I think bcoz Tuchel is meticulous, he noticed that CHO is fast. When he was in front, he has no room to run and use his talent. By putting him a little bit behind, he has more room to run and creates opportunities. A good manager noticed the talent đ

Hes got fantastic positional play and is good at controlling the ball, he also judges his runs perfectly and is a great tactical weapon. He just cant finish â€ïž
I think Werner need to be playing next to Giroud who's a good target man and also good in link up play, giving Werner chance to make a run behind the defenders receiving a link up pass from Giroud. Otherwise, Havertz could also overlap centrally into the box as a 3rd man running into the box.

Tuchel then works with 2 prima donnas who doesnt like to track back. Now, he has an easier job to put his attackers into pressing.
I'm sad Lampard project didn't work out, but it's understandable. It's still early in his manager career, I'm sure he'll make a fantastic return in the future though.

The actual perfect deep lying playmaker is actually Billy Gilmour. He's not afraid to progress the ball forwards. Jorginho refuses to pass forwards, opting to simply recycle the ball. Jorginho has far too many shortcomings to warrant a permanent place in the lineup.
Couldn't agree more! Reminds of me of an unpolished Verratti. Talks were circulating about them loaning Billy but from what I've seen, Tuchel spent ages praising Billy in his Burnley conference, and is seen in loads of pictures with him in training. I hope Tuchel sees this.

@@AN-filmandmusic Jorginho is average at best. He played the most forward passes by virtue of playing the most or 2nd most passes because Wolves were more than happy to let him have the ball. Look up the stats, the most common passing combo was between him and Kovacic. Neither progress the ball forward enough. Billy Gilmour is so far ahead of Jorginho it's hilarious.

It's funny because while Jorginho has more height on him, I'd argue he much more lightweight than Gilmour. Our midfield should be some combination of Mount, Gilmour and Kante. Whether it's a 2 or a 3 in midfield.

@@kaihavertzchelsea2594 Mount is not that good on the Ball and with decision making. Rather play Havertz or Ziyech as the 10. Gilmour needs to be eased in like Foden so Jorginho will be key for 1-2 seasons.
Well from his first two games it's clear that Jorginho is the man for the job for Tuchel.. EPL is competitive you can't give the most important role in the team to a kid.
You are aware that Tuchel wanted Jorghino at PSG? I know some Chelsea fans won't like it, but Jorge will become a very important player for Chelsea. That being said I can see Billy being used as a back up for him and will probably get lots of game time as well.
As for the ball-playing CB, we will see, it depends on if we plan on keeping Malang Sarr or if we are going to send him out on loan again.
This might be a W for Chelsea to sign him, he's good wit developing youngsters and if he has a good CDM he might do well

Until I see Chelsea finding ways for the ball to be passed into the box or have offensive players passing to attackers between seams and between lines I am very doubtful. Lampard seemed to get stuck in having the wings send in crosses. There was very little breaking down and causing defenders to come and play the ball player (this collapse of defenders then create spaces and lanes to pass within the box). I saw some of this from Pulisic and Mount when they were substituted, but Tuchel really needs to create an offense that creates havoc. Hudson Odoi often dribbles, but very little draws more defensive players to him. He is good in D though. We also need center field players who are unselfish and able to clog lanes and players when the otheteam wins the ball when we are deep in attack. Kante is solid, Kovacic okay, but we need another solid player in midfield like Kante.

I like coaches with good offense plays and philosophies. Jack Reynolds, Rinus Michels, Johan Cruyff, Zdenek Zeman, Pep Guardiola, Luis Enrique, Jurgen Klopp, Maurizio Sarri and Thomas Tuchel are THE BEST in my opinion.

During his first Chelsea game his passion and energy reminded me of Conte's hunger and drive. Plus the way he conducts interviews he is a charming and clever guy making the team confident reminded me during Mourinho's time. This guy was destined for the premier League. Love the videos. One of the few times I'll disagree on player choice. Jorginho doesn't move enough and lacks the defensive awareness to cover when called upon. Also for simple ball rotation, he is perfect but to actually progress into a dangerous attack is not in his skillset. That's just my POV.

Thaigo was not a ball playing CB when at PSG. Kimpembe and Marquinhos were often tasked with progressing the ball forward through line breaking passes or runs. Thiago was always much much more passive and played as a traditional CB. No nonsense and a lot of backwards and sideways passes.
I think Tuchel & L.Enrique are similar, Enrique had MSN,Tuche had Mbappe,Neymar etc;he needs to work more at Chelsea

Jorginho is not a great metronome. He passes backwards and sideways and rarely takes the option to pass forward, even the obvious passes I see him pass it backwards. Gilmour would be far better suited to that role, or even Kante at least he can make up for his passing with his immense defensive work and pressing.

Jorginho is not a deep lying playmaker. His only redeeming quality is short passing, which the other midfielders at Chelsea are great at as well. He never plays lofted balls, and cannot dribble past anyone due to his lack of agility and speed/acceleration.

As a PSG fan, I've never ever seen what you showed in your analysis in a PSG game. Never.
Most of these happened on Champions League games, but I remember Neymar coming down as a false 9 or number 10 in Ligue 1 too. Mbappe cutting inside and Bernat offering an overlap is also seen, however Mbappé is a great dribbler and speedster, so Bernat wouldn't have the ball so many times as he could have.

@@ga7889 Although PSG have by far the biggest budget and better players, Ligue 1 is nowhere near a farmers league. You can't predict who's second or who makes UCL places. There's Marseille and Lyon who are always good teams. Lille, Bordeaux, Nice and other teams could surprise sometimes. The same can be said to Serie A.
