One thing you said that opened my eyes in the past, on DeFrancos podcast "Everyone should learn to train like they're already 45 or injured". Truer than ever. I see so many people my age (25) and people even younger already complaining about injuries, that just keep hammering cookie-cutter lifting programs week in and week out. No long term thinking.

I like this format of warming up. It's reminds me of the old GPP style warmups my high-school S&C coach used to have us perform. It was enough work to bring up weak points and to also fatigue us enough to make sure we weren't picking working weights that would snap up our shit. It kept us teens who were dripping piss and vinegar nice and humble.

I first learned dumbbell fold ins from mike o'hearn on youtube and after learning matt wenning does them too I had to bring them back. Is 20kg dumbbells a decent weight for an 82kg lifter?

Ever notice how all of the people trying to teach you to blow up your benchpress are all about 270lbs, there's gotta be a reason for that. At 185lbs, wenning warmups or not, my bench is never gonna go up like these guys bench will. The advice is top notch tho!

Absolutely love wenning warmups! Been using them for well over a year and holy fuck, looking back from when i started my bench (along with squat and deadlifts) exploded. But it’s still hard as shit counting to 25 without miscounting all the time lol.

Hey Matt my regular bench press routine I work up to to 85%-90% going up by doing singles then go back down to 75% for 3×5 for working sets .Should I repeat that every week until my deload week?
