Not entered into the 60m this year though, which will def have helped him. I wonder if he plans on doing any 100m events prior to the big meets to help his 200. He has to perform this outdoor season though. 19.8's to go pro imo.
@@reddragon1572 He did 19.92 against a headwind of 0.9 m/s at age 21. Should be below 19.8 several times a year this year by age 24-25. He's definitely on track. Also now the two-time NCAA champion in the indoor 200. Only 21 athletes ever went sub-10 younger than him too.

This 200M was the fastest in the world this year, following up his 300M at Clemson, which was also fastest in the world this year, and he ran 45.19 in the first leg of the 4x400 as couple of weeks ago, I believe 2nd fastest in world. Don't forget he also won the 200M NCAA indoor back in 2021... Yeah, but it was all about the lane he was in... whatever!!!

I watched Boling become somewhat of a star while in high school. Coming into the college realm, he was a little better than "okay". But now.... I think he is finding his stride. He hasn't peaked yet....which is scary. I don't know this young man personally. But from what I've seen TV-wise and other athletes who compete against him say that he's an extremely humble person. That's one helluva compliment!
This is the year for boling to show what he really has. Ncaa always has s always had athletes who runs fast but usually never performs on the international stage. That was THE story of this track meet (B. Wilson’s 400 was big news too). But Alfred, this lady is on FIRE right now. She is running scary fast - like 10.6 she ready to challenge Shelly-Ann fast.

If Orogot had a whiff of a good start, he would have run .15 - .20 seconds faster, his closing speed is crazy, a gear no one else could match. Kudos to Boling, well-deserved win and he looks SO much more relaxed in the final 50 meters. Think he will run 19.90 outdoor, still believe the 400m will be Boling’s best event at the next level.
I think he got overhyped as the next american sprinting great like someone who could be the next Noah Lyles. He also has what seems like over a dozen videos on this list but still, he needs to make a jump or he'll never be a reliable shot to make the team internationally

I thought Boling was treated a bit caustically by a lot of track fans last year. A lot of negativity directed at him. Stuff like he’ll never improve. This year it started to look to me like Boling had lost his edge, but not in this race. Instead of trying to pound his way around the track and win by sheer strength, he actually just ran. His form wasn’t perfect, but his energy was moving him forward instead of hitting the track like a jackhammer. I think it might do him a lot of good to go train with Jacobs in Italy for a while.

This is the NCAA...this is INDOOR. 20.13 is a FINE time for college, but NOT top-echelon at the world-class level. Speaking of which, how often do you see the very best at the world-class level running indoors? That list at 0:57 would have A LOT more familiar names on it if they did.
The fact that Matthew is running so well shows that other whites should be able to compete as well. There needs to be affirmative action for white sprinters.

When Boling runs relaxed with good form he’s almost always going to win. He just needs to consistently do it

This is the NCAA...this is INDOOR. 20.13 is a FINE time for college, but NOT top-echelon at the world-class level. Speaking of which, how often do you see the very best at the world-class level running indoors? That list at 0:57 would have A LOT more familiar names on it if they did.
The lane 5/6 thing is why you don't see 200m in any international competitions indoors.
