I have so much admiration for this man. He revolutionized this sport at Porto winning 5 trophies in 2 years including europa league and champions league. At Chelsea he outclassed primed Fergie prime Wenger and prime Benitez. At inter he built a mentality of army soldiers kicking Chelsea Barcelona and bayern to win every thing. Real Madrid was not playing a quater final of cl for 8 years they played 3 semis with him as well as a LA Liga title breaking all of guardiolas records. Won the league again with Chelsea. Won titles at united with a second place. And now he's building something special at spurs. Won his first title in 2003 and since then never did 2 full seasons without silverware

Mourinho built a foundation for Real Madrid's 4 UCL titles in 2014-2018 and for both of Chelsea's UCL titles. Chelsea's 2012 triumph used most players from Mourinho's first Chelsea spell. Meanwhile, Chelsea's 2021 triumph used prime Azpilicueta as captain. Azpilicueta gained experience thanks to Mourinho playing him often in his second spell at Chelsea.

My favorite manager of all time. His tactics are brilliant and the way his team defends and counter-attacks is also fantastic. Winning the CL with Porto was incredible, conquered the PL with his unstoppable Chelsea even though the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger were there at the time, made Inter Milan one of the best teams in history from their mentality resembling that of an army prepared to go to war, and his Real Madrid side where they broke many La Liga records while facing a Barca side that were arguably the best club in Europe at the time. Even his time at others clubs after this time period like Man UTD and Chelsea (2013-2015) he still gained silverware and great success. I hope he can win a trophy this season with Spurs since it'll shut up all the critics saying that he's finished. Honestly, I wonder how Barca would've looked like if Jose got the job instead of Pep. I'm pretty sure he would've gotten success but who knows?

In Real Madrid, the direct pass for the counter wasn’t really first for Mezut Ozil, but for Xabi Alonso. It was up to him to make the key pass to the wide player (Cristiano, Di Maria, Benzema, Higuain, or Ozil) Whoever got the pass, it was THEIR DUTY to get it to the free player on either wing that was closing. Callejon, Di Maria, Marcelo, Ozil if necessary. Then, Guess who popped the goal? Cristiano, Benzema, Higuain or any player closing in.

Thank you for your football analysis.
I watched all your videos since Euro 2020 and found them very informative.
    Can I also ask you?
If you are England manager during World Cup 2006, what will you do or what do you think Sven-Goran Eriksson should do about his team tactics?
There was a lot of argument whether Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard should play together.
    My suggestion will be -
    1. Take out Michael Owen since he has been out of form since leaving Liverpool for Madrid,
    2. And put Lampard or Gerrard as False No. 10 to partner Rooney since they both like to venture and attack,
    3. Place Michael Carrack or Gareth Barry as defensive midfielder.
Let me know your thoughts on this.

Nice analysis although quite imprecise in the names of the players for what it concerns inter. Muntari played mainly the first year, being overcome in preferences by Thiago Motta. Sneijder was at inter only in the second year of mourinho, whereas the first year it was stankovic who often played higher, with Cambiasso Zanetti and Vieira to play as the three lower points of the middlefield square. Zanetti went and played left-back in the second season, when Cambiasso/Motta/Stankovic where alternating as low MF and (especially the second half of the season) Pandev (or Balotelli) were playing right-front. Muntari, in the second season was considered the 4th/5th low MF. In fact it was not unusual for Zanetti to move up in MF, leaving Chivu taking his place on the left-back.
But nothing written here takes anything away from the good job you did. ;-)

My feeling is that he is ressurected right now at Spurs. He was fading away a little bit at United maybe, but the one year rest, which he never had in his career gave him energy another perspesctive. Beware PL!

What actually makes it looks to you people that mouriho was fading at man u or finished was the effect of his ridicules at man. They tarnished his image so it appears to some like he's off. But, a first season Europa / caraboa; second season FA final and almost EpL trophy wasn't faded shade. It was success. The 3rd season was a reflection of the impact of the fans ridiculous attacks on his squad. It affected his team despite him using multiple format to adapt to the change. Mouriho have never faded. He's someone that have been attacked by FAs and rivals but non ever got him. He had fought personally with club boards and didn't get on him and also addresses media men. But, mouriho have never turn on his fans. Man u fans being the first fans to turn on him really did got him and humbled him. It was pathetic seeing them abusing and ridiculing mou despite his effort for them. Idk if mourihos predecession against man u ( while he was first tenure at Chelsea ) became a pay back from the man u fans much as Benitez was attacked by Chelsea fans over same reason. Mou used to taunt man u as at then. And, its still the same fans now.

For the same reason why some think Klopp is way better than Pep. Football evolves and coaches need to adapt to new tactics.

Pep could not win with Porto like Mourinho did. Mourinho has won big and not so big teams. He has that in his CV, Pep does not

@@adelror3026 Pep's tactics are no longer that innovative and is stubbornly stuck in the past failing to adapt to compete with Klopp's Liverpool and Flick's Bayern even if he gets a blank cheque in the transfer window, it's obvious... but so is Mourinho and that's how it works.

    • @edd0f
      @edd0f Před 3 lety

@@andreadg5429 it's because of his style. Pep needs specific types of players like he had at Barca to win. He is not going to take a modest team to play defensively and give the ball away hoping to score with counterattacks because it's not his philosophy. Mourinho on the other hand needs warriors to win big titles and that's why he failed at United even if he had decent players, but they are prima donnas that were more worried about haircuts and dances for social media than football. I think Mourinho made a mistake taking the job at United.
