We need a Microsoft corporation that writes updates that doesn't causes these performance degradations. They do the opposite since i use Windows computers and it sucks.

IT WORKS!!! THANK YOU!!!! My computer went from Windows7 to Windows 10 when the 7 support stopped. It became un usably slow till it ran for about 10-15 minutes. It's still lags a little bit, but nothing like before. I kept this old machine to run the programs on it. Now I can again!

I would click on an app and had to wait about 30 seconds for it to open. After doing what you suggested, there is now no more lag time. I subscribed and liked. Keep up the good work. This is the forth video I've tried... and it really helped, even before doing the last step "Windows Update Run". Two thumbs way up! Had to turn on captions and watch each part over and over, but well worth it. Been struggling for days. Now it's back to acting like a snappy machine.

This worked GREAT thank you! Very easy to understand and follow. I do have one question. I have an ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 GX550LWS 308 which I bought used. I of course went through the checks and troubleshooting I know of after purchase and was running perfect. After the Windows update, as you mentioned in your video, it started to run sluggish. Followed your video yesterday and was running even faster and smoother than when I purchased it! However, when starting it up first thing this morning I noticed it was a bit sluggish again and went back and followed your steps. I noticed all the files I deleted the first time were all back and this time after running the Windows troubleshooting it detected an issues which was corrected. Did I miss something the first time or is there a way to have this permanently fixed or did I purchase a lemon?
The windows update troubleshooter worked for me. I've never had an issue like this with an update before, but last time I updated my performance took an absolute dump. Chrome and other programs were loading for ages, and it had nothing to do with my connection.
Highly recommended! The only video which clearly shows the instructions in the simplest way! Worked for my laptop which was lagging since last 6 months!

Update: A lot of things are running quicker, but I think I narrowed the problem down to specifically the GPU. I tried to launch Yakuza 0, which I can normally run just fine with no issues. It would get past the black screen that comes after the initial splash screen. When I went to task manager to end task, the GPU usage said 100%, whereas it's usually around 10%. I am trying anything I can to redo the driver update or maybe roll back to the old drivers, but I have no idea how.
@@jvoncoad1306 What I wound up doing was I had to head over to the Dell website and go to the drivers and downloads page. I searched for my laptop model, and it turned out that I need around 20+ critical updates that Windows Update _and_ the Dell Support Assist app failed to get for me. So, depending on the company that made your PC, you might want to check their website for any missing drivers. My main issues were the drivers for the BIOS, CPU, and additional GPU drivers.
So wdym? Do you mean you apllied these steps then you got a new problem with your GPU, or your PC ran fine before the update but after doing all these steps you just found out that the main problem was only on GPU?

I wouldn't recommend installing Windows 11 to anyone, it's just the re-skinned version of W10, plus some modifications to make your life more complicated & annoying. W11 is literally the worse OS in the history of OS. I uninstalled pre-installed W11 OS form my new device & installed Windows 10...

I did this with the intent that I’d lose everything on my computer I didn’t! And I just wanna say thank you for making this fast easy and actually make a difference in my computer thank you ❤
unfortunately, my laptop is still extremely slow. I did ALL steps very carefully. It takes a long time to start a program as well as X out a program. When I ran the troubleshoot for windows update, it detected a problem. Once I restarted my computer, everything was still very slow. EVERY time I run the windows update troubleshoot, it detects a problem and says the issue has been fixed but it hasn't. Again, it always detects a problem. This is so frustrating.
Try Repairing Windows Search cmd then run as admin and execute the following 3 commands one by one- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Restart. Once Done Trying Running System File Checker SFC Scan sfc /scannow Restart. Windows Updates- Install all the latest Updates and then Restart the PC.
1/1/23 and this trick still valid! I borrow my father laptop because my laptop charger is broke, and my father laptop performance so slow and heavy. When i use this trick its work well 💯

Use any cleaner to clean junk and cache on a regular basis.

Nope, windows 11 actually looks super clean and unless ur system is very slow windows 11 actually is smooth
I agree. After W11 update. My system went to sloth mode.
Windows 11 is more stable and optimized for 12 th gen motherboard and processor.

unfortunately, my laptop is still extremely slow. I did ALL steps very carefully. It takes a long time to start a program as well as X out a program. When I ran the troubleshoot for windows update, it detected a problem. Once I restarted my computer, everything was still very slow. EVERY time I run the windows update troubleshoot, it detects a problem and says the issue has been fixed but it hasn't. Again, it always detects a problem. This is so frustrating.
for me when i do the sfc /scannow its says i gotta be an administrator

Try Repairing Windows
Search cmd then run as admin and execute the following 3 commands one by one-
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Restart.
Once Done Trying Running System File Checker SFC Scan
sfc /scannow
Restart.
Windows Updates-
Install all the latest Updates and then Restart the PC.

1/1/23 and this trick still valid! I borrow my father laptop because my laptop charger is broke, and my father laptop performance so slow and heavy. When i use this trick its work well 💯
