninkovich to retirement, there front 7 was decimated already by the start of the next season and then Hightower got hurt in I believe the first game and missed the rest of the season

Belichick effectively threw that game by keeping Malcolm Butler out of it and Philly feasted on his absence. Bill was pissed about the Jimmy G trade.

So many things had to go right for this comeback to happen. And every single thing went right. Amazing game. Amazing story.

Greatest Superbowl ever. My 1.5 year old was exhausted by half time so I put her to bed and went to sleep myself assuming that the game was done. When my wife came to bed she told me that the Patriots had won and I was dumfounded. Luckily I had set the DVR (along with a 2 hour buffer) so I got up at 3 a.m. and watched the whole game before going to work.
