I have never commented on a single CZcams video but I have to share with you, my dad has RA and he is on medication for life. However, we found a holistic Naturopath Dr formulated tumeric powder that has a ton of other adaptogens and anti-inflammatory clean ingredients. It sounds like it would be nasty but it actually tastes like a snickerdoodle cookie 🍪 it is not medication but it really helps his pain and inflammation. I’d love to bless you with a few sticks of it to see if it helps you. ❤

Hi Mandy, I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. I'm glad you have a PCP who you like and have a good relationship with. I'm sure she's a great doctor. I'm not disagreeing that you may have RA, but the symptoms you are displaying could also be ADDITIONAL issues. I would highly recommend asking her AND the Rheumatologist to rule out EDS, Lupus, as well as Hodgkins and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Also inquire about Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. The bruising, petechiae (red little dots) can be connected to that as well as the other mentioned illnesses. When you inquire, you will probably hear "Oh, you don't have loose skin and a large head so you don't have EDS". Not true. Some people don't display those obvious symptoms. Or you'll hear "You don't have Lymphoma because your labs (especially white blood cells) are fine". Not true. I myself with Lymphoma NEVER showed off labs, but still have Lymphoma. I and others have found it's best to arm yourself with all the knowledge you can for these type of listed ailments, then go to the docs and say "rule this out" instead of what's my diagnosis. And if they try to poo poo you with "Oh, that's rare"... Ok, well it still happened to SOMEONE to be considered rare. Hope this helps, and good luck. ♥

I’m Sure you’ve heard of Jordan Peterson. His daughter Mikhaila has RA & she was able to change her life through the carnivore diet. I’ve been rotating keto & carnivore for my various health issues for the last year and a half & I’m living life fine more days than not now. EVERY time I eat or drink something that isn’t in line with keto/carnivore my symptoms come back and punish me. There are even foods that I have to avoid that are considered keto.
I know it sounds crazy to live like that and to be so strict, but for my life personally, it is worth it to feel good again.
Sending love your way, glad it wasn’t leukemia. I hope you’re able to heal. ❤

Praying for you to get the RA under control...I was diagnosed in March 2022 with moderate to severe RA and am finally getting to a manageable level almost a year later. It really is debilitating at times and having a daycare with 5 littles under 3 years old, homeschooling and earning a college degree myself has been interesting for sure. A hand massager is definitely on my Amazon wish list!

Thanks for the update, and thank God it’s not cancer! I’m your age and have RA (for a few years now). I refused the medication for the first 1 1/2 yrs. I completely regret not starting treatment immediately (tried the natural path first) bc I no longer have cartilage in my wrists and probably more joints now because it progressed so rapidly. I hope that you find a treatment plan that works and quickly. Praying for you! Your channel has blessed me so much with my homeschooling journey with a chronic illness. Thanks again for what you do here on youtube!

    Dear Mandy,
I totally believe you and understand chronic illness. Like some of the previous comments have said, be sure to rule out Lupus and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. In 2022, I also had a scare. I was sent to oncology due to some scary labs. Thank God, it was okay... but I know how that feels and I cried all the way home because I saw so many patients in there that didn't get the good news I did. Yes, I deal with many chronic illnesses, but God is faithful and he will never leave us. Please keep us updated.
    Hugs, Maranda

We have been seeing multiple specialists and still don’t know what she has. Now we have to see another one because something is wrong with the bone in her foot. Homeschooling during all this has been tricky but I understand have to take some breaks. Hopefully they can help you with the RA symptoms/ flare ups.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Last August I went for tests to be reassured that everything was fine. Didn't take my husband because I assumed it would all be good. But I was told I had breast cancer. It was really scary hearing that and having to deal with it on my own. I had diagnosis, specialist appointment and surgery within 3 weeks. Now half way through chemo. But I am sick of being sick. Lots of health issues that would be minor but exasperated by the chemo. But I have my eyes fixed on the light at the end of the tunnel. Lessons I have learnt; Be kind to yourself, and let others help you when they offer. All the best.

I haven’t even finished the video yet, I’m so sorry if this has already been addressed, but the bruises sound like Lyme. My sister had it, and they caught it in time and she recovered, but my friend who got it unfortunately has to live with the symptoms for the rest of her life. You may have already mentioned Lyme in the video, but I wanted to make sure I said this in case I cannot finish the video!
With both my friend and my sister most of the bruises were the size of a thumbprint and bright red. My friend was assumed to have Lupus and RA and she insisted they test her for Lyme after time passed.

I’m so sorry to hear about your newest health condition. I have a soft place in my heart for you because my middle daughter has been diagnosed with CVS. I know you are probably being inundated with “helpful” advice to the point of being overwhelmed. I do not want to add to your load, but feel led to put a bug in your ear. I’d love for you to look into fasting for healing. I intermittent fast and it has helped me with some of my health issues. When my 9 y/o is full grown, I’m going to beg her to fast. It has been shown to help with so many autoimmune issues…as well as migraines. I’m not a doctor…but, I do believe in this age old practice. Praying for a complete recovery.

I have to tell you I experienced something incredibly similar this past year. Random bruising with no trauma, those red dots on my toes and feet. I also had random pain going from one joint to another. I had labs run and my platelet count was at 10,000 and normal range is 150,000-350,000. I ended up diagnosed with ITP. I was on prednisone steroid treatment for 6 months and then ended up receiving 4 weeks of Rituxan treatment. Praise the Lord my platelet count numbers are finally in check and I’m off of the steroid, which took a huge toll on my body. All this to say, your not alone on waking up with these random things and I’m going to be praying for you.

    • @mandy-maltz
      @mandy-maltz  Před rokem +1

So many suffer in the dark but sharing your journey could help so many others who may be going through the unknowns of diagnosing. Have you tried, or are you able to utilize, turmeric as an anti inflammatory? I don’t have severe pain but notice a difference when I take it. I hope you’re able to find things that help alleviate your pain. I’m so glad you have more peace in the situation. Hugs!

RA is such a hard thing to live with especially in the colder months. I’m so glad it’s not the ugly C word, but still heartbroken it’s RA as well. I’m in the same boat with not being able to take Tylenol or ibuprofen very much without other things going wrong ugh nothings going to stop it, but I’ve found the adding ginger and turmeric to my coffee or tea and foods do help when you’re in a flare up. It doesn’t take away all the pain but it helps much like Tylenol or ibuprofen would without the side effects. I really hope you get answers and medication that really helps you!

Mandy, Harvard Medical School advocates acupuncture as one treatment for RA. (Google and you can find articles from them.) Acupuncture has worked for me with autoimmune diseases and migraines. I am unable to tolerate pharmaceutical drugs, the side effects compound my issues, I can't even take over the counter drugs. My acupuncturist also works with me to find Chinese medicines to help with pain. I know you aren't asking for advice, but I just wanted to share some food for thought.

Something very similar happened to me, though I had it isolated to one of my thighs… and later similar things across my stomach and chest. Still investigating, but I do have long Covid, which has caused so much in the past year like POTS, MCAS. Have you ever been diagnosed with EDS? With your bruising history, health/headache history it sounds so much like EDS to me as a possible root cause for everything (it’s a genetic condition).
