West Jefferson to Deep Gap, US 221 South

A drive on US 221 South between West Jefferson and US 421 in Deep Gap.
After years of construction, US 221 has been widened and improved to a four-lane expressway with at-grade intersections and traffic signals. The new roadway mostly follows the path of the original highway but has been flattened with deeper cuts through the hills, and includes broader curves.
