@@nines8887 the katana was a last resort weapon a samurai would use anything other then there sword one of the many reasons was because it wasn't very reliable short range and could break easily which is why samurai would carry two swords just incase because of the low grade steel compared to a spear/naginata or bow which are all very reliable and long range weapons you can easily stay far away and safe from your enemy's
