122tm is my favourite tank. It works in all maps in all matchmaking. You dont really care if you fight tier 10 tanks. It just works. The dpm is low, but you deal damage consistently because the gun is reliable.
What 122TM teaches us is that DPM is far from everything. I really, really like this tank, its gun and its turret.
DPM its just a part of the fire power
DPM is far from everything when your team is not losing and you can peacefully snipe from somewhere. It's not far from everything when enemy is pushing you for 1 vs 1 with this tank. You shoot once, he shoots 3 times and kills you.

I like this tank, but it really struggles with 15-1 simulator.
I like the tank too, I mean the penetration is great for grinding credits and the gun accuracy makes up for all the other mediums that would miss a shot or two with the faster reload. The DPM stat is only true if you can hit and pen every shot (which this gun helps in both those requirments) as soon as reload is complete. True higher DPM is king in brawls but I find for support and sniper tanks that are only taking shots of oppourtunity for the duration of the game DPM less of a factor.

One of my favorite tanks because I love the more support play style. Surprisingly punchy, surprisingly accurate for a chinese tank, and enough armor to bounce more then you think it should. It's the M4 Ravioli on steroids... and not on a T5 hull.
Well if we take closer look this tank has pretty good armour , good mobility 8 degrees of gun depresion , nice penetration 233 ap! but don't rely on your armour too much because the gun have too long reload time ! Just peek shoot and go back right away don't expose yourself too much!

This tank was my second ever premium when I got it from the marathon and I used to absolutely despise the vehicle. I didn't play bad with it but it took me 150+ battles to learn to like it. It's quite versatile if you are used to it.

i love the 121b and i dont have 122tm but still loving when i got the chance to get it despite the low dpm. I hate it that they re covered the missile launchers and the 2 barrel DShK machine guns. DPM is low that u wished that the 4 missile launchers can work to engage tanks at your command while your main gun is reloading
When I rented this I found that it was very good credit maker. You almost never need gold rounds. Turret is bouncy also.
I love this tank! Once I got used to the reload and slapped a bounty turbo on it, it's all good!

I got this tank from christmass boxes last year, havent played a battle in it yet because I hated the DPM on paper, im gonna have to dust it off now :)
It's so chill to play, I use it as my go-to stress relief tank.

Alpha and hull down, 2 of the 3 important aspects nowadays (speed is the other)

8 degrees gun depression, obj. 430u turret armor, high alpha, high pen, fantastic ammo selection, this can play hull down, it can snipe from the back, hell i am even equipping it with bond optics and playing forward scout.
This thing doesn’t shoot often, but when it shoots it hits. and it hits hard.

One of the better premiums even when the DPM is far from being perfect. If they give the DPM a small buff like 1 shot per 10,5-11s it would be perfectly balanced.
The thing why everyone love this tank is because lack of dpm actually. Because you cannot shot every 7-8 seconds like other tanks even you wanna hurry you just cannot. So that most of the time 10 seconds spotting time is done while you try to peek because reloading time is 13-14 sec.Therefore tank is very new-friendly if you ask me. Also gun handling is very good so u usually hit your shots. You cannot get penned by even heat t10 shells from turret most of the time. Its more like a t34-3 with way better gun handling and good penetration-good armor without special matchmaking
yes, it is very beginner friendly as it forces you to play carefully, kind of passiv. this and the kind of forgiving features of the tank as long you don't peek against a JgPzE100 or FV4005😀😀

you still can easily play against tier 10 besides your crippled DPM. and if you get t6 matchmaking you just go blblbl and farm everyone
i think this is my tank with the most high calibers earned, more often than not everything else compensates for the dpm if you play carefully
I personally cannot trust the gun. Yes, the aimcircle ist small, but shots hit everywhere in the circle. I have the same issue with Leopard 1. I feel like the Boratgun ist more reliable than this one. But maybe I am special.

This is basically a medium tank version of the Lowe, if you think about it.

Like my KPZ. 8 degrees of gun depression, great turret armor and great pen. It’s a pseudo heavy.
The diff is that this tank has better alpha and side armor, and dogwater DPM.

This is actually my favorite premium tank. It's my work horse
This tank is a bit "stressful" to play in these 15-2 simulator games. Like you literally need to hit every shot in those first 2 minutes of the game (while you take one minute to just drive into position) in order to have a decent 2k damage game, which I feel is a bit on the low end.

