Right on. I love the style and look of these helmets. It's great that they actually listen to you and the consumers. A lot of companies say they want customer feedback to improve the product, then it's like, "Oh, that's nice. Let's just keep doing it the same way, cause it's easier and cheaper."
I held off on the 1.0 because of some complaints with fit and finish at $450+ you have to make sure it feels premium because Arai and Shoei are amazing. Super quite and comfortable. I do wish these had Snell but thats asking for alot lol. 2.0 seems like its finally worth the price no more just a cool looking helmet but one worth it on multiple levels.

You are one of the few Motovloggers that I can actually watch a gear review video from that doesn't make me annoyed. Always informative and never jamming too much unneeded fluff in there. Also freaking awesome helmet.
The helmet is still massive. You have no idea how big it is until it's on your head, especially if you're a smaller person. The visor locking system is pretty average, and the wind noise will still be an issue because it comes in under that huge chin gap

I'll go with another manufacturer before considering RuRoc again. Also my current Atlas is going to become an archery target once my scorpion exo-st1400 carbon comes in.
Waiting on the new Scorpion EXO R1 should be available soon in the use. Been rocking the EXO R2000 for 3 years and loved it. Maybe Ruroc worked out the issues, reckon we'll see.
Well they're two different types of safety ratings, Snell is for all-out safety regardless of size/weight, ECE is focused on safety with the most minimal size/weight. Both good in their own right

I really really want to like this helmet, I think it looks great no issues there. But that lid locking system I’m still not convinced.. I’m a Shoei guy, take some pointers from their lid mechanism, lid gaskets and detents, also i need my lid lever on my throttle hand side, that way i can crack my lid open while holding the clutch on a red light. 👍
The best feature about my old HJC FG-17 was the center lip for this reason as well. I love my RF-1200 but Shoei needs to either take a page out of HJC's book on that or explain why they keep it on the side

really hope they fixed the screw issue, noise issue, and cheek pad issue. love mine minus those issues on the first model. however, the shockwave is by far the worst speakers ive ever listened too. sounds like blown out speakers and at full volume cant hear at all above 40mph. very sad bc it looks amazing.
Perfect. I can't update the Firm Software for the Shockwave because the Desktop Software says it's "incompatible". All i wanna do is to connect my TomTom. Doesn't work at all. My other Helmet does connect but not the Atlas great. The Chin Strip is too tight for me. It pinches my Throat. I already set it up for max Lenght. The Size of the Helmet fits but not the Chin Strip 😕.
The atlas Typhoon appears even cooler than this. I see they make snow mobile helmets. Don't see any for adventure riding....first time I see this brand, cheers from South Africa.
The visor seal looks much like the old one. Which was one of my biggest annoyances. Block, looking to hear your honest review on this. Please don't BS on this.
It's totally different, nothing like the original. This one relies on the spring loaded back force to seal shut - the old one used a sort of windscreen wiper seal to keep it closed which is why it was a little stiff. This version is far superior :)
I got eyeglasses with that stuff in them. I didn’t like it, because it took way too long to change either way. A helmet visor, though, might be a good use of that technology.
@@thewok I've hade a visor with it and it was awesome. Tinted up on the walk to the bike and you didn't need a second one for if you stayed out past dark. Sucks that they are normally pretty pricey
Okay I'm interested again seems like they fixed all the issues from the last version. But competition is tough at that price point cause they're are so many great helmets around the 500 dollar range.
Except most of the other helmets in the $400-$500 range are actually worth the money. Hell, I got my RF-1200 for $375 and watching this video, it's not difficult to see where they skimped out on the ***revised*** Atlas This helmet would have tough competition if it were under $250. HJC just released their F70 at right around the $250 mark, for example. Between the Atlas 2.0 and F70, the HJC looks like a much better helmet. Plus the bluetooth units that you can get with it are based on the Sena 10S or 20S which means you can use them for more than listening to music...
I’m still waiting for mine. They said a month ago. That they got a bunch of helmets in and are gonna ship first couple of weeks in April......😭😭 still nothing.
Question. How do these fit compared to shoei’s? And most importantly are they glasses wearer friendly? I love the designs but I’ve been hesitant because the online reviews are all over the place
How is that visor lock? I was Interested in the 2.0 till i saw the pin visor lock. I have the Icon airframe pro and it has the same thing. Its the only thing keeping me from getting another because I absolutely hate it.

Oh I 100% agree. This helmet was for my 40th my wife bought it and a few family members chipped in. I literally ride everyday rain or shine they would have gotten a wicked review now literally making a CZcams video to bash how shitty the customer service is..

Shoei guy here as well but never had an issue with the clutch hand visor opening with my throttle hand
