@@BrandonDouglasYT ok, thank you very much. It’s a lot of work but my dream is a TR6070(C7 Z06 manual) swap in a 2001-2004 corvette Z06 so I can get the close ratio gearbox with a long ass overdrive. If not I’ll settle for a C6 ZR1 tr6060.
@@ryanrake2714 I’m on to this hunt too. I have a 06Z (TR6060) I believe you can buy ZR1 5th gear ratio to keep 5th short, then just keep 6th factory. But get 3.73’s, so you still retain your OD 6th…although slightly shorter. That should make 1-st through 4th more close ratio from the 3.73’s, then 5th is much shorter due to ZR1 ratio…making 1st-5th all shorter, while still keeping OD 6th 🤔
@@T-CainesZR1 really hard to say I only have had one pass on this setup. My trap and ET both were better than before I did my hi ram and 3.90 but I had a shitty launch in this video.
@@lozano1224 I haven't been back to the track since this video because it gets so damn packed. HOWEVER I pulled my PRC heads and had the guides replaced, milled .030, switched to Johnson 2126 lifters and new cam. I'm going to FL2K in October so hopefully I can get some new data. You're going to LOVE the 3.90's though.
You have never even been down a dragstrip. The only cars that engine brake are old POS that don't have good brakes that shouldn't even be on a dragstrip.
@@danielmince9261 If you understand your cars gearing there is practically no excessive clutch wear. Personally I always used a mix of rev matching and braking. But that’s my preference.

That's a realistic time. That's what they all really run or slower in real life which is impressive. Other people lie about mods on CZcams. Great job!

4th gear went to about 135-140 I believe. 70mph in 6th hear it was around 1500rpm? I sold the car in March so I can't accurately say anymore.

They are decent. Just don't use a 26" tire cause you're gonna run out of gear quick. I think my 4th won't even hit 140 unless I'm revving to 7500

Brakes are cheap compared to everything else. I didn't need to gear brake. 👍👍

@@shanestewart1498 ruin the dam clutch. It's basically still spinning from top end. Hit top end the neutral immediately=still spinning