Hits hard but slow, not a TD or heavy but not fast like a medium. It’s a very odd duck.
In lower tier matches you’re god like though with the armor.
122TM would a close to OP tank if not for the horrible dpm with this reload. great gunhandling, good alpha and penetrations, good armor and acceptable (not good, not bad) speed are points to exploit on this tank. look on winrate, average wn8 and moe to see this clear.
as secondary setup - or actualy my first set up i use vents, rammer and optics for getting the best dpm and viewrange. secondary i use vents,rammer and typical stabilizer. though i mostly stick with first setup.
with the long reload the kind of low ammo supply is no problem - luckily hahahaha
400 alpha guns feel the worst, you know every time you don't see your damage starting with a four you just low rolled. In my experience they low roll all the fucking time.
I find this tank about as toxic as Borat. Insane gun handling, high alpha and high penetration, combined with armor that is better then many heavies at tier 8. What usually happens is that if it gets in hull down position and has some support it plays like a heavy and is better then them. Lazy players go full gold quite often too.
This tank has looong reload, atleast insted of 400 alpha they could make it like 420-440 alpha, it would be much much better..

or keep damage same and decrease reload by 1-1.5 seconds even IMO.

yes, reload is horrible, but the 400alpha for a T8 medium is great. not all T10 mediums have it as well not all T8 heavies. It even allows you to trade one or 2 shoots with other T8 mediums, let them wait on the corner and get 240 for giving them in high roll the double in return.

If you are new to the game Obj 430U or Obj140 or M48 Patton will be pretty good for you

For pubs 430U is dummy proof, the 140 can be god like, Leo1 best at sniping, if you wanna zoom CS-63, hull down STB, clip someone TVP, and finally meme ram E50. Depends how you like playing.

I really loved this tank when I first got it but nowadays it seems like every time I take it out, I just get cupola sniped to death. Great tank otherwise.

There are some tanks that you can push forward without friends. but this isn't one of them. Re-f@%king-load time is going to get you killed in a nose to nose brawl. Otherwise it is a fine tank. A little slow, not wicked accurate (waaay accurate for Chinese), and decent armor hull down.
I love this tank, I have better performance than with the Progetto and Lis, Easy 3 marks
Surprised to hear you say that the Skorpion is better for your play style. I seem to remember you hating tanks with unreliable guns, and there are few that are worse than the Skorp. I have had far too many games where I see 10 or more ghost shells leave the barrel. Truly one of the more painful tanks I have marked.

@@92Koondog92 I'm just trying to say, while skorpion has rather bad bloom (movement dispersion) the accuracy and aim time are beautiful, chef's kiss type deal. Not many better guns in the game
122tm=leopard with 10-15% less gun handling and 30-40% more armor. So when u are in a mood to just sit back and relax, get Leopard tier 10 german. When u want to make some money and maybe play a bit active, play 122TM. leopard plays well at 400+ distance from enemy. 122TM plays well between 200 and 400.
This is a great tank but in 5 min turbo battles is unusable sadly .
i dont mid dpm is bad but mobility not good aswell. thats a huge problem.

Gun is better than my leopard
Pz. 58 is a toy near this vehicle. Pen is inferior, alpha is well inferior, accuracy is a little less, mobility is quite equal. Just DPM. The problem is that with bad pen dpm means nothing. And with no armor too because mobility and gun handling are not god on 58.
58 has more viewrange but it can't play in front because no armor. The armor of 122 let it play more advanced and spot too much much better than 58. And because of pen and accuracy and armor it can fully aim, hit and pen. While this 58 just miss or bounces like crazy. So 58 dpm is hollow.

dpm was really the downside of this tank.. 1 on 1 situation with same tier medium tank on an open field was the worst thing will happen. imagine you will be damage in ammorack over over until you're dead.

Couldn’t think of a more hated tank no one should put themselves through this pain
122TM needs the support from team and the right positions to be safe. there is mostly no way to win a one on one stand off, not even to speak on when you get pushed by 2 or 3 tanks. Skill surviving the push was due to team mates in back picking off the borrat. It's not just 'hulldown' you need to know on this tank, ore important is 'KEEP DISTANCE'

122 TM is China's response to the T-62. It is sad that it is at tier 8 as a premium instead of Tier 9 or even Tier 10.
Wargaming are truly a special sort of Intellect when designing their game.
I disagree about the gun. My 122 TM cant hit Lowes lower plate from 10 meters with 0.26 accuracy. Im honest. This tank doesnt like me...

I quit after the Ukraine invasion. I was already hating the game before.
I can say, per the charts that I can find, that it sure isn't growing that for sure. NA used to get around 20-25k, now it hovers around 10-15k and has for a few months.
Actually, numbers are solid and they have made a lot of overdue improvements. Matches are too one sided, but that is the biggest issue currently IMO.
@@OctaneWorkholding Doesn't matter about the numbers its the player base and the skill and knowledge base has evaporated. The games are terrible there are no improvements as its just much much worse. I have been hooked for the last couple of days out of morbid fascination of how bad things are.
The 15-2-1 simulator is at an all time high and have been getting some record scores but it doesn't feel good to be laughing at others being so bad its just feels bad.
Tanks is OK. But I prefer T-34-3.
